The Chalets A-Frames are iconic, romantic, cozy and comfortable with two queen bed sleeping areas and one full bath. Arranged along the ridge of a hill, each A-Frames has a private deck with hot tub, grill and view into mature woods. Their vaulted open-concept living areas include a kitchenette, dining for four, fire place, flat-screen tv, exposed beams and lots of light. And every one is pet-friendly*! The A-Frames are at the Chalets' Old Man's Cave location of 140 acres, 31 cabins, pool, firepits, SaunaPods, electric vehicle charging stations, office and neighboring General Store. It sits two miles from the epicenter of the region: Hocking Hills State Park visitors center.

*Limit two pets. $50+tax fee. Breed restrictions apply.

Last minute trip

loved the location and the grounds around the chalet. Kids wanted to stay longer. I would recommend to bring a fan for the room upstairs.

Short get away!

It was absolutely wonderful. Very clean!!!!! Everything you could possibly want. Beautiful scenery while relaxing in the hot tub. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We will definitely be returning. The area has so much to do. Bringing family back with us. Also we brought our little yorkie with us and everywhere we went was puppy friendly. Highly recommend hocking Hills and staying at the chalets.

Relaxing

The cabin was clean, and the hot tub was amazing. We had a little trouble with the Wi-Fi, but they came right up and got it going for us. We would definitely go back.

Long Weekend Stay

The location of the Chalets is perfect. And access to a swimming pool in July was wonderful! We really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful vacation

After all day hiking in Hocking Hills, it was great to be able to drive the short distance back to our chalet to relax in the hot tub and just hang out. Would highly recommend.

Great stay!

Loved Hocking Hills! Hikes were great, our cabin was a short drive to town & all the hikes! Loved the hot tub! Didn’t realize there wasn’t an oven & was a small fridge. A frame was nice & comfortable!

Birthday celebration

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. It is nicely decorated, the hot tub functioned perfectly, and we liked the exclusivity of the cabin. Even though it was surrounded by other A frames we felt alone and enjoyed that aspect. It is in a great location and the foliage and weather couldn’t have been better. We would definitely stay here again!!!!

Cute little place!

My husband & I stayed 3 days in the A-Frame. It was clean & quiet, nice location to the State Park & JG Astronomy dark park. The hot tub was clean & fresh with an easy-off lid. There a nice little ice cream shop just around the corner from the office. We’ll be back for another stay!

Lovely stay in Hocking hills

Chalet was wonderful for the two of us friends. Plenty of room, very clean and lovely property. Hot tub was immaculate. Check-in and out was easy. Close to the major hikes. Would highly recommend!

Chalet in the woods

Very clean and adorable property. The A-frame was actually larger on the inside than it appeared to be. Right at the entrance to the state park making it a perfect location. Away from crowds but close enough to enjoy the activities.

Nice lodging

Lodging was quaint & clean, but should have investigated Hocking Hills more. Due to drought, didn't see any waterfalls. The rock formations were beautiful, but I was very disappointed there wasn't a drop of water. Would've cancelled trip if I knew.

I booked the place for my folks 50th wedding anniversary and overall they said it was a lovely time. Highlight was the easy open private hot tub, complete with a platform to hold your drinks. Check in was rough though, as they were unable to get into their cabin & no one was in the office to help, as they left early that day due to the Internet going out. Thankfully a maintenance man noticed them going back & forth so he came to their rescue and eventually got them in. When you type in the door code you have about 2 seconds to then turn the dead bolt to actually open - this important step should be clearly noted on the check in notes directly under the door code. The A frame itself was very cute, but they did bump their heads a few times, and having to bend down to get to the mini fridge was also a bit challenging for an older person. Each cabin has its own tiny bin like fire pit, but they didn't have any chairs around them and it's pretty close to the next cabin, so if you want to roast s'mores it's best to use the larger group fire pit.

Chalets in Hocking Hills 17

We had a wonderful weekend. The cabin had some busted tile in front of the fireplace and other MINOR damages, but; nothing dissruptive to the stay. All appliances, hot tub, etc.. were in good working order. House keeping and other personnel were friendly and helpful.
