A secluded wooded setting in Ohio's Hocking Hills, with views enjoyed from the wrap-around deck, the hot-tub or the wall of windows along the open-concept, vaulted, living area. The massive chimney is made of local river rocks. Queen bedroom on main floor and a queen bed in loft. (Loft is accessed by a rustic-styled ladder – which is fun for some of us, but not recommended for guests with physical limitations or for children.) Wood-burning fireplace and charcoal grill. Satellite tv and DVD player. But no Wi-Fi available at this location. Also, mobile-phone coverage is spotty – so use your car’s GPS. (There is a land-line phone.)

This was the perfect cabin for our family of four, Dad, Mom, 17, 15. The deck was great to sit and look out over the trees and the hot tub was so nice after our 10 miles of hiking on day two. We had a fire in the outdoor fire pit both nights and cooked all our meals in the cabin. We will be back for more time to relax in the Elk Cabin.

Wonderful couple of days over Thanksgiving. Hosts were very proactive and easy to get hold of. Place was exactly as represented. Didn't get to enjoy the hot tub or much down time on this trip as it was a family Thanksgiving get together that was very busy. Would definitely come back for a long weekend (or longer!) and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

We stayed for Labor Day weekend. It was a nice quant cabin that was perfect for our family of 4. Everything was ready when we arrived and it was super easy getting to and in the cabin. The location was great as it was close to most of the hiking trails. We loved the hot tub and firepit.

It was nice. I do think it should be noted that the loft area steps are steep. Not suitable for littles. But cozy for a little older children. We had our 9 and 11 year old ans they thought it was amazing having their own space up there.

The cabin was beautiful and secluded. Perfect for a weekend getaway. The loft bedroom is the shining jewel in my opinion because of the view, but being a loft, it may not be suited for people with mobility issues as the stairs to enter are steep. The wood burning fireplace does cause a smell to the cabin that, to me, was somewhat undesirable, but it is a normal smell for a room with a wood burning fireplace. Some time with the windows open cleared it out. Over all, we loved the cabin and would highly recommend!
