This off-grid, two bedroom log cabin has a private hiking trail along the top of the Deacon Escarpment leading to your stunning view of Golden Lake. Enjoy exploring, hiking, and canoeing; Cabin Comforts:propane fireplace, fridge/freezer, kitchenware, stove with oven, washroom with composting toilet and vanity with cold running water. Bedrooms each have single over double bunks. The parking area is 600m from your cabin, very steep hill. Free shuttle!

This cabin is completely off-grid for a light footprint camping experience with minimal impact to the escarpment environment!
☆Features of this off-grid cabin include:
-solar fridge/freezer, propane stove and fireplace; propane heater in Bedroom 1.
-composting toilet
-interior and exterior solar lighting -seasonal cold, running water -seasonal solar shower, which you may have to boil water for if there is NO SUN that day, or pack body wipes
-USB charging area
**NO plug-ins for electrical appliances

There is a private deck view of the Bonnechere Valley. The forest and ponds of the escarpment provide wildlife viewing year round especially in the winter for the whitetail deer migration. Don't forget your camera!

☆Items to pack:
-Bedding, including sheets and pillows~unless purchasing the Couple's or Bedding Packages
-seasonal hiking footwear; trails have muddy areas.
-Body wipes (for those not wanting to shower outside in cooler temperatures)!
-Light coloured, long sleeve shirt and pants and/or insect repellent (June & July are peek bug months)
-extra drinking water and back pack
-flashlights

The cabin is at its own private location on the property. Campers enjoy access to a escarpment picnic area which is breathtaking for autumn leaf viewing, as well as marked hiking/snowshoeing trails including a trail that leads to a small lake with canoes reserved for cabin quests! Bring a field guide along on a hike to help you identify plants and wildlife--available in your cabin. Available to rent: snowshoes, ice hut.
