Rooney Ridge Retreat is a beautifully furnished new construction 4 bedroom Tahoe vacation rental home located in the quiet Cedar Flat neighborhood on the picturesque North Shore of Lake Tahoe. South facing for ample sunshine, this home enjoys lovely tree filtered views of the azure waters of Lake Tahoe.

The spacious great room with lake view features plenty of seating, and a flat screen television above the gas fireplace. The gourmet kitchen is spacious with an open plan with the sitting and dining area, and offers granite counter tops and new stainless appliances, including a large six burner range. The 20 foot dining table is perfect for larger gatherings, and can accommodate up to ten guests.

Downstairs, the game room (perfect for kids), offers another large television, two more sofas and a ping pong table. All four bedrooms have quality linens and new beds, so everybody gets to rest in comfort after a day of enjoying the myriad of outdoor activities Lake Tahoe has on offer year round.

Perfect for our Extended Family of 8

House layout was perfect for our group of 8. Younger folks had the bonus room to hang out and "older" folks had the upstairs. Lots of windows and natural light and with Tahoe's weather easy to keep the house at a comfy temp in the summer. We'd stay here again but a couple of items to note--the road and the driveway are steep, it would be interesting to navigate in icy conditions. We had a van so had to back up the driveway and make a sharp turn to exit it. Not a big deal in the summer, more of an inconvenience, so I'm sharing for other folks that may be bringing vans or vehicles >18 feet long. A small cosmetic item is the coffee maker has seen better days but other than that well-equipped rental house. And finally the location is good but a little drive to the public beaches. We knew this of course ahead of time but contrasting to other rentals that were walking distance to lake.

There are definitely bears in the area so make sure to leave windows closed when leaving the house.

Lovely cabin stay

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying here. The space was clean and beautifully decorated. The amenities provided were top-notch. My kids enjoyed it. We had a great time. Thanks.

Rooney Ridge- a bit sad

It was great to be with family but the customer service from Tahoe getaways was not good. They DO NOT get back to you when you have questions. The deck railing was loose and that’s a bit frightening as it’s a big drop down. House needs a good check over for sprucing itself back up. Left an item there and Tahoe getaways never got back to us. They have too many properties, they said.

Nice but not as nice as I thought it would be

The location is great. There are LOTS of stairs so if you want a good workout, it's great but bringing in suitcases and groceries was not for the faint of heart. At first glance the top floor with kitchen, master and living room with balcony seemed clean but things have a smell of just being used too much. The downstairs carpet is very stained and the pillows on a bed still had makeup on them. For the price I paid per night, I would have expected something nicer. The check in was easy but not sure I'd go through this company again. Their quality control is not up to par.

Feedback

The house was very pleasant and we enjoyed our stay. Just some feedback regarding a few negative this. 1: the dishwasher has a bad smell inside of it 2: the master bed is very squeaky 3: turn up the head on the water heater. There were 5 of us staying and there is only enough hot water for about 15 minutes meaning only about 3 of us could rush through a shower before the hot water started getting cold. 4: the railing on the deck off the living room is loose to the point where we were nervous letting our kids play near or lean on the railing of the deck. 5: the floors in the ping pong room and hallway to the bedrooms are extremely squeaky.

Family celebration

This is the first time of renting a home (which has been many) in Tahoe that delivered exactly how it was portrayed. The house and location were perfect. We had an amazing weekend celebrating our sons birthday

Treehouse Oasis

Rooney Ridge is a beautiful, relaxing house. Great open plan, family friendly spaces with all the amenities you need. Every vacation home needs a ping pong table! And the master bath is dreamy. We would have given it 5 stars if it only had a hot tub, less obstructed view of the lake, and air conditioning/air purifiers. We got hit pretty hard with the smoke from the Dixie fire and it got tough being in a hot cabin with the windows closed. The smoke from fires in the summer may sadly be the new normal in Tahoe, so vacation homes will have to provide AC with air purification. But thumbs up to the rental team for preparing make-shift air purifiers for us!! We'll be back to Rooney Ridge.

Wonderful Home for a Great Vacation

Our family of five adults enjoyed this home so much! Plenty of room in the kitchen and upstairs gathering area to eat, drink, play games and be merry. The additional game/tv room was another place to have some wonderful family fun. The bedrooms were all beautiful and comfortable and the master suite and bath were divine. Lovely neighborhood and we could see the lake from the deck. Would recommend!

Staff at the agency were very helpful, as the refrigerator was not working when we arrived. The house is reflective of the website and very comfortable and clean.

Peaceful stay

Our stay at Rooney Ridge was a peaceful and relaxing time. The house was marketed as an executive retreat but we were never able to connect to the wifi and when we called the management office for help they were less than enthusiastic. Wifi can be temperamental but a few of us had a couple of days to work before shutting down for the weekend and wifi was an important criteria when looking for a rental. We were never able to get it working after spending 1/2 a day trying unsuccessfully to get it up and running. The refrigerator was a rental or replacement and was quite small for the house size and looked out of place in a gourmet kitchen. The ice maker was not working in the rental refrigerator. The mattresses were all quite lumpy. The master suite needs a refresh with bed linens & pillows, bathroom towels and a comfortable seat (ie chair and ottoman or chaise) to relax and escape from the group for a few minutes. The nightly rate did not represent the quality of amenities in the home. I'm ok giving a 4 star because the location and ease of renting was a good experience but the home needs a little refresh.

Beautiful place!

This is a beautiful house, which made for a wonderful full-week vacation with our family of 7. We had everything we needed. We were impressed with how well the owners take care of this place. I highly recommend this very nice house!

Amazing relaxing retreat.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was luxurious and had all the amenities we needed. It was close to so many beautiful places and to the activities we were interested in. The only negative was the steep driveway both up the road to the area and the driveway to the home. Not a problem in summer but I wouldn’t want to have to drive them in winter with snow. Overall we lived this house and hope to stay again.
