7br 5bath Penthouse Condo @ Sonoran Sun sleeps 16

Sonoran Sun W908 Penthouse. Condo has 7 bedrooms. FIVE are full bedrooms with ocean views, three of which are private casitas with separate access to the large balcony. There are TWO bonus rooms with bunkbeds which are better equipped for children or young adults - one is it's own room and the other is attached to one of the casita bedrooms. The balcony/deck alone is over 2000sf and over a hundred feet long. This is one of the very few condos in the resort that has an entire built-in grill & bar area on the balcony. There are 2 kitchens, 3 refrigerators, and a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. The resort boasts a full gym, two pools (one heated) with a swim up bar and two spas.

Another bonus that may be overlooked. This condo is in the official Sonoran Sun RENTAL POOL. This means that if you book through us you will also be approved by the resort and have confidence in the security of your vacation reservation. USE CAUTION WHEN RENTING FROM CONDO OWNERS WHO RENT OUTSIDE OF THE APPROVED RENTAL POOL. Since our condo is in the rental pool - you are able to check in at the front desk and get your wristbands in order to use the resort common areas. If you have any problems or need services such as a burnt out light bulb, broken air conditioning, empty propane tank, out of toilet paper, plumbing leak, etc. - you are able to go down to the front desk and seek assistance, rather than having to call the owner or a third party rental agent to take care of your immediate needs.

Family vacay 2024

It had a lot of rooms, very spacious loved the view from the balcony. Really liked that our kids had their own space to sleep and had an amazing time going down to swimming pools and have a few drinks by the pool bar. Best of all was that there wasn't a lot of stairs to be walked down to beach and relax.

Repeat stay

This is the second year in a row that our group has rented this property and it wonā€™t be the last. Fantastic location and an amazing space for our group of friends. Wonderful communication from the owner. Very highly recommended.

Perfect place for s large/extended family

Great condo! Great view, Fantastic patio. We hosted a dinner for about 40 people on the patio.. Great place for the adult kids to hang out, sitting around the fire pit. I don't give it 5 stars because the condo needs a facelift and the pot & pans were awful. I do recommend u pack a couple good pans to cook on.

Relaxing ladies weekend

This property is amazing. Very well furnished and decorated. An amazing balcony, with gorgeous view and lots of different seating areas to enjoy. Bill was always quick to respond and answer any questions I had about the amenities or any problems. The pictures do no justice because there are new appliances throughout. This will definitely be our go-to place for ladies Bible study weekend.

Way better than expected

The pictures do this condo no justice! I went with a group of 11 adults and everyone loved it. We were all blown away at how nice, clean and big it was. The resort was perfect. They have a huge pool, jacuzzi and beautiful beach. 4 of us got massages and all agreed they were the best massages we have ever had in our lives at the spa downstairs. We all want to make this condo a yearly thing. The owner was amazing to work with. She responded quickly and gave us great trip advice. As most of us have never been to this part of Mexico. We literally had the best vacation here. We can't wait to go back

We were looking forward to BBQ and fire pit both did not work. Stove is in bad shape 1 burner didnā€™t work at all others would not stay flat. Showers had issues couldnā€™t adjust temps. Looks real nice though

Beautiful penthouse with breath taking views you wont be dissapointed !!!!!

The place is amazing, very roomy, allowing all your guest to have thier own private room. Our family had a wonderful time. The view is absolutley gorgeous. The pool has a family side aswell as an adult side. The beach is just steps away. I loved how close we are to the elevator and the walk way down to the pool/beach. There is also a little store on-site that has a lot of great items from laundry soap to snacks frozen snacks, ice etc. We brought canopies, set up on the beach and were able to leave it up all weekend with our chairs. However, there were a few small issues, nothing that would make us not to want to come back. We plan to reserve again for 2026 ! We were disspointed with room #6 not having the sofa sleeper as shown in pictures as well as the layout (Only because of the families that were assigned to each room based on the # of beds.) The cleaning could have been a little more detailed. Room #2 bathroom toilet was filled with blood around the top edge of the toilet, in room #5 there were crumbs/sand in the larger bed. The sheets in room #4 & #5 had stains on them. There were not enough towels for all 16 of us ( (I had read that in a previous review and spaced bringing extra.) When I went down to request more towels, I was told the resort doesn't carry extra of anything and we needed to wash, as they provide small baggies of soap to wash with. Room#7 was hot, not as cool as the other rooms at night. BR #2 also didn't have warm/hot water to shower.
We had fun burying my nephew in the sand.

Great place to stay for large families, groups!

The condo was great. It had plenty of space. The inside is a little outdated, & could use more lights in the main family room area, but overall was a great place for our large party. The patio was spacious, plenty of seating & the view was gorgeous! The bedrooms were good sized. I loved that everyone had a bathroom. A must! Beds & pillows were fantastic, we all slept great! The resort itself is beautiful & itā€™s so close to the sand. Our kids loved swimming in the heated pool & hot tub. Access to the beach was easy. We brought our own beach chairs & beach towels but the resort offers small shaded structures just below the property line. We stayed during spring break, which we thought would be very crowded, but it turned out to be just right. It was a great time to come. A highlight was enjoying pina coladas & mangoes on the beach! Lastly, Bill was great to work with. We had a difficult situation come up before our trip & Billā€™s communication was very helpful. He worked with us so we could continue our vacation plans. Overall, we loved our stay & canā€™t wait to come back!

Family / Graduation Trup

Depending the amount of guest are in your group it is best if you bring extra towels. We booked this condo for our sons graduation trip with family and friends. This accommodated everyone and for them to be comfortable. The view was beautiful. The grill was a bonus for the amount of people we had to feed as we did use it a few times. The rooms were very spacious except the bunk bed room. (that is perfect for little ones) When you walk in the view alone is perfect. The table in the living room is a good size for adults to dine as we had the kids all dine outside. The living room had plenty of sitting space. The kitchen is stocked with all that you need. The patio has plenty of sitting space. Room 7 is a perfect room for anyone that loves to have a little privacy and space to themselves. The second area was great for the teens. They enjoyed their rooms and that they had their own living room area. The kitchen was great for us to stock for them with food and snacks. Hoping to book this condo again for our next trip. Thank you for welcoming us into your home away from home.

Relaxing vacation

My family and I enjoy our trip. The only thing I can advise is that bring your own towels for they only provide 2 towels every room and house keeping doesnā€™t replace a new towel everyday even you ask for a replacement. They said we can wash our own towels by ourselves using their washer and dryer. And problem with squeaky doors in some rooms. And some rooms temperature were so warm in 2 rooms and the living. And 2 electric stove burners are not working. But other than that we enjoyed our stay. This is our second time staying in this same condo. At first last memorial was just with my family and this second time with my family and some friends. Itā€™s a great place to stay and highly recommend it! And Iā€™m hoping that on the next time we book this place that these issues will be fixed. Thank you

Fantastic host, perfect location, everything we needed!

We stayed at this property at the end of April through beginning of May 2022. There were 12 people in our group and this condo was the perfect fit. Not only did it accommodate our large group and provide us with everything we needed, of all the properties we looked at this was the only one that of its size and amenities that placed us right on Sandy Beach. Although not ultra-luxurious and a touch older than other units we browsed, it was clean, cozy, safe (this unit is in the rental pool which grants guests-only access to all the hotel's amenities with specials wristbands), well located on a fantastic section of beach and fully stocked. If you can think of it, this condo probably has it already! One of our favorite highlights was Sonoran Sun's fantastic swim up bar and bartending staff. Fun drinks, energetic staff and really good food kept us happy all day long when we weren't at the beach. The host Tammie was absolutely amazing. She was in consistent contact with us leading up to our stay and helped us prepare for this once-in-a lifetime family gathering. Two months later and I miss this place. We are already looking for reasons to get down there again. Thanks for the memories!

Penthouse at Sonoran Sun

The location on Sandy Beach is fantastic and itā€™s a very good size unit that can accommodate a very large group. The unit is in serious need of updating though. One of the sliding glass doors had a huge crack in it and actually had tape on it. A lot of wear and tear on this unit and not quite what we expected for that price.

Friends and Family trip

We had a wonderful time staying at this property ,this was our second time staying in this particular unit . We had a group of 11 people and plenty of space , everything was clean . We brought people with us that had never been to Rocky Point so we got to show them around and they really enjoyed their stay. We really love staying at Sonoran Sun it is one of our favorite resorts .

Great Location!

There were 14 of us....we had plenty of room and really enjoyed the penthouse unit. the owners notes once you confirm your reservation were spot on. Definitely bring extra trash bags if you are a large group. Would most definitely stay in this unit again.

Amazing Penthouse with views for miles!

I rented this penthouse to host my 60th birthday party. We were a big group of adults & this penthouse was perfect. The huge deck/patio allowed us to spend each evening outdoors. We used the grill & counter for dinner & the extra fridge outdoors was perfect for drinks. Would definitely recommend for family reunions & adult getaways
