Your own private retreat on ten wooded acres with 500 ft of warm summer swimming waterfront. One of a kind vacation rental with breathtaking view of the Olympic Mountains.

Enjoy a short trail to the beach where you find beach chairs, swimming vests and water toys. You can rent our kayaks and across the bay with the resident seals or explore the national forest's land to your heart's content. Enjoy paddling out to our swim/float dock or swim out to it in the summer and take in the beauty. Ride bikes down the country road into Quilcene or just take a stroll around the area and take in the jaw dropping beauty.

Enchanting three story chalet style home with a wood stove, beautiful pine wood walls and ceilings, three bedrooms with a fourth bedroom bunkhouse attached to the home . We have recently added a sleeping cabin that looks like it is out of a storybook. It sleeps 2-3 people and makes a great fifth bedroom option. There are three bathrooms, playroom with foosball, ping pong, games and movies, 2nd TV. There is a fold out couch for extra friends plus an Aero bed for extra, extra friends. Enjoy the fun cabin/lodge furnishings.

You will enjoy the large deck with both propane and charcoal BBQ's. Sit in the hot tub that overlooks the water or wander the trails on the property and take in the wondrous outdoors at its best.

Don't forget to explore the area. The hiking is fantastic! Sequim, Port Townsend and Port Angeles are short drives from the Hideaway. You can enjoy the Hideaway all year long because the activities are endless!

The home is decorated for the holidays. December is a fun month to visit. Come and enjoy the decorations with friends and family.

All profits from this rental home go to our homeless and abused animal rescue farm.

Please let me know if you want to rent kayaks as this will be calculated separately.

Please do NOT harvest any shellfish at this location.

To have an accurate pet count please let me know how many pets will be joining you in your reservation so that we can calculate your pet fee because the website does not do it.

The host was very responsive and provided all the information we needed during our stay. The house was also perfect for our group. We had 10 people and everyone had plenty of space and something to do while there. We loved the outdoor areas and enjoyed getting to see the seals every day.

This place is very remote - there's no full sized grocery store anywhere near, there aren't bars or restaurants nearby. But if you like seclusion, it's amazing - it's so quiet, except for the seals, who will keep you entertained. Kayaking on the bay is beautiful. The house is loaded with games and entertainment options. The wifi isn't great, but don't be like me and try to take a meeting from here - it won't work and that's not what this place is for. Great spot to unplug!

We had a delightful stay at Quilcene Hideaway -- so many opportunities to enjoy a stunning location, kayaking on the bay, chatting with the seals, watching bald eagles and relaxing in the many outdoor spaces. Martha is a wonderful host and the house is well equipped for a large group such as ours. Would definitely book again!

An amazing place!

This cabin is an absolutely wonderful way to get off the grid and plugged into the beauty of the Pac NW! Its situated on a beautiful hillside with immediate access to a beach that is covered in marvels to take in. They've thought of everything, from games to beach gear to makings for hot chocolate to binoculars to watch the playful seals in the beach below. Has great access to Port Townsend and Olymipic Nat'l forest and then to the broader Olympic Peninsula!The hosts were incredibly gracious and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location to anyone!

An incredible space with lots of nice touches. Kayaking with the harbor seals is a must! Enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area, feels like true solitude. Book this place now, you won't be disappointed.

What a beautiful location! A great house among the trees with a short walk to the beach to watch seals. The house was very well equipped from the kitchen to the games. The location provided eaay access to the Olympic peninsula. We will be coming back

Incredible views

The Hideaway is definitely a 10-out-of-10. The views from the house are amazing and in the more than 15 years we've been using vrbo we've never seen a house as well-stocked with supplies as this one. Our 8 and 10 year olds loved the climbing netting and the beach and the house, especially the hot tub, was even nicer than the photos. There are a couple of caveats, though. The extra cabin bedroom is very cute but only if you're ok with walking back to the house to use the bathroom at night and we found the steps to the beach very steep and uneven, it was a real struggle carrying our 1 and 2 year olds back up to the house so we only did this once. Also the house has very creaky floorboards so if you have cranky infants sleeping downstairs you need to be extra careful walking around. We loved the house but might wait a few years before taking the youngest kids back.

Cozy Cabin in the Woods

So many different options and spaces to hang out in - indoor and out! Loved hearing the seals bark on the floating dock in the winter mist on the water. My son hit the ping pong table, foosball and darts repeatedly. Incredibly equipped kitchen. Appreciate the duraflame log option if somebody say, wasn't as adept at starting the wood fire:) We stayed at New Years so it was all holiday'd out - would absolutely come back during the warm season to take advantage of the outdoor dining and water access.

Sweet property

This was our second stay at the Hideaway. We all highly recommend this property. It's a great cabin in a pristine and beautiful setting. The space is well planned with all the amenities. The kitchen has everything you need for great meal prep. Martha is a responsive host and the check in process was efficient. We would book again in a heartbeat!

Amazing property

We really enjoyed our stay at this place on Quilcene bay. The location is amazing being right on the water with awesome views of the bay. We had 16 people(8 kids) in our group and we were able to comfortably fit. Marth, the host, is very nice and gave us some great recommendations of stuff to do near Quilcene. I highly recommend this property and canā€™t wait to come back!

Cousin camping

Iā€™ll provide an honest opinion, everything was GREAT!!! Kids loved the cargo net and all the outdoor games ( we had a serious corn dog competition) lol. Plenty of sleeping room for the whole group. Upstairs was extremely hot. Bring a fan, sleep without blankets you will be fine. Jets in hot tub were not working or extremely weak. If you have bad knees or weak heart the walk to the water will be difficult. Suggest to host to store chairs by kayaks so people donā€™t have to pack them down that trail. Beach is pretty much shells so everyone including dogs should were protection. Had some issues with t.v. But we did not come to watch tv so not a big deal. With all that being said everyone loved the house and what it offered ( bring block ice for the snow cone machine!!!! ( cold syrups in downstairs fridge) lots of seating if the opportunity comes up again we would rent again and we encourage others to do the sameā€¦ thank you good family memories before everyone gets to old and busy to together.

Amazing Cabin and Property

We had an amazing weekend with a big group of friends this summer!! We enjoyed all aspects the property had to offer! The water was shallow and awesome to float on floaties because itā€™s so still and you just stick really close to the beach. Bring appropriate shoes to walk on the beach because itā€™s basically all oyster shells. Two amazing huge decks, yard games and toys, stone outdoor fireplace, really cool net to hangout on, and the hot tub!! Perfect for entertaining with large groups because there are two huge dining tables-one inside and one outside. Comfortable bedrooms and bed situation. Three bathrooms was also a huge plus! Will definitely come back!

Serene, restful get away

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful area. We enjoyed walking down to the shore, watching the seals from the deck, and eating some meals on either the porch or the deck. The beds were so comfy! We felt right at home in the well equipped kitchen and all the living spaces. Everything was clean and just as we had expected. The outdoor fireplace, large back deck, and hot tub areas were great places to gather and relax. Wished we could have stayed longer! We would definitely recommend this home for a getaway.

Martha Vaughan the owner was born and raised in Seattle area. In 1995 Martha moved to Bainbridge Island to a historic home built in 1892. This was an old farm called Blakely Hill Farm.
Martha raised three wonderful children at Blakely Hill farm.
Martha ended up buying the adjoining acreage and Blakely Hill Farm expanded.
Martha always had a love of animals of every kind. Martha's children shared this passion and soon Blakely Hill Farm grew onto an animal rescue. First there were dogs and cats, then goats, llamas, a friendly pig and horses. Lots of horses. These were animals thats last possible chance at life was that Martha would take them. Martha was the last "net" to catch/save them in most cases. Martha took neglected, beaten and just thrown out animals from all sorts of unfortunate situations.
Martha has now has moved the farm to Port Angeles Wa where she continues to take mostly horses in with her daughter. Martha says rescue animals are a slippery slope but one of the most rewarding slippery slopes.
Martha now owns and runs multiple vacation homes and a wedding venue. Martha loves the outdoors. She loves walking the dogs, riding her horses, swimming in Quilcene Bay and enjoying life in general.

I purchased this property for so many reasons. I had a huge list of wants when I was shopping for this property. I thought I would never find everything on my list. Thank goodness for my patient realtor!
I wanted waterfront property. It has to be saltwater-so I would have a beach and most importantly the water temperature had to warm up for swimming in the summer months. Quilcene Bay was the the right place for my swimming family. Quilcene Bay is such a clean pristine bay.
We wanted a place to kayak-this was the right choice again. We kayak all over this bay. The best part is that across from our property is national forest land. There are great coves to explore and no houses. What a rare treat.
We wanted waterfront acreage that was secluded. This was a great fit. We wanted a very charming type of house-cabin-hands down this was it. We wanted enough space-bedrooms-bathrooms to have our friends come and stay too.
Our list of course included somewhere with a great view, quiet and a big factor was where our rescue dogs could come and run around, swim and not disturb anyone.
We needed a quiet setting, country road that we could do our walks on...
We found everything we wanted at this property and believe me I shopped for years to find this special place.
My family has made years and years of memories at The Quilcene Bay Hideaway. We hope your family and friends can come and make memories at the Quilcene Bay Hideaway too.
