Whimsical apartment completely renovated. Located in the walled area of the city, with great gastronomic and cultural offer. It is a second floor in a building dating from the early twentieth century. It consists of 70 m2 distributed in fully equipped kitchen with balcony overlooking the Plaza del Obispo, bathroom, living room with a sofa bed and balcony overlooking the Calle Mayor, room with double bed and another room with a trundle bed ( 2 units). Linens and towels included.

The flat was very clean and as described. Its in the middle of the old town with bars and restaurants close by. Even so noise is not a problem as traffic is not allowed and they dont have late night venues. Alvaro was really helpful throughout telling us about events and when there was a bank holiday which closed some shops. There are lots of restaurants all of which were reasonable. The food was brilliant. Like a previous review I would recommend using the direct bus to San Sebastian, its about 25 minutes .We also went across on the small Ferry to Henday for the Beach. Lovely flat in a nice town, I would strongly recommend both.

Absolutely wonderful apartment, host and location. Everything was as described until settling into the apartment and then everything seceded expectations. The bed, linen and pillows were4* hotel quality. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need.The location in the old town was awesome and very relaxing. There was no air con but was always cool.

Everything was perfect. Our host met us for the check in and showed us around the apartment. The location is in the middle of the old town of Hondarribia, walking distance to many places. The apartment was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. It's located in a beautiful old building and has its own 2 balconies where we enjoyed our morning tea. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and modern and the kitchen had everything we needed, even including a washing machine. 100% recommend this place to everyone! Thank you again Alvaro!

This is a great and scenic place to stay. A good atmosphere in the old town with lots of places to eat good food within walking distance. The host is brilliant and available when needed.
Delicious local wine. Go and visit the vineyard.

The owner provided excellent information before arriving and arranged to meet us to take us to the apartment. Apartment was well equipped and nicely furnished and in an ideal position within a lovely medieval town. Parking was very near as are many very good restaurants. There is a large supermarket 5 minutes walk away. I would highly recommend this apartment and as a place to explore the Basque region by car or local bus.

Every thing about this property was beyond my expectations, well fitted out, extremely comfortable beds, very clean, a gorgeous homely aesthetic apartment in a fairy tale setting. Hosts very thoughtful.

Wonderful experience in beautiful old Hondarribia. Alvaro was the perfect host who helped us with our luggage, escorted us to the apartment. He also gave us suggestions for restaurants in the area and that the best way to travel to San Sebastián is by bus. I highly recommend this appartment.

The location in this historic city is unbeatable. The walled area is charming and ancient but this apartment is modern and extremely comfortable.

Wonderful!

Our stay was wonderful. Upon arrival we were shown where to park and received assistance with our luggage and a short tour of the apartment. The apartment itself was very clean and perfect for our family. We loved the quiet location with wonderful cafes and restaurant minutes away. We would definitely stay here again for any return trips!

Lovely apartment in historic Hondarribia!

The apartment is in the middle of the old town of Hondarribia and a short walk from lots of lovely bars and restaurants, not to mention some beautiful beaches and sights along the coast. Alvaro (our host) was charming and very helpful with lots of local recommendations and advice. Can't recommend this place too highly!

Wonderful stay in Hondarribia

Everything was perfect with our stay in Hondarribia. The apartment's location is great, with easy access to everything you might want to see in Hondarribia. Alvaro was great and he helped us with parking, making us comfortable at the home during check-in, and being always available to provide recommendations for things to do in the area. We would love to stay at the apartment again if the opportunity were to come up.

Beautiful flat in a great location

Our stay in Hondarribia was our favorite. The flat is updated, very clean, and comfortable. We loved being right in the middle of this adorable town. Alvaro was also an amazing host and gave us restaurant and attraction recommendations. We really enjoyed taking the bus to San Sebastián for the day (20 minute ride). We already want to return for a second visit.

Could not have asked for a better experience…our host (Alvaro) was the best! He helped us with our bags and gave us great local advise on local sites and great restaurants! 5 stars across the board!

Wonderful!

This place is great. Hondarribia is terrific... so many fun things to do and eat! The location of this apartment, inside the walled city, is perfect. Alvaro was a terrific host and went out of his way to give us advice on things to do. The apartment was well equipped and very comfortable Great for a family.

A Medieval Oasis

Alvaro was a wonderful host during our 5-night stay. Helped us with our luggage from our rendezvous point. He was super attentive via WhatsApp and gave us great dining and sightseeing recommendations. The property was well appointed and charming. We enjoyed several meals on the balcony overlooking the Calle Mayor.

Superb Apartment!

We stayed here for a week to explore the Basque country. It is a great place witg most sights a reasonable drive away. The apartment was superb and tastefully furnished. We found the whole place a great place to stay and the comfort of the apartment was great. The location is central and plenty to do within walking distance. We hired a car from the airport and there was a free car park 2 minutes away. Alvaro was extremely helpful and made sure we enjoyed our time there. I would thoroughly recommend the apartment!

Exceptional accomodation from an experience point of view right in the heart of the old town. The views from the apartment are beautiful and walking around the old town, you feel like you’ve stepped into an epic movie set with warmest, most authentic and friendly people. In the apartment everything was clean, comfortable and wonderfully appointed. Easy access to great dining, tapas and bars both local and into San Sebastian and/or the Basque side of France. I highly recommend Alvaro’s place and Hondarribia as a wonderful location-it exceeded all our expectations. We will be back!

Wonderful time in Hondaribbia

Alvaro's place is in an amazing location. Even without going into the town (which is walkable) , there are several bars and restaurants just a few steps away, including a lovely courtyard in which to have drinks and pintxos. The apartment is well equipped with everything we could have needed. The bed was very comfy. Alvaro was a wonderful communicator. At the beginning of our stay he met us in the carpark and showed us around the property and gave us tips on things to do. He was available for any questions we had throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this property.
