Lovely. Very comfortable with fantastic views.

The property was prefect for us. Close to the beach, close to Chania, handy for shops and restaurants. Next time we will fly into Chania instead of Iraklion (flights booked before accommodation!) and have a 10 minute drive rather than 2 hours!

LOVELY HOUSE WITH AMAZING VIEW

Everything was perfect. Alexandra welcomes us very well, the place is really beautiful : the view is incredible, from morning to evening. It's a very quiet place, and the house is really nice. Very wel furnished, nothing is missing. And we appreciate a lot the homemade orange marmalade, my favorite ! We'll probably stay here again if we have the chance

Window to paradise

We cannot say enough positive things about the gardenia garden house. It was a wonderful location to explore the beaches and hiking spots around Chania, and experience the lovely culture of the people of Sternes. It is within 10 minutes of the airport but feels a world away. Comfortable furnishings surrounded by lemon and olive trees,herbs to cook with in its well equipped kitchen all made it a comfortable home for us. Hoping to return to this lovely spot!

Perfect Sanctuary

Beautiful apartment and terrace, beautiful gardens, with incredible views across Souda Bay towards the mountain. Comfortably furnished, well equipped and nice welcome pack in the kitchen. It’s very quiet and isolated but within easy reach of everything we needed. We’re returning home fully recharged and know it’s a place we’d like to return to time and again. The host is extremely welcoming and hospitable, provided a detailed information pack and maintained excellent contact

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, alles da. Wunderbarer Blick auf das Meer. Zweite gute Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Auto ist unbedingt erforderlich. Der Strand ist in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Das Wasser ist traumhaft. Ein Punkt Abzug wegen der lauten Geräusche die vermutlich von dem Militär in der Nähe stammen. Es könnte sich um ein Stromaggregat handeln. Das läuft den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht außer am Wochenende.

Herrliche Aussicht und sehr sauberes Quartier

Die Ankunft hat sich als etwas kompliziert ergeben, weil wir offenbar die Fotos, die zum Öffnen des Schlüsselsafes dienen sollten, nicht erhalten haben. Dank Alexandras sehr gastfreundlicher Mutter, ist es jedoch gelungen. Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön, alles super gepflegt und liebevoll ausgestattet mit allem was man benötigt. Genauso wie auf den Fotos versprochen. Durch eine Gastrezension waren wir auf den Fluglärm der Militärjets vorbereitet und uns hat es nicht gestört, im Gegenteil sogar fasziniert. In der Nacht war es ruhig und wir haben gut geschlafen. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Man benötigt unbedingt ein Auto um mobil zu sein. Danke an Alexandra für das nette Willkommen. Wir wünschen ihr alles Gute und liebe Gäste.

Vacances merveilleuses

La propriété de Alexandra a comblé toutes nos attentes. Elle contient tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner, relaxer et elle est bien située près de La Canée. De plus, Alexandra est une hôte disponible et généreuse. Elle nous a laissé des recommandations complètes et très pratiques. Le logement est spacieux, propre et donne sur une vue tout à fait incroyable de la baie de Souda. Je vous le recommande fortemrnnnt.

Merveilleuse semaine

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine chez Alexandra pour visiter le nord ouest de l’île! Quelle vue à couper le souffle, matin, midi et soir … c’est sublime !!! Notre séjour a été parfait avec tous les conseils et bonnes adresses de notre hôte. Nous recommandons vivement cette location très bien équipée pour visiter La péninsule de La Canée et ses environs

Traumhafter Aufenthalt!

Die Wohnung entspricht genau den Bildern, wobei der Blick von der Terrasse alle Erwartungen übertroffen hat. Einfach traumhaft! Alexandra ist eine super Gastgeberin.

SPLENDID PERCH ABOVE MARATHI AND EXPECTATIONS!

Gardenia Garden House was easy to find, and we had several advance communications with the cordial owner, who met us at the gate of the property, which contained several buildings. The owner gave us a tour of the property and also pointed out that the vegetable garden and all the herbs were available for guests. This was definitely one of the most welcome amenities. The location, grounds, villa interior all far exceeded our expectations, and we were completely delighted with everything. Frankly, it was only after two or three days that we even noticed there was no TV. The entire villa was spotless and well equipped, even had a washer (we did not use), drying rack, beach lounges, even beach towels. We particularly loved all the varieties of lavender, rosemary, purslane plus the grape and other tomatoes which were plentiful, eggplants and a seemingly endless variety of edibles. Inside, the bed was quite comfortable, there was a huge amount of storage space for suitcases and clothing, shoes, etc. Bathroom was large and bright and spotless. The kitchen wonderfully equipped, although we never cooked there, for making Greek salads from local green grocer's produce supplemented by the wonderful garden's many offerings, we ate well and at home some nights with luscious salads. We had an ideal work location with an amazing view of the Bay of Souda. We were able to watch the moon come up every night both from inside the villa and the gorgeous patio, replete with glider, sofa, table and pillows. I cannot imagine anything more that could have further enhanced our stay and would very highly recommend Gardenia Harden House as a high value and strategically located property offering everything guests could possibly require.

Es hat wirklich alles gestimmt; Lage , Ausblick, Sauberkeit, Grösse, Qualität der Betten . So eine freidliche und schöne Aussicht auf das Meer von der Terasse deer Wohnung gibt es selten. Die Vermieterin ist ebenfalls äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit und erfüllt jeden Wiunsch. Gerne immer wieder!

Diese Terrasse ist einen Besuch auf jeden Fall wert!

Uns wurden vor der Reise sehr viele Informationen zur Verfügung gestellt und die Wohnung ist ein Traum. Alexandra ist ein super Gastgeber und steht jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung. Ich möchte die Wohnung und Alexandra uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Traumhaft

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in dem Ferienhaus. Man hat einen traumhaften Blick auf das Meer. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet, es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Alexandra ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin und war immer für uns da. Zum Frühstück gab es jeden Tag Feigen aus dem Garten. Gemüse gab es aus dem Garten. Das war bestimmt nicht unser letzter Urlaub bei Alexandra.

Relaxing spot, very nice views

Our stay at Alexandras place met all of our expectations. The house has everything you need, the terrace is perfect to relax and just enjoy the view. It also quite wind protected which is very good on windy days. Location is very good to explore Chania and all of West Crete. Communication was very smooth and on spot, Elsa welcomed us warmly and gave us good hints. Highly recommended!

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The accommodation is exactly as described, its very clean, comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need if you should decide to cook. The view is even better than described! Looking out over the bay is spectacular and changes all the time depending on the time of day. Really lovely. Alexandra is an excellent host and provided a wealth of information for us. All restaurant recommendations were excellent. Marathi Beach less than 5 minutes away was lovely, with several nice tavernas. The beach is well maintained and the water is beautiful. The accommodation is a short drive from Chania so very well positioned. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone and hope to return next year. Would also recommend a trip to the Botanical Gardens only 45 minutes away and well worth it.

Nous avons passé 2 semaines très agréables dans la maison d'Alexandra , la vue depuis la terrasse et de toutes les fenêtres de la maison est époustouflante , la maison est parfaitement équipée et très agréable , la terrasse est très bien aménagée et sous des oliviers; elle a une vue spectaculaire sur la baie de Souda dont on ne se lasse pas. La maison est très bien située à l'écart pour la tranquillité mais très proche de La Canée et de son aéroport ainsi que de la jolie plage de Marathi. C'est idéal pour rayonner sur tout l'ouest de la Crete . Nous avons été ravis de ces 2 semaines et remercions notre hôte pour sa gentillesse
