Property Description
In Point Dillon 403 you are on top of the world overlooking mountains and lake in this comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bath. Sleeps 4. Vaulted windows in the living area and master bedroom. Big south facing covered deck is a great place for morning coffee. The condo is directly on Lake Dillon and the Summit County Recreation Path. Walk right out to a large lawn and the lakefront for summer enjoyment and winter snow play. The Rec Path is plowed in the winter for walking and taking in the unbelievable views. Lots of seating, gas fireplace and flatscreen in the comfortable living room. Free WiFi and cable. Fully equipped kitchen with lots of counter space for meal preparation. Dining table seats 6 and kitchen bar seats 4. Washer and dryer in unit for convenience.

Location
Great central location with easy access to I-70. In the winter it's just 7 minutes to Keystone Resort, 15 minutes to Copper Mountain, Arapahoe Basin or Loveland, 25 minutes to Breckenridge and 30 minutes to Vail. Walk to restaurants, brewpub, bars, nightlife, music/vinyl store, bowling. Enjoy the Dillon Lake Loops which are flat, groomed trails for hiking, cross country skiing, fat tire biking and snowshoeing on frozen Lake Dillon.

Free Summit Stage bus service is 2.5 blocks up the street and goes to all towns, resorts and the outlets.

The condo is right on Lake Dillon and the Summit County Recreation Path. Walk to the Dillon Amphitheater for concerts or the Friday Farmers Market from June to September and the Dillon Marina for SUP, kayak, sailboat and pontoon boat rentals. Very close to City Market, REI, coffee, shops, cinema, parks, restaurants, breweries and the new Vail Health Center. Just 5 minutes to the Silverthorne Outlets.

Spring Trip

Enjoyed the size, view, elevator, location & hot tub. Property managers very responsive. Good functional rental unit considering in original condition; updating bathrooms would improve cleanliness rating. Would stay here again.

The door to the washer and dryer fell off when opening. Some of the light switches didn't work or the lights needed replacing. Even with the instructions, we could not light the fireplace.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view is unbeatable and it was a convenient walk to the Marina. I appreciated the elevator even though it felt a little rickety. I would recommend other guests bring a block along with their charger since this place is not super updated. I think that added to the charm. I felt a little weird taking a shower, because the bathtubs were a little grimy. Everything else was clean. The ice maker was on the slow side, so maybe bring bottled water if you want it cold.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented in Point Dillon before and love the location and incredible views of the lake and mountains. This condo is extremely dated and in need of repairs. Entire condo wreaked of smell of too many different scented candles which bothered my husband, who is asthmatic, to have to use his rescue inhaler. The 3 stars is mainly for the incredible views. Also, Summit Resort Group was great to work with. We will not return to this condo however.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly loved the view from the unit. That was definitely the selling point. However, the unit itself was extremely out dated. Late 80s vibe. Definitely needs a face lift. The toilet in the master would not flush properly. To reach someone who could after business hours was next to impossible. Fortunately we weren't there very often. The check in process was also challenging and very old school. The whole experience in the stay we'd give 2 our of 5 stars.

Amazing View-Perfect stay!

We read all the reviews ahead of time for the Point Dillon condo and chose it based on the location. It FAR EXCEEDED our expectations! The view - oh my- to be able to look on the water and the mountains from the living room, the main bedroom, and have an entire balcony with the view was so nice! The condo was clean and had all we needed. The washer and dryer made leaving with clean clothes a nice treat. Lake Dillon has a lot to offer- the trail is awesome: bike, walk, even rent e-bikes and do the trail that goes to Breckinridge! The marina, paddleboard rentals, amphitheater, and terrific kids playground are really just a short walk. We used the pool and hot tub each night. There is a cafe within walking distance that has amazing breakfast, trout, burgers, or bbq!!! We took some sightseeing tours to Pike’s Peak and Garden of the Gods (2 hours give or take) and did the free gondola ride at Breckinridge and enjoyed gelato at I Scream there. We enjoyed fishing along the Blue River from Dillon to Copper Mountain just alongside the road in the river. It was a wonderful, wonderful stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very well equipped kitchen and stunning view! South facing balcony offered view of lake and busy trail. Just off highway, with traffic noise and not as walkable as expected due to heavy traffic. Nice that it is a smoke free building, including outdoors. Non updated, but more affordable unit with small, dark bathrooms but nice private layout. Plenty of linens but needs new pillows. Older, large but comfy furnishings, limited view of TV due to large cabinet and small TV for size of the room (okay for 2 people sitting right in front of tv). Twin beds were in good shape but king bed in primary needs replaced. Mgt company worked with us as we had to leave suddenly due to a person with altitude sickness in our group. Would have been nice to have access to the sauna. A bit of an awkward walk to access pool and hot tub. Garage parking was nice. Elevator occasionally jumpy.

Beautiful view, convenient location. Good communication with host. Parking lot got a little icy, and the layout with entries into bedrooms took some getting use to, but that allowed the great room to be more appealing and more enjoyment of the view. Nice open kitchen / dining / living room layout.

Mixed experience

The good- excellent location and view of Lake Dillon! The bad- no soap, stock of toilet paper or hair dryer. The bedding is old, no mattress pad on king bed, no king blanket, and pillows are marginal. Bathrooms are in need of an update especially toilets, sinks and shower heads. The place is tired and greatly needs to be taken out of the 80’s.

Great View

The condo was clean and well stocked. It is pretty outdated but we didn’t mind it. The view is absolutely amazing and was a treat to wake up to each morning. The biggest drawback is the wall of windows. The windows were all so very drafty. The condo was constantly cold even with the heat up as high as it would go. The worst was in the master bedroom. I purchased a couple space heaters which helped in the kids room but in the master it made no difference. Unfortunately we ended up going home a day early. We just couldn’t take the cold another night.

Nice place with many small issues

This condo had a great balcony view overlooking Lake Dillon and great access to the local shops and outlet mall. My family enjoyed the spacious living room and well stocked kitchen, which had plenty of utensils and cooking gear for our Thanksgiving meal. We had a lovely dinner around the large dining room set and enjoyed our evenings in front of the living room fireplace. Unfortunately, the master toilet leaked terribly from the cistern, flooding our bathroom twice. We had to dirty a lot of towels before resigning ourselves to using the guest toilet exclusively. The guest bathroom's bathtub has a broken faucet that somebody tried to jerry-rig with a valve clamp. This looks run-down and meant that the guest bathtub could only be used as a shower, which was inconvenient for our son. My wife joked that we basically had one working bathroom between the two. The kitchen faucet leaked badly as well and made kitchen cleanup messier than it should have been as well. The building's pool and hot tub were great. The pool is large, well-lit and warm enough that we spent a few hours playing in it. The hot tub has a gorgeous view of the mountains and sits close to the Lake Dillon trail. The pool and hot tub were both clean and well tended and the locker room facilities were good.
