Family and dog friendly beach cottage w/pool & grill in quaint seaside village

***Just a note*** We only accept well-behaved, non-aggressive breeds. There is an additional Pet Fee, which you will be prompted to add when you book. Sorry, no cats.

This is not your typical rental with hand-me-down everything. From the moment you walk in, you will feel at home in this cozy beach cottage. This lavishly redone home has a spacious master suite with jetted tub and stall shower, plus sliding doors to the heated pool. A privacy fence surrounds the pool with landscape lighting that makes you feel like you're at a 5 star resort. The master has a quiet sitting area for reading and a dressing table. Relax in the large living room with wide-screen TV and electric fireplace (no mess, just ambience!), or hang out in the pool surround with your morning java & paper. The roomy second bedroom has its own private bath with tub shower. There is also a TV as well. Both bedrooms have high end bed linens. Our small office has a desk, wi-fi, and a 3 in 1 printer. Coming soon: a TV & chairs. The kitchen has the latest appliances (induction stove & convection microwave) and is well equipped for those who like to cook. Don't care to cook? There is a plethora of fabulous restaurants just three short blocks from your door. The screened lanai has lounging chairs, a dining table and a grill, plus lots of pool toys for kids & adults alike. Our front porch features a small seating area for two, plus a bistro table under the trees for al fresco dining. Our laundry room is equipped with new washer/dryer, iron & board. A quiet, safe getaway perfect for a couple or family where you can walk or bike to everything you need.

Such a nice home! Gulfport is still recovering from the hurricanes and the owners have worked hard to restore their property and have done beautiful updates to create a modern and homey feeling in the cottage! Great location, great communication with the owner, comfortable beds and modern amenities.

Super cute cottage great location

The pictures online were very nice but once you see the house in person it is absolutely beautiful. Close to shops, restaurants, marinas on a quiet street. Highly recommend this property!

Fabulous stay again this year!!!

My husband and I bring our 3 small dog-children here to totally rekax and see my friends. I lived in St. Pete for 15 years. It's good to come "home" and see my friends. Hubby and I totally relax, unwind, and spend quality time together. Our children know this place now. They get as excited as we do upon arival°

Family Vacation in Florida

We visited Florida for the first time and found this juwel for our stay in St.Petersburg on the Gulf of Mexico. The object is exactly as described in the text and on the pictures. Very clean and very spacey for 4 adult people. We have used the location for our day time trips in the middle of Florida, be it beach, Disney World or the surrounding beaches at the Gulf. For relaxing you can use the big private pool or just walk to the nearby beach down the street. We will definitely come back in one of our upcoming holidays. Thanks a lot to the host as well, who was always very quick and responsive on our questions. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Beautiful quaint cottage by the water

This little gem blew us away, a few minutes walk down the lovely brick road to the water, 2 short blocks away from an array of cafes, restaurants and shops. (Shout out to the tiki bar on 56th and shore, best key lime pie I’ve ever had!) The cottage itself was super clean, lots of kitchen utensils and a fancy Keurig machine for morning coffee ☕️ Plenty of beach towels, beach chairs and a beach caddy/buggy - super handy! Lovely comfortable HUGE bed. The cottage was easy to find, easy to access and Lysa (the owner) was great, checking in with us via VRBO to make sure we were happy and everything was ok. We loved the artsy vibe of Gulfport too and will be coming back! Hopefully the cottage is available when we do!

Loved it!

This is my 2nd time staying at Lysa's home. Very comfortable and nice home. Pool was perfect, . Neighborhood nice and safe. My little furry baby loved the dog bed. Gulfport town very friendly and dog friendly too. Easy access to other locations. Walkable to all restaurants in town and beach. Thanks Lysa for hosting us and hope to be back next time.

You will enjoy every minute here!

This was our second trip. We won't stay anywhere else. Extra clean and comfy. Feels like you are at home. Location is very convenient to numerous beaches, restaurants, shopping, etc yet located in a very quiet neighborhood off the main drag. The property manager is really accessible and accommodating. There was an unexpected snafu with the air conditioner. She had a service man there ASAP (it was after hours). She then say she would put us up in a hotel for the nite until the problem was resolved! We will definately be returning!

Nice place

The house is well kept and we found it very comfortable. The owners checked in periodically and were very responsive to any questions. The location is wonderful. The area is very quiet with shops and restaurants just a couple blocks away. We would stay at this house again.

Clean, Quiet, and Lovely

We loved this house. Everything was very luxe, clean, and all the amenities were there. The living room had a very nice seating area for my whole family, a large TV that we used all week, and it was the perfect central location. The kitchen had tons of appliances, and it even had a hot water spout. The fridge was very nice, and we loved the crushed ice maker. The dining room had a nice view of the pool, and a great table for family dinners. Off the dining room was another bathroom and the laundry room, which my family loved. The bedrooms were also very nice. We loved the king bed, and the giant bathroom. The bidet was a very fun addition. We never even got around to using the bath, but I'm sure it was very nice. The pool is next level. My family spent basically the whole vacation in the it. I'm jealous we don't have our own pool at home! The town close to the house is very funky, and Stella's is absolutely delicious! We went back twice on our stay! The grocery stores are very close to the house as well. The owner is easily accessible and kind. Overall, I would highly recommend this house if you want to be close to quiet neighbors, a cool town, and a small beach.

Disappointing

We got to the property and found that the pool was not circulating. It was not working as it should as stated in the book of explanations and we decided to come home a week early and forfeit the money for the second week. The post and rail on the front porch was broken, most of the cabinets in the kitchen were full of their condiments and food items and left very little room for items we might have wanted to purchase and store while we were there. There was partial bags of chips (3)in one cabinet. Evidently the property manager did not inspect the house after each renter left the house before next renter. House is very cluttered and had a lot of the managers personal items in the different rooms. Condition of the couch and love seat is terrible. Television was set up on a personal setting where you couldn't get local channels.Just a place that i would not want to rent again

Great place to stay

The cottage was everything we hope for, very clean beautifully decorated very cozy, in walking distance of downtown Gulfport Restaurants and the Beach and Pier!! Love the pool and the outdoor enclosure!! Really felt like home!! Would definitely book again!! Lysa was very accessible if you had any questions!! Great Trip!!

The perfect vacation home!

This well-decorated, well-equipped, cozy, comfortable home was the perfect vacation get-a-way! We have stayed at about a dozen homes through vrbo and others and this one was, by far, the best!! The king bed was incredibly comfortable, the jacuzzi welcoming, and the bidet, amazing...once you get used to it! ;) The kitchen had everything we needed and the pool was cool and clean. There were chairs, an umbrella and a wagon for the beach, too! Unfortunately, we didnt get to stay as long as we had liked due to a mandatory hurricane evac, but the owners were very informative and and helpful during the process. We will definitely recommend this place to others and may one day hipefully get back to Florida to stay there again!

Gulfport Cottage

This was the nicest vacation rental I have booked with VRBO. Beautiful fenced in pool area with a tropical feel. House had everything we needed. Close to great restaurants and activities. Quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Perfectly Cozy!

The moment we stepped through the front door, we felt at home. The house is gorgeous while still remaining comfortable, with amazing attention to detail. You can feel the love that went into this property, as it truly feels like a home. There is every amenity that you'd ever need and then some. The beds are so very comfortable and the extra little office space with the small sectional provided a perfect little area for our daughter to have her own little nook. We had such a wonderful time as a family in the private pool and outdoor area, eating alfresco and swimming night and day. A couple of days during our stay were too hot to go to the beach as even the ocean was too warm, so the pool provided much needed relief while helping us feel like we didn't lose out on any fun. The cottage is a perfectly cozy little paradise. We absolutely loved it. Our family really looks forward to staying again and again! We already miss it so!

Pool Perfect

Everything about the property was as advertised. House was very comfortable and well equipped. The pool was the selling point for our August visit. So nice to sit around in the morning and take a dip in the evening. The dogs loved the small yard space around the pool and chased lizards until we forced them inside. Lysa was very helpful and easy to communicate with on an issue that arose.

Schönes Stadthäuschen

Die Unterkunft ist genauso wie beschrieben und hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und ist zentral gelegen. Man ist schnell zu Fuß am Strand und der Promenade, so dass das Auto auch gerne mal stehen bleiben kann. Auch der Kontakt zur Eigentümerin war immer sehr freundlich und schnell. Es wurde alles getan, damit wir einen schönen Aufenthalt haben und das hatten wir. Wir haben unsere Zeit in dem Haus genossen und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Excellent home!! VERY CLEAN, beautiful, best location for us, everything we needed and more was supplies. Owners are the nicest people!! We want to return here next year. We enjoyed the spacious home!! (We live in a tiny cottage back home.) We left things to enhance future pet owning tenants.

Wonderful Hidden Gem

I had the pleasure of staying at the Family and Dog Friendly Beach Cottage. The cottage itself was nothing short of fantastic and situated in a quiet and charming neighborhood.The property was thoroughly maintained, while being impeccably clean and reflected on Lysa’s dedication to providing a top-notch experience for her guests. It was evident that great care and attention had been put into every detail. The location of this rental was ideal. It was conveniently just a short walk to the beach as well as various restaurants, shops, and amenities. I also loved that there were bikes available for use. Additionally, I have to compliment the host, Lysa, on her excellent communication throughout the entire booking process and during my stay. Lysa was prompt in responding to my questions and offered helpful suggestions for local restaurants and attractions. Lysa’s genuine care for her guests' comfort and enjoyment truly set this rental apart. Overall, my experience at this VRBO rental was delightful, and I highly recommend it for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. I cannot wait to return to this hidden gem!

Little piece of Paradise!!!

What a wonderful week we had! Our stay here was fantastic! First of all, Lysa, the owner, was a gem! She really went out of her way to make our stay possible and was super easy to get in touch with. She was so sweet!! And the house was just as adorable as the pictures! The accommodations were excellent, everything was comfy, and we felt right at home. The kitchen had everything and then some! And the backyard!!!! I could sit out there every single day! LOVED the pool area and all the palm trees surrounding the pool. So private, tropical, and inviting!! Our girls really had a blast in the pool and swam in it almost every day. It was a bit on the chilly side for me, but kids never seem to notice. Daddy even jumped in for a swim several times! The beds were super comfy and I even came home and tried to find a blanket online like the ones on both the beds (lightweight down, I think?) because I enjoyed it so much! Location was great, also! Short walk to the bay for some Halloween festivities and also for lots of cute shops and restaurants. And then an easy drive to multiple beautiful beach areas on the gulf. We were never in the car more than 20 or 30 minutes! The beaches were all great and we spent lots of time there, also. We even got to enjoy Halloween trick or treating around the neighborhood, since we happened to be there for that. So much fun! And being from up north, we had never been able to trick or treat in flip flops before!! Fantastic place to stay!! So grateful for an awesome vacation!

Beautiful Cottage

This cottage made for a very relaxing vacation! The neighborhood was great! Everything was within walking distance. The cottage was extremely clean and had everything you could need. Only wished we could have stayed longer! We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it!

This sweet little cottage in a lovely quiet neighborhood is beautifully appointed, yet you can walk a block to the beach or 3 blocks to restaurants, pubs, and shops. EVERYTHING in Gulfport is a short walk away. Take a yoga class, get a massage, have your nails done, get your dog groomed, pick out a book at the library, have lunch on the beach, take a salsa lesson, ride your bike to the market, fish off the pier or just plain relax by our pool and read a book. You CAN have it all:)

We are located in the coveted Arts District of Gulfport. Our neighborhood has brick streets with shading tree canopies. Our neighbors are super nice and will probably greet you as you stroll by. The beach is a 5 min. walk and we provide beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, plus a beach wagon to haul your equipment. Boat, kayak, and jet ski rentals are also close by. Bus transportation within 2 blocks to beaches and cities of St. Petersburg, Tampa & Sarasota.
