This house is a very comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bath waterfront property. It has a large bed swing and TV on a screened in porch that allows for beautiful evenings watching the sun go down. There is plenty of room for additional air mattresses for more than four people. There is Directv and internet in the house. There is also a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board and microwave. The area is well know for crappie, bass and catfish.

Perfect fishing trip

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cabin on the Elk River. The cabin was spotless upon arrival—everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. You can tell the owners take pride in keeping it welcoming and comfortable. The peacefulness of the location was exactly what we needed. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying quiet evenings by the water made for a truly relaxing experience. Perfect spot for fishing, unwinding, and getting away from it all. Mark came by to check on us and asked if we needed anything, which was truly thoughtful. We will definitely be back!

Loved the porch

Sitting on the porch in the morning with my coffee, hearing the birds and watching the water was great. The rest of the house was great too.

Great Lake House

Had an excellent time in Oct '24 at Marks lake house. Great views and the home was larger than expected from the photos. Very clean. The kayaks and dock were a great bonus...we had a great time catching fish. Great communication with the owner. Would like to come visit again!

Fiddlers Weekend

The property was great. We travel to Athens yearly for Fiddlers Convention and this property was away enough to be quiet, but convenient to trails, fishing and ASU. The upper deck is perfect for drinking a cup of coffee and watch sunrise or sunset. Do make sure to get managers phone number before arriving. Had to drive several miles to get enough phone signal to look up phone number because of a problem with entry code. Once got in contact, got the problem solved immediately. Clean, quiet, and beautiful view out in the countryside where you can see the stars. GREAT STAY!

Fantastic Property

We stayed over Labor Day weekend, the property was perfect for us. Its much bigger than it looks in the pictures. It has everything you could want to do. Our kids loved l having their own area downstairs. Owner is super quick to respond. It was a great unplug and unwind weekend.

Great place

The house was great with a beautiful view. A really good place to relax away from everything sun rise was amazing. Mark was very nice and made sure we had everything I would greatly recommend this place.

Nice Elk River Getaway

This is a nice waterfront rental that our family really enjoyed, for the 2nd time. Mark is a great host, very friendly and accomodating and he ensured we had everything we needed after we got there. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed and a great deck to view the river from and a waterfront dock to launch the kayaks from or fish. I highly recommend this cabin or his other cabin next door if you want a peaceful getaway. Do be advised that the internet service is very limited due to not anything else available in that rural area, not an issue for us though it was great to unplug for a while. We did have enough cell service to make calls and use our data as needed. Again, highly recommend! We will definitely stay in one of Marks cabins again!

Fantastic cabin and owners

This is by far the best cabinet that we have ever rented. It is very nice and the location is perfect. Very quiet and peaceful. I can’t wait to return here again. I would recommend this to anyone. Absolutely love the screened in deck and boat dock

Great house and view!

We had a great stay here! The water was low, which Mark informed us about before our stay, but we were able to fish and kayak anyway. This is a very comfortable house and Mark went the extra mile to be sure we were able to enjoy it!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

This was the perfect place for a quick weekend getaway. The owner was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed! The weather wasn’t great, but our kids still had a blast. The tornado sirens went off and the owner called to let us know where the tornado was relative to us. That’s great service for people not familiar with the area. We will be back!

Great view on the river and fantastic home.

The home was really nice. Modern with upstairs and downstairs bedrooms. 2-complete bathrooms. Really nice screened in porch. Very quiet and relaxing. Very large dock to hang out on and sun bath, fish off of or read a book. I would highly recommend this home. Mark is a great host.

Nice quiet house on the river for a great price

This house was better than expected. The price was great and the location was even better. The river side of the house was fully in the shade by 4 in the afternoon which makes for some very cool afternoons. Dock was recently redone and a great place to hang out. River was deep enough around the dock to jump in and float around which we did often. Best part of the house was the screened in porch, which we used every morning and afternoon. Mark was a great host. He was very responsive to all our needs. He even took us up river and dropped us off so we could kayak back down to the house! I wish we could have stayed longer than we did and would recommend this house to anybody looking for a getaway on the water.

Beautiful Setting and well maintained.

This property is sitting right on the river with two decks. Enjoyed drinking my coffee and watching the wildlife and the birds. We also sat on the dock in the afternoons. The cabin is well appointed and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, which is always a plus. Mark came by to check on us and made us feel so welcome. We hope to go back again some day. Loved every minute.

Great Waterfront Getaway

Our family of 6 stayed for 3 nights in Mark’s great cabin on the Elk River. The house was well equipped and had plenty of room for all 6 us. Our oldest son with his fiancée visited for the day as well. We all loved the dock to fish and swim from and we especially enjoyed the use of the kayaks, none of us wanted to leave. It was nice having a gas grill there as well. Mark was very prompt and informative when communicating with us and he made our stay easy and relaxing. We highly recommend this waterfront rental and we will be recommending it to our family and friends and will be staying here again in the future, hopefully for much longer next time!

Sisters time

I spend a wonderful time, but way too short, with my four sisters at Mark’s place. We had a great time and our favorite place to chat was on the back porch over looking the water. First thing in the morning and last place at night was that beautiful view, especially with the moon reflecting in the water. I really hope to go back again. Thank you Mark. You are a wonderful host. We were so pleased to meet you. Your history lessons were great! Thanks again.
