Your romantic waterfront getaway awaits you in this gorgeous private guest home on one of the most impressive waterfront properties in Washington. Wake up in your king-sized memory foam bed to golden sunrises over the Puget Sound. This guesthouse is detached from the main home and tucked away behind a gated French Chateau style estate in a quiet picturesque neighborhood. One mile from the Harbor and downtown shops, restaurants and breweries.

Guest home has a full-sized kitchen complete with everything you need to make a great cup of coffee or romantic dinner. Comfy living room area perfect for unwinding and snuggling in with a good book or movie. Stunning Italian marble bathroom with double vanity, walk-in-shower and full-sized washer and dryer. Home has 2 electric based wall heating units located in the living room and bedroom and a fireplace in the living room.

Meander around the meticulously kept gardens of the main home and don't forget to catch some "Morning Therapy" by watching the stunning sunrises, complete with Mount Rainier, Vashon Island and Point Defiance Views. Orca whales, harbor seals, porpoises, and bald eagles are all common visitors in this beautiful high bank waterfront backyard along Colvos Passage in the quiet community of Gig Harbor, Washington!

*this is high bank waterfront and there are no stairs down to water.

The property has magnificent flower gardens and views. Access to the gardens, lawn, and waterside sitting area were a plus. The property was easy to access, private, clean, and effectively stocked for our needs. Shannon was extremely responsive and accommodating. We had a tremendous time and loved this charming offering.

Breathtaking views

My husband and I had a quick weekend getaway from our crazy life’s. The property was beautiful and meticulously maintained! Definitely set up as a “romantic cottage”. The hosts were amazing and easy to communicate with. And the views were breathtaking! Can’t wait to go back!

Perfect Getaway for 2

We stayed at Shannon and Lorne's property for the 4th of July weekend and were not disappointed! The view from the backyard was an excellent place to catch a glimpse of fireworks on the mainland.Shannon and Lorne were excellent hosts and offered some of the best communication that i have had on VRBO. While the guest house was just steps away from their main home, we barely noticed they were there. They were very accommodating and allowed us to enjoy their perfectly landscaped property without feeling like we were encroaching on their home.

I had the best time!

This guest home is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It’s perfect for a quick getaway. The was super comfy and view from the peoperty is amazing. The hosts were so easy to communicate with and made the check in and check out process super easy. I highly recommend this property and I can’t wait to book again!

The most amazing stay

From the minute we entered the palatial gate, we felt like we were in a storybook. The French provincial accommodation surrounded by beautiful gardens is just the beginning. Our host Shannon and Lorne welcomed us with a tour of the gorgeous view of the Puget sound. The interior was just as amazing. We will definitely be back!!

Gorgeous stay in Gig Harbor

The Chateau by the Sea is highly recommended. perfect location. Your hosts will be the added bonus; such fine people. This venue is so wonderful, we chose carry-out each evening to enjoy the private peaceful retreat. The 1-5 rating scale on the app should go to 10!

Absolute Paradise

Shannon made our getaway even better than we imagined. She had a bottle of wine and dry sodas in the fridge. She even picked fresh figs off her tree for us to enjoy! The grounds are well manicured with views for days. Just relax and make unforgettable memories here!

Perfect & Relaxing!

I couldn’t have had a more relaxing, calming and beautiful place to enjoy celebrating my 60th birthday. Our hosts were fabulous, thoughtful and were wonderful to share their fabulous view. They also provided us with suggestions for things to check out in Gig Harbor and surrounding area, which was helpful as this was our first (but certainly not our last) trip here.

Amazing find

What a wonderful place to rejuvenate. It’s quiet, serene, and beautiful. The chateau is in a quiet neighborhood with access to amazing shopping/restaurants within a short walking distance along the harbor. The host, Shannon, is super personable and lovely. I wasn’t too disappointed when our show was rescheduled since it will give us another opportunity to enjoy another stay.

Winter Getaway

We arrived just after Christmas for a short get away. It was a wonderful, rejuvenating few days. The chateau is beautiful, comfy and well appointed. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is lovely. Shannon and Loren made us feel very welcomed, were flexible and were available when we needed them. Can't wait to come back in the summer months. Definitely happy we chose to stay there and you will be too!

Hello! I am Shannon, your primary host, along with my husband Lorne. We were on vacation and in this very backyard on a garden tour when we decided that Gig Harbor was where we wanted to live. Little did we know, this would be the exact home we would move into 3 years later (by many twists of fate). It is our absolute pleasure to have this opportunity to share Gig Harbor with you by renting our guest home. Although we respect your privacy, please don’t hesitate to say hello or let us know if you’d like to meet up. We have enjoyed getting to know our many of our guests, it's why we do this!
