Round Lake Family Cottage, near Bonnechere, Foy and Algonquin Provincial Parks

Cottage bookings are Friday to Friday in July and August with 2 day bookings in the spring and fall. Cottage has 2 bedrooms that sleeps 7 and one 3 piece bathroom. Includes, with no additional fees a 16 ft canoe, two sea kayaks, a junior kayak, standup paddle board, life jackets, hammock, dock, boat mooring anchor, 3 bicycle's, BBQ and propane, bonfire pit with wood, chairs, pick nick table and games room with ping pong and darts, etc.
One bedroom with a queen bed and second in a large long room with three double beds and a upper twin bunk bed. Living room has an excellent view of the lake with air tight wood stove on a stone hearth, electric base board heat throughout.
Games room is in one bay of the garage.
The west side of the lake is usually calm with prevailing westerly winds blowing off shore, great paddling since located in the bay between the Bonnechere and Sherwood rivers.

Amazing place

We had a wonderful stay at cottage. The cottage is beautiful and we enjoyed cooking in their well equipped kitchen. The lake view is wonderful. We would love to return another year.

Relaxing weekend getaway

Beautiful lake and pine tress

It was a relaxing stay at Silent Pines. We enjoyed swimming as the water was nice and clear and the bottom sandy. Nice variety of water craft available for use.

Beautiful place

This cottage was perfect for our family. The cottage and yard are very tidy with plenty of space and comfortable furnishings. Our boys had a great time swimming in the lake and we all enjoyed the games room in the evening.

Beautiful & Breathtaking

It was a breathtaking place with everything you need. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the provincial park. There were so many fun things for the kids to do. The games room was a real hit! The beach is very kid friendly and it was an added bonus to get out on the kayak! Highly recommed this place.

Great vacation!

We had a great time relaxing at Neil's cottage. The property has all main necessary that a family will need to use for a vacation. We enjoyed the amazing Round lake, had fun using all swimming gears provided and played basketball and ping-pong when the weather wasn't good for swimming. We will definitely come back.

Great place on rhe lake

Perfect final few days of a trip to Ontario. We loved the game room and the fire pit. The swimming area is perfect. The dock amd screened in porch were also great. Neil was very helpful. The checkin process was effortless. Really a great stay. Thank you, Neil!

Great family getaway

Great cabin with everything you need. Bonus game room a plus for rainy days. Waterfront was amazing. Close proximity to bonnechere provincial park. Host checked in to make sure everything was good for our stay. Would definitely return

Beautiful location

Thanks Neil for everything! Awesome cottage with everything you need. Perfect for swimming.....sandy bottom, shallow and gradually gets deeper. Quiet and relaxing. Definitely a spot we would want to go back.

Wonderful Weekend at Silent Pines!

The photos of the cottage don’t do it nearly enough justice!! This place is an amazing oasis on Round Lake. There are pine trees shading the cottage and property, making it feel ensconced within nature. The water was so clear and shallow - we could walk way out before having to swim. The fire pit had been set up with wood for our first fire - and it lit immediately, what an exquisite detail. This place is so cozy, but more spacious than you might expect. Lots of room for people to sleep and spaces to spend quality time with friends & family. Having access to kayaks, paddle boards, floaties, and all the other outdoor gear in the shed was incredible and provided so many opportunities for activities. As well the additional fridge in the games room was perfect as a drinks fridge. The kitchen was very well equipped and it felt like being at home. Neil was a fantastic host and provided a tour around the property shortly after we arrived so we felt comfortable in the space and everything that it had to offer. I cannot say enough good things about this place - we absolutely loved our weekend here and would come back again!!

Perfect Family Getaway

After many, many years of renting cottages, I would say that there is nothing more that you could want in a cottage rental. This property ticks all of the boxes - close to the water, fantastic firepit, nice sandy bottom, shallow entry for kids, lots of water toys and games and screened in area. It's also a quick walk into Bonnechere Provincial Park. Such a fantastic week! We'll definitely be back.

Excellant family cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Round Lake! The waterfront and lake are beautiful, and the sandy bottom goes out a long way so you can leisurely relax or play a variety of watersports. The screened in porch at the waters edge is a wonderful place to read a book and reflect on those gorgeous morning sun rises over the lake. On any rainy day, the garage games room is great as well (ping pong table, dart board and crocono). Plus there is an extra beer/food fridge in the garage as well. Grocery staples are just a 6 min walk at the local store. Plenty of firewood for the waterfront firepit as well. Great location, and great host.

Perfect cottage experience. Beautful lake.

We spent a week at Silent Pines and everyone really enjoyed it. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed and more. The lake was very nice, with soft sand bottom that stays fairly shallow which is great for the kids. No shortage of things to do should you leave the property. Neil is a great host. We're already trying to figure out when we can get back!

Excellent stay

The cottage has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The location is great, with lots to do around the area. The water access is excellent for kids with a nice sandy lake bottom and slow gradual depth increase. Highly recommended.

Had a great time!

Neils cottage was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The property was beautiful and there was many things to do. The water access was perfect for swimming as the beach front was all soft sand. My family and I enjoyed a wonderful canoe ride on the lake. I would definitely recommend and would love to viste again next summer.

Comfortable and relaxing weekend getaway

Neil was very responsive in our communication and since he was out of town the day we arrived, he made sure someone welcomed us and showed us around. He also made sure to meet us briefly before we checked out. The cottage was complete with everything you need for a home, and had lots of things to keep everyone busy. Some things werent on the listing but there was also basketball, darts, corn hole, lots of board games that kept everyone entertained on a rainy day. A general store was just a 3 minute walk, which was very convenient. And the cottage and the location itself was beautiful. We all enjoyed our stay.

Lovely clean cottage packed with amenities, on a beautiful lake.

Neil was there to greet us and talk us through the place. Appointed with good quality fixtures, fittings and pleasant decor. The kitchen was well enough equipped to make meals like at home (I even made fresh pasta and bread). There was plenty of firewood for the campfire pit and the lovely big wood stove in the living room, which kept us toasty on the cool October evenings. The property is right on the water, with a beautiful sandy beach, which you can view right from the cottage living room, or screened-in porch. I would definitely recommend the place and would love to stay again.

What a beautiful cozy cottage sit right beside the lake🤩🏆

The cottage was amazing. Beyond expectations and the pictures of the cottage don't truly show its beauty. The owner was also amazingly helpful with showing us around the cottage and the surrounding area to help us familiarize ourselves with the community. Would highly recommend waking up early in the morning for the sun rise and staying up for the beautiful star lit sky at night. We had took lots of picture,, when the sunset, sunrise, and starlight came. Everything we needed in terms of activities was provided thanks to Neil the owner of the cottage. 10/10 would highly recommend and come back again. 🏆🏆🏆

Everything we needed

The cottage came with everything we needed for our group. The cottage is on a beautiful spot on round lake and the country store is nice and close if you need anything.

Round Lake and it sand beaches are pristine since the lake is the first lake on the Bonnechere River with the water shed coming from Algonquin Park. We are close to 3 provincial parks, Bonnechere at the end of the bay with heritage buildings, events, and walking trails, Foy Park with sand beaches and trails as well as Algonquin Park with Barron River Canyon, Natural Water Slide, and the East Gate Visitor's Center, Logging Museum and many walking trails. If you fish round lake has excellent Bass and Lake Trout plus many nearby lakes with bass, speckle trout, lake trout and pike.
