Magical cabin on the water

This place is truly a gem and I canā€™t believe how lucky we were to have found it. Adorable, cozy, clean, well stocked, wonderful host. We awoke the second morning to sun shining through the windows and reflecting off the water. The whole cabin was sparkling! Quiet and secluded. Exactly what we were looking for. Fell asleep in soft linens to the sound of the water lapping under the cabin. Ahhhh. Will certainly return.

Perfect escape

The house was absolute perfection. The view is magic and there are windows everywhere letting in so much light. The sun and the rain were equally enjoyable and I hope to visit again soon. Thank you for the best weekend escape I have had!

Lovely little cottage

We had a wonderful time here. Barron was helpful and the check in process was simple. The location is cozy and quiet, and we loved having the tide come up under the cottage. We would definitely stay here again.

Eco Cottage

Great little beachfront property. Small but clean. Expensive but quiet and peaceful. Definitely not for people with mobility issues. Couch bed was difficult to open and I am very handy. A bit overpriced but maybe off season is better?

Magical Lake House

This is a charming property that lives up to the reviews. We loved the location and the house was a perfect little oasis. Kitchen is well equipped to cook your meals every day. Host was very accommodating and communicative. Would definitely recommend and go back!

peace by the water

The cottage is cozy, lots of light, right on the water. I startled a deer as I went down the path and nature continued to show me her children, heron, eagle, seal, seagulls shopping for a meal. The kitchen is very well supplied. Quiet, beautiful location. You can stay at the cottage or tour the island. Either way is delightful.

Little piece of heaven

This was our second stay at the eco cottage, both times to celebrate our summer wedding anniversary. This is the perfect spot to relax and connect, the scenery is breathtaking! The cottage has everything you need and is comfortable. We spent most waking hours on the deck or on the beach. Vashon island also has a lot to offer, hiking trails, beaches to explore, great coffee from the roasters. Host is friendly and easy to Communicate with. Weā€™ll be back again for sure!

Lovely weekend

Barron's home is so comfortable and the location is really perfectā€”right on the water, and the trails in the woods across the street were fun to explore, too. The weather was on the cold and windy side, but the home was so cozy that we didn't care.

Absolutely Tranquill

This was exactly what we were looking for as a getaway!!! The host is awesome to communicate with. The property has amazing views and the island is so easy to navigate. The people are so nice and welcoming. Do not forget to see the TROLL, it is a sight to see. We will be keeping this on our list to return to. A Dream

This cottage is something out of a dream. What an amazing experience we had! My husband and I are very grateful we were able to spend our anniversary weekend there. Reading on the deck, cooking dinner together, and sleeping in were some of our highlights. The space has everything you need and everything you donā€™t. Itā€™s simple and serene. We have a big family and a busy life, this place was the perfect reminder to breathe, reflect, and take the time to be present and enjoy the people you love the most. Wonderful Cabin Stay on Vashon

We rented the beach cottage for my sister's wedding weekend and it was the perfect spot for my wife and I to stay! Such a great location right "on" the water. I jumped in the sound every morning to wake up. The cabin is cozy but was great size for us. Bed was comfy and deck chairs per perfect for watching the Perseid meteor shower late into the night!

The best local getaway

This place is magical. We were looking for a spot to unplug from the city for a while without having to travel far. We spent days cooking, exploring by foot, watching birds, seals, sea lions and other marine life, and of course drinking in the sun and the sea. The house was very well appointed, clean, comfortable, and had great beachy/waterfront vibes. Barron is an excellent host. He's kind, responsive, and seems genuinely grateful to share his special home by the harbor. We'll definitely be backā€”again and again.

Stay ON the Water

When the tide comes in, itā€™s literally under the cabin. Looking over the deck railing we saw jellyfish and even a seal. There were deer all over the island. This is a great place to stay if you love nature. Our host communicated everything we needed to know and was super friendly. The cabin is beautifully kept. Itā€™s a tiny little place, but comfortable. Be warned that there are no shades or blackout curtains and the cabin gets the morning sun. The bed was very comfortable and we slept with all the windows open. The couch was not kind to our backs, but there are a couple of nice, soft chairs. We launched our kayaks at Jensens and paddled to the cabin where we were able to tie them to the bulkhead. Very handy. We were there for the 4th of July. Phenomenal. We paddled the kayaks around the point and hooked ourselves to one of the buoys. The fireworks launched right across from us and we had a completely unobstructed view. I had never been to Vashon Island before. Be prepared, it isnā€™t a tourist destination. Thereā€™s not a lot to do there. But like I said, the flora and fauna and spectacular. Two things in closing: One - travel light. Those steps are not fun. My husband hurt his foot on the way there, so I was tasked with carrying all the luggage and supplies down. Iā€™m no spring chicken, so it was hard work and took 4 trips. Thatā€™s a lot of stairs. And two - donā€™t buy coffee filters. There are enough coffee filters in the cabinet to last a year.

Cozy waterfront retreat

This is a small cozy home that has all the essentials. It is beautiful and airy feeling, well decorated with an incredible view. The stairs down to the home are equivalent to 2-3 flights of stairs but not discouraging for those of able body. It is close to town and the neighborhood is quiet and serene. I was lucky enough to have multiple visits from deer and harbor seals, which was a welcome treat. The host was very friendly and communicative. Checking in and out was a breeze.

To tell you a little about us, I own my own music business, Barronā€™s Big Band, and was an elementary teacher at Chautauqua Elementary here on Vashon Island. I now teach The Yoga of Mindset to children and adults. My wife recently passed away, but Seana was the founder of the Restorative Leadership Institute.
