This single-story spacious family house with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms is perfect for a home away from home. Private Pool, patio, internet, cable, large screen HDTVs, DVD players, and pool table. Parking for 2 cars in the attached garage.

Avondale is 15 minutes west of downtown Phoenix. It is a central location for visiting many local tourist attractions. It is also a great launching point for trips to Las Vegas (4 hours), San Diego (5 hours), or Rocky Point Mexico (4 hours).

Camelback Ranch (spring training home of LA Dodgers and Chicago White Sox) 3 miles
Maryville Baseball park (spring training home of the Milwaukee Brewers) 8 miles

Near Goodyear ballpark

We chose this property because of the location. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, pots pans, etc. It was a comfortable place to spend time. Without question we would stay there again.

Communication was great. Property was exactly as described. Very clean. Two minor things need better pillows and took a while for hot water to get warm. Would rent again if in the area.

Beautiful House, Concerned Host

The house was beautiful. The pool was nice, but unheated (maybe that's usual for Phoenix, but it was pretty chilly weather while we were there.) Everything worked in the house. Lots of tv's. A lovely pool table. Nice kitchen, but cupboards were pretty full, leaving very little room for our food. Not a big deal. The owner was very concerned about any light coming through the windows. He wanted the blinds down all the time, but allowed us to open the slats when we were in a room. That left us needing to use the lights in the house all the time. Would have enjoyed natural light, but owner was very concerned about fading caused by sunlight. The owner insisted on meeting us in person. He wanted us to meet with him prior to check-in time, but we had a tight schedule of picking up someone at the airport and getting to a baseball game we had purchased tickets for. So that led to a visit in the middle of our stay, whose purpose was not quite clear to us. But when he said, "It all looks good," we realized he wanted to see what we looked like and how the house looked after us being there a couple of days. That made us uncomfortable even though we were careful to follow all the rules. He also wanted to meet us before we left. However, it seemed that he came before we were awake because the garbage can had been put inside the garage after garbage pick-up. I'm not sure what VRBO's policy is concerning face to face meetings. I do know their tv ads emphasize "having the house to yourself." This was our first VRBO experience, so we weren't sure what to expect. We didn't expect the insistence on a face-to-face meeting during our stay. But overall, we enjoyed the house and its amenities.

An oasis in the desert

We have been on a cross country driving trip and this house is by far the best place we have stayed in - and we've been to several nice places so that says a lot. Beautifully kept home with large comfortable rooms in a quiet neighborhood yet close to lots of activities. The property owner is very accommodating and made us welcome for our time here. I hope for it to be available when we visit again in the future.

Duane's place met all of our needs! Duane was also very good to work with and was so helpful in accommodating our early check-in and later than normal check-out.

Felt like home!

Our family of 3 stayed in Duane's home for a week this summer while we visited Arizona for a baseball tournament. The home was well-kept and everything was easy to find. We loved having a pool to come home to after long, hot days at the ball park! Duane responded quickly to any questions we had and check in/check out was a quick, easy process. We would definitely recommend this home!

Clean and comfortable

We had an enjoyable stay with my in-laws in Duane's home. It's roomy, clean, decorated nicely and very comfortable, a great place to relax and unwind after all our rounds of golf. There's a nice backyard patio, pool, and the grapefruit tree made for a nice breakfast treat. Located in a quiet neighborhood with a grocery store and restaurants nearby. Brothers Pizza was a favorite. Renting from Duane was an easy process, he's very friendly and personable and we enjoyed meeting him. I recommend, and would stay again.

Hi Duane's house was lovely all the amenities plus more.We enjoyed the pool table as the weather was a little cool and the pool was nice to look at .The location of the house was perfect for hockey and baseball shopping golf horse back riding etc.Duane was the perfect host making sure we had everything.5 star all the way.Barb and Tom

Great house. Perfect size and loved the layout.

House was great for our family. Loved the location, nice quiet neighborhood. Bedrooms are perfect size. Liked the open kitchen, loving room, eating area. The master bedroom and bath are great. The walk-in closet was actually perfect for our baby to sleep in her pack n play (dark and quiet). Backyard was not exactly kid-friendly, but we knew that based on the pics. Wish the pool was heated, we didn't remember because we had looked at so many listings. Overall, great experience. Home owner was easy to work with too.

3rd month long stay!

Another great month at Duane’s house in Avondale! (Phoenix ) Speaking of which, Phoenix is quite large and spread out. Highway 10 is usually quite congested so you really need to pick your area and try not to travel across the city too much. We have found some great golf courses in our area and venture further afield once a week. The city has several good, inexpensive courses. We quite like Coldwater, which is only a 5-10 minute drive away. Aguila is a good course as well.. Cave Creek is ok, just consider the course not the cart paths. For a “treat”, we go to the two Verrado courses (Buckley) which are wonderful. Estrella golf course is also very good & “challenging.” There are numerous other good courses in the west and northwest parts of the city. GolfNow is a great tool to find “hot deals” & reasonable prices. The Reds and Indians spring training stadium are 10 minutes away where I enjoyed the season opener. The dome is also only10 minutes away for Coyote hockey and other events, as is the Cardinal stadium in season . We found several new great restaurants this year...... Abuelas and The East Asian Bistro. Many of “the usual chains” are nearby as well. Once more, we made our annual pilgrimage to Rock Springs for homemade pie and pickled beets ! Soooooooo good! I hiked several times at Estrella county park which is only 20 minutes away . The house is in a quiet, safe subdivision ,close to both highways 10 & 101. The neighborhood is great for taking leisurely, long walks. The home is large, with wide hallways and big rooms which I like, and is always clean and well appointed. It is well equipped with TVs, cable, internet and a even a printer. (to print out those GolfNow Hot Deals😀) The door locks with a code which is very convenient if several people are staying there . Duane is very friendly, easily available, and very helpful ! I can’t really think of anything negative. Enjoy your stay! Don and Pat

Perfect Desert Oasis

We loved our experience! We were there for a baseball tournament. We didn't do well in the tournament but had the gorgeous house to come back to. Pool and in house activities kept our minds off the hot weather. Thank you Duane for accommodating us with a great house!

Outstanding Property

We had the privilege of staying here for a week at the beginning of April. We could not have been happier with our choice! The house has plenty of room and was super clean. The pool table and and swimming pool were great though it was a little chilly for a swim when we were there. Easy access to to I-10 and the 101 and it is close to shopping and restaurants. Had the opportunity to meet the owner Duane, and he was so nice and accommodating. This is an outstanding value compared to other similar properties and I would definitely stay here again. Five Stars!!!

Great property!

Duane was a great host! He made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was well equipped and had pretty much everything we needed for the stay. It was nice and clean and everything was well maintained. The pool/patio area was a great place to relax. The pool table was a nice bonus as well. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to do it again!

We had another great Feb. at Duane's property . Please read my review from last year as that all applies. I will restress that the house is perfectly maintained and Duane is totally available and engaged in the property .( that is pretty much what his job is .... realty ) ! To clarify a few points , the house is four miles from the Coyote hockey stadium where we enjoyed several games at a much cheaper price than Toronto . At the same complex you can tour the Arizona Cardinals stadium and go to one of more than a dozen good but not great restaurants . The final four is at this complex this year ! Again I hiked Estrella county park three times ( 15 minute drive) a 2 ,4 , and 6 hour hike ) .The Cincinnati Reds complex is in that direction (10 minute drive) .As mentioned, Nascar is ten minutes but only for a week or so each year for the major race. We attended a couple spring training baseball games but they charge too much for " rookie tryout games " .We mostly golfed and there are lots of 4 and 3.5 / 5 courses (around $50.00 but not a lot less) that are anywhere from 5 minutes ( Coldwater) to 30 minutes away. A serious golfer should splurge on Estrella and Verado ( 2 courses) which are good value at half the price of Scottsdale upper level courses and every bit as good or maybe even better and more enjoyable ( really beautiful views also). So no downside that I can think of if you are interested in the sorts of things that are available here and enjoy 70 to 80 degree winter weather with a rare rainy day ! Don and Pat .

Comfortable & great location

The house is very well kept, comfortable, spacious and made our stay quite enjoyable. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful. It is located fairly close to restaurants, grocery stores, and other shopping. We attend the NASCAR races twice a year, and it was an easy drive to the track. The pool and back yard provided for some much needed down time. I would definitely stay here again if it is was available.

Great vacation, great place

I spend 9 days at the Duane's house. It's a great house for 4 adults and 2 childrens. Enough space but also a lot of intimity for two families. Duane answer to our question very quickly. I will recommand to my friend the Duane's house!!!! Thanks Duane!!!!
