Beautiful Country Retreat Perfect for Fishermen or A Peaceful Family Vacation

This family-friendly home has 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, a large family room, a fully stocked kitchen, wifi, laundry room, carport, and ample parking space for boat trailers. Wheeler Lake's Anderson Creek public boat launch area is 1 mile from the home and Elk River's boat launch area is less than 3 miles away. The lake is a premier fishing destination in the US, hosting many national tournaments. Guests may also fish from the bank and swim in the lake. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has two twins, and there is one queen in the third bedroom. Altogether, the home sleeps 5 people comfortably. All linens are provided. The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer for added convenience. The house has central heat and air conditioning and beautifully refinished hardwood floors throughout the family room and bedrooms. Flatscreen TVs and DVD players are in the family room as well as the master bedroom. Each room is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen has a large table that seats 5, refrigerator, range, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, and all utensils and dishes guests will need. There is also a full cookware set. A large charcoal grill is outside and charcoal is provided. Joe Wheeler State Park is only 7 miles from the house. There, guests may rent pontoon or fishing boats, as well as enjoy a beautifully maintained 18 hole golf course, play tennis, bike, or hike the trails. Quaint downtown Rogersville offers many shops and restaurants. This is the perfect place for a restful, country getaway and we have the perfect home in which to spend your next vacation!

Old Timey Getaway

This is a lovely property out in the country and is well represented in the pictures and description. Reasonably priced but has a lot of fees attached which makes it less attractive for just a 2 day stay. A nice place to allow pets to stay and we enjoyed the cows!

Great Disconnected Spot!

If you want to feel disconnected from your busy life and enjoy walking barefoot on the grass and just feeling at home, this place is for you! Lovely cows came to visit us every day, we enjoyed the birds and the quiet. We had little cell service and LOVED that! Owner js amazing to talk to and easy to get along with. They go over and beyond to make you feel right at home šŸ™‚ Recommend!!!!

quaint home that was perfect! All anneminities made feeling of staying at a relatives home and not a rental.very clear on line of stay, directions, entry and responsive to txt. A notebook full of info/pamphlets on local business on coffee table. VERY helpful! We were there for fishing and it was close to wheeler Park and few other fishing spots. We brought items to grill (foodland grocery near by) but we ate out. Ordered pizza hut (pickup) and employees were super nice. We brought our dog and everyone was cool if we asked to sit outside with us. Stopped at a gas station when we first git off I65 they invited him in and had treats! Super hospitable. ate outside at Fat Cats(good place to eat)and girls loved on him. Most places start closing 8. Rogersville and the Sullivan's, thank you, we will be back!

Peaceful Alabama getaway

This was the perfect rental for our family of 3 + 1 small dog. Very clean and very peaceful. Located in the country, next door to a farm with cows. Exactly what we were looking for! Hope to stay there again in the future!

We were looking for a quiet, affordable place to enjoy the area around Joe Wheeler State Park that would accommodate our family of five (three adult sons). We found it in a pastoral, country setting near Rogersville, AL! It was just a few miles from the State Park and the house itself met all of our needs. Probably our favorite thing was sitting on the front deck in the mornings and evenings. Cecelia and Mike were very attentive to our needs and questions and even came over per our request to take some pictures of our family! Cecilia - I'm sorry I took so long with this :( Being able to stay at your place was an answer to prayer as we were in the process of moving to northern Alabama. We, especially the dogs, loved your place. It was the perfect combination of peace and tranquility in a beautiful country setting. Great Stay!

Great little, older house beside a farm with horses and cows. We are a family of 5 and stayed because of a fishing tournament for our son, so we were in and out a good amount. Perfect size and floor plan for us! Kitchen was a great size and I was able to cook and entertain for others in our group. Plenty of counter space, which was awesome! And plenty of seating in the family room for guests. Hosts were in contact the perfect amount and are extremely friendly! My younger kids thoroughly enjoyed petting and feeding (with hosts permission) the horses! It was a great stay and accurately advertised! If we ever go back, we will definitely stay here again!

The Niciest Renters Ever

I can't say enough about the hospitality of Michael and Cecilia. We have some mechanical issues with our truck and they were so kind with offering their help and another nights stay if we needed it. The house was adorable. We would definitely stay again for years to come.

FANTASTIC, QUIET, CLEAN

If you are looking for a quiet country vacation this is the place to go. Everything provided for your stay. I love to cook and we did some entertaining (have friends and family in the area) everything there to cook with. 3 bedrooms very nice sizes. Washer/dryer in utility room outside. The owners kept in touch with us and answered any questions within a short period of time. Could not have asked for a better place - we will be back. Close to a river and also a quaint little town. Great places to eat - antique shops - Public Library if you need a computer or printer. We would HIGHLY suggest this location for your family vacation. Large yard for kids to play in - farm next door - quiet quiet. We are from Pittsburgh Pa area

Peaceful but not ideal

This rental was very clean, in a peaceful country setting. It was well furnished and the owners were very responsive. We did find it difficult to maneuver the boat in the driveway and the television reception was terrible. It was convenient to the state park and local boat ramps. The grass was not cut when we first arrived but it was done a few days later. No internet, poor TV reception and uncomfortable beds are why I am not rating this rental higher.
