While there, we saw from the balconies, the 49er and 49er fx competitions, as well as the participants tryouts with windsurfing.A very active waterfront, including many higher quality dining venues. A wonderful town with open air and coop markets very friendly people.Guissepe made our stay one of welcome and comfort. (made us feel like home)Only downside, was the UPSIDE.... 3 floors up, and then another to go to bed....a well earned rest.Again, our thanks to a wonderful host

The view was spectacular, it was hard to pick our favourite time of the day for taking photos. There was always something happening. It was an easy walk for restaurants and mini marts. We appreciated the washing machine and drying rack, and the apartment had everything we needed. Giuseppe was very responsive and helpful.

Amazing seaview!!! Bellissima vista mare!

We have enjoyed beautifull sea view from terrace, living room and also bedroom and wonderfull days on perfect sandy beach Mondello which we reached by bus. The small town is only few minutes by walk from apartment and we liked it very much, restaurants, bars and also veeery kind people everywhere.

Sferrocavalllo apartment

We had a lovely week. Guiseppe was so helpful - recommending places to visit and explaining how to get around and park. We loved Sicily and this area particularly- it’s very Sicilian -lively but laid back - and the local cafes and restaurants were very friendly. Do be aware that there are a lot of stairs -which didn’t bother us but might some people. I recommend hiring a car - although the driving is a little challenging (!) - as trips to Scopello, Palermo, Cefalu and Mondello were all highlights. We want to come back to Sicily!

We realy enjoy our stay in Guiseppe appartement. The appartement have two very nice terrace with direct view on Sferracavallo port. Access to Palermo is very easy by train.

Overlooking beauty

This apartment is fantastic!!! 2 balconies over looking stunning water. All the comforts of home needed. Giuseppe was easy to communicate with and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view

Everything was top notch the view, location and ease of communication with the property owner. Any issue we had which were not many were dealt with immediately and without issue. If you are not fit or older this place may not be for you due to the steep stairs and there are lots. If you are ok with that this is the place is for you because it is spectacular. Would stay here again without question.

Our family of 5 had a lovely stay in Guiseppe's apartment in Sferracavallo - We were however a bit disappointed when we discovered that the small bay below the apartment had been blocked off so that it could not be used for swimming - hopefully it is only temporary, otherwise the apartment, in our opinion, will lose some of its value. the apartment is nice and bright, but the kitchen could use a little freshening up. Overall, we had a lovely stay in the apartment - many thanks to Guiseppe

Great view and spacious

A lovely traditional apartment with a very large spacious living room with a lovely outside seating area with table and chairs. Air con worked efficiently, great to have a washing machine, bed comfortable and again another balcony view. There are a lot of stairs up to apartment although we saw that as a positive way to do some exercise each day. Guiseppe was very communicative when we had questions. The beach is about 15 minutes away along the corniche surrounded by mountains so very pretty although a shame the beach and corniche were all a bit untidy. Accept that the end of the season so maybe tidier earlier in the year. A sheet with some instructions on about where everything is located or maybe a map showing supermarkets, bakery etc., and instructions with how things like the aircon worked etc., would be great. You can get from Palermo airport to Sferracavello by train and it’s only a ten minute walk to the apartment. We used the train quite a bit and have to say they are super efficient. Once you buy your ticket you must validate in the little green box next to the machine or around on the wall, Overall a very nice comfortable stay.

Great location in Sferracavallo

Apartment is central location and everything us literally around the corner. Supermarket for food and very good choice of places to eat. Apartment description and photos pretty much accurate. Didnt try public transport as we had a car so went to nearby beaches 10 min away. Mondello beach 20 min away. Airport 20min also. Giuseppe helped with different places to visit and other activities. Apartment is on 3rd floor so we are all fitter and better for the climb. Only recommendation is a wider door for the shower. I've 34in waist and a tight squeeze to get into it. As expected seafood and pasta in local places. One chicken cafe which was also great. If u have a car and dont want to stay in Palermo thoroughly recommend here. I'd even say stay outside Palermo. Take full insurance with the car. Local public beaches not sandy so where shoes u can go in the water with. Overall great 2 weeks. In general sicily not the cleanest of places . both local council and locals need to improve this as it doesnt give a great impression despite how much we enjoyed our stay.

Dear David, thank you for your words. Unfortunately the lack of cleanliness is a problem that afflicts us and is caused by some Sicilians and by an inefficient public administration. Sicily is a great place and it's such a shame that tourists have to talk about the dirt. It was a real pleasure to host you.

A lovely small apartment, perfect for two people.active people

We spent the first week of June in this lovely, clean and functional rooftop apartment. The balcony views are just as in the photo's and are added to with the constant hustle and bustle of this busy little fishing port. It great during the day to watch the fishermen, cars and scooters whizzing by. Sicily is a noisy place but here it is quiet at night. Guiseppe was a very helpful host and if you get a problem he texts straight back (you need to pull the flat door toward you to get the lock to work !) OK, there a three flights of stairs ( 50 steps) and a bit narrow, but I had no problems despite dodgy knees and the view makes up for it and trust me you would not want to be in a ground floor apartment here. The spiral stair to the bedroom and single box room is OK too ( the box room does not have aircon so could do with an electric fan) with a single bed, probably best for a youngster though. You can park easily , the WiFi is fine as is the aircon in the lounge and bedroom and there is everything in the town that you need from little supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers etc. and while the kitchen lacks a few utensils it is fine for preparing a meal. However, there must be around twenty restaurants which are such good value you may not want to bother and just have a few aperitifs on the terrace, watch the great sunsets before a couple of minute walk to the centre. It was wonderfully relaxing.

Fantastic view

We arrived late evening due to a 1hr delayed flight, and were shown in by the delightful Laura, and her partner who very kindly carried up our suitcase. Many thanks to both of them, as Guiseppe was out of town. We woke to the most amazing, spectacular view of the harbour and village, and the location was wonderful, with lots of restaurants, food shops, and a fabulous ice-cream parlour nearby. It was very easy to get the train or bus from there to Palermo, Isola de Femmine, Mondella and the airport. The 50 marble steps up to the property were no problem at all, but the dozen wooden stairs up to the bedrooms were horrid. So narrow and creaky, and as you needed to hold on, it was difficult to carry anything up or down. We had poor, cold water flow and an awful gas smell on the first day, but this was fixed 24 hours after our arrival. The appartment was adequately equipped, but the shower unit was the narrowest I’ve ever used, and the appartment was quite tired, with a rocky toilet, ill-fitting sink plug etc, and could really do with some TLC. A spoke fell out of the terrace parasol the first time we tried to put it up, so we didn’t try that again, and the blind in the second bedroom - single bed - stuck and wouldn’t close. It wouldn’t take too much to make the appartment a much nicer place to holiday in.

Dear guest, I will treasure your kind advice .... I would also like to advise you to advise when you plan to arrive three hours late in the middle of the night. To respond to the criticism: the interruption of the gas and water promptly resolved was caused by your maneuvering error, you did not turn on the light switch and invert the maneuvers for the gas, the sliding curtain of the bedroom got stuck, again for a incorrect use, but easily remedied. The shower has a standard size and no guest has ever had a problem. The umbrella is new and I will check if broken by previous guests. In any case if these issues had been reported immediately rather than on the review I would have promptly resolved. During my stay I sent messages several times to find out if you needed anything but I never received an answer, not to mention that you left without communicating anything and without handing over the keys.

The apartment was clean and in good condition. Beautiful sea view from the balcony. Close to shops and restaurants. The owner was very helpful, polite and easy to contact. The parking space was available on the street although it was tricky sometimes to find a free spot.

L'appartement correspond à l'annonce, il est très joli, cocooning !Attention, il ne convient pas du tout à de jeunes enfants ( nombreuses marches et stationnement difficile...).Pour nous, pas de souci !Giuseppe a répondu à toutes nos interrogations !Il conviendrait peut-être de mettre un petit check up de l'appartement, ne serait ce que pour la gestion des poubelles. Nous ne nous sommes pas senti forcément à l'aise dans cet ancien village de pêcheurs, même mal accueillis dans les commerces de proximité, c'est dommage.....La plage sur la photo n'est pas accessible, elle est entourée de claustras.La plus proche est à 10 min à pied, donc pas très loin !Attention, c'est un village très vivant avec beaucoup d'ambiance du matin au soir....

Prachtig uitzicht, leuk huis maar lawaaiige omgeving

Het huis heeft een prachtig uitzicht en een fijn balkon. Het is ook een compleet huis met snel internet. Het is ook goed koel te houden bij warmte. Wat niet in de omschrijving stond (of in reviews terug lazen) is dat je rekening moet houden met de muziek van de bars s'avonds en van bootjes met jongeren overdag. De politie heeft regelmatig ingegrepen op het water maar het geluid van de bars is tot sluit goed hoorbaar op het balkon en binnen. Als je daarvan houdt is het leuk maar wij vonden het niet fijn en hadden dit graag vooraf geweten. Dit is ook gedeeld met de eigenaar. Een eigenaar die afgezien hiervan, heel aardig was, snel reageerde en meedacht over uitjes in de omgeving.

Dear guest, Sferracavallo is a seaside town, and like all seaside towns, music is expected to accompany the evenings on certain days. You also confirmed that quiet hours were always respected, and silence was observed after midnight. I find your judgment somewhat unfair, given your comment about the quality of the apartment. P.S. I can't predict whether the town hall will organize parties during the week of your stay.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Die Wohnung liegt zentral direkt an der Bucht von Sferracavallo, ist gut ausgestattet und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Anreise vom Flughafen Punta Raisi ist mit der Bahn problemlos möglich. Einkäufe können gut zu Fuß erledigt werden. Der Ausblick vom Balkon geht über die ganze Bucht mit einer Reihe von Villen, einem Schwimmbad, einem kleinen Hafen und einer Surfschule. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und immer für uns erreichbar.
