The house was very well equipped for a large family reunion. There were lots of spaces within the house for gathering, playing games, and eating. Everything was well stocked. We loved the location of the house with nearby access to the lake. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!

Great for multiple families

We had four families with multiple young kids. The house was very spacious and very stocked with towels, kitchen supplies, etc. Teodor was very responsive when we needed help!

Fun getaway

This was a perfect house for a large group. We were 10 adults and 6 children and we all had plenty of room. Game room, hot tub and grill were all nice to have available. Walking distance to Hyak snopark and Summit East. Great winter time getaway!

House and location was fantastic!

We enjoyed our stay and felt welcomed. The owners were very responsive with all the questions we had prior to our stay and during. We enjoyed the location it was a short drive (5 min) to all the ski areas. The house had all the space and amenities that were described. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Mountain escape.

My family was very comfortable in the large home. It was the perfect spot for us to spend time together cooking, playing games, and enjoying the mountains. Teodor is a great host.

Huge cabin which was great for large groups

Overall the group had a great time and the layout of the house worked very well for our group. The sauna wasn’t working and the host didn’t reply to my messages when I asked for guidance. The hot tub was off and we had to figure out how to switch it out of Eco mode so it didn’t work the first night. Again overall the group had a great time and the space worked very well for our group. Great location too!

Plenty of room for the whole crew

We had a group of 12 and we definitely had plenty of sleeping room and there was lots of space for everyone to spread out. Items that took us by surprise was the size of the kitchen (very small) and there was no yard for the kids to play in. Some of the furniture was run down as well as window coverings broke and falling off the wall.

Great place for a big gathering

Pros:* Clean! Everything feels fresh and brand new! Been to few cottages and this one felt in the upper cleanliness level.* Host is awesome I've made a mistake during the booking and he was cool about it. * All amenities worked as expected. I was concerned that Sauna would be mediocre, but it got me sweating to the point of "got to get out and jump into the snow" - very satisfied.* Lots, and I mean LOTS of space! If we had 20 people we'd find a way to fit. The owner has 5-7 tri-fold mattresses, so if you have more people, you could just set those on the floors. We set two in one of the top floor bedroom and fit 7 kids into it - they loved the idea of sleeping together in that room : )* Kitchen has just about everything you need. * Warm - the heaters work well, and are able to bring the temperature to the desired warmth levels.Cons:* Screen entertainment: most remotes don't have batteries or batteries are dead. Bring your own AAA. I could have asked the owner but decided to not bother. They have 10 DVDs, but the ones we've tried didn't work. So bring your own screen entertainment.* Ski-in/ski-out: not really. You can't ski in or ski out to/from cottage. The closest lift is a good 5-10 min walk in the snow with the gear so we always took a car both directions. This was a bit of a disappointment. So overall the experience was awesome and I'm glad we made a deal with the owner. Will do a deal with them again if we have a big gathering in future!

Great stay but TV never worked

Stay was great! Excellent property! However we never got the TV to work. Did not get support from the owner. No one answered the phone when we called.

Wonderful place for a large group but we had a few frustrations

We had a good time at this location. However, upon our arrival there had been several sheetrock repairs in the house and there was sheet rock dust upstairs and on the main floor. The laundry room was particularly bad as was a bedroom. We could see our foot prints on the stairs. I notified the owner of the issues and he told me someone would come by the next morning to clean up. No one ever arrived. When I originally booked this house we had hopes that all our family members would able to join us. However, prior to our full refund date we had a daughter and grandchild from Virginia who couldn’t make it out for the weekend. I assumed I could cancel and get refunded for the two of them but was informed by the owner they don’t do refunds.

Holiday friends and family get away

Family and friends came together to relax and celebrate the holiday. Some stayed and some were close enough to just visit for the day. It was a lovely way to bring folks together and close enough to to home that provided a unique holiday experience. The home was fully stocked and is a great location for family fun.

Amazing Experience

Had a college reunion here and had an amazing time. The property itself was amazing with so much to keep us entertained and tons of very close and incredible outdoor activities to indulge in. We'll be back!

Very spacious with everything you could need.

Very large house with lots of rooms. Spacious is an understatement! The kitchen is full of absolutely anythind you could need and the dining room is big enough for 21 people. Ample garage space too.

Family snow weekend

I have nothing to compare this to because I have never done this before - learned a lot about what to expect Bottom line, everyone had fun with no major problems to deal with, a functioning Hot tub and comfortable beds made this an overall success, considering we wanted this location also.

Beautiful mountain chalet!

Rented the Grand Hyak to be close to the Summit at Snoqualmie. Had a blast skiing every day and enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, and game room each night. Teodor was a wonderful host. He responded quickly to all our questions. We will return!

Plenty of room

This house is exactly what we were looking for. All spread out for privacy if you need a break from visiting with family. The gathering areas were huge so no problem social distancing. Location superb.

A good place to be together

House was clean and check-in was seamless. The hot tub was definitely the best feature. Note that the house doesn’t have a yard or really any outdoor space to enjoy nice weather, so it would be best enjoyed in the winter as opposed to summer. One suggestion would be to add string lights to the outdoor deck for both lighting and ambiance. Overall it was a nice last minute change of scenery with our small qurantine pod of friends.

We built our-self this chalet in 2007 and remodeled/enlarged in 2020.
We live in Seattle and we come often to Snoqualmie Pass and enjoy a lot with our friends.
My background is merchant marine captain and my wife works as a legal assistant for General Attorney in downtown Seattle.

We decided to buy a piece of land not too far from Seattle and far enough to feel in the wilderness.
During the summer there are so many trails to hiking on them and listen to the birds.
Hyak Tunnel that can be walk through, is in walking distance too.
John Wayne Trails behind our Chalet.
Gold Creek loop (summer only) with a unique crystal clear lake (place for picnicking) - 5 minutes driving or 30 minutes walk.
No steep hills to drive to, close to 4 ski resorts areas (East Summit, Central Summit, West Summit and Alpental) and much more.
