Your romantic waterfront getaway awaits you in this gorgeous private guest home on one of the most impressive waterfront properties in Washington. Wake up in your king-sized memory foam bed to golden sunrises over the Puget Sound. This guesthouse is detached from the main home and tucked away behind a gated French Chateau style estate in a quiet picturesque neighborhood. One mile from the Harbor and downtown shops, restaurants and breweries.

Guest home has a full-sized kitchen complete with everything you need to make a great cup of coffee or romantic dinner. Comfy living room area perfect for unwinding and snuggling in with a good book or movie. Stunning Italian marble bathroom with double vanity, walk-in-shower and full-sized washer and dryer. Home has 2 electric based wall heating units located in the living room and bedroom and a fireplace in the living room.

Meander around the meticulously kept gardens of the main home and don't forget to catch some "Morning Therapy" by watching the stunning sunrises, complete with Mount Rainier, Vashon Island and Point Defiance Views. Orca whales, harbor seals, porpoises, and bald eagles are all common visitors in this beautiful high bank waterfront backyard along Colvos Passage in the quiet community of Gig Harbor, Washington!

*this is high bank waterfront and there are no stairs down to water.

Everything was perfect. We were visiting to explore the Gig Harbor area and Shannon provided a bunch of great recommendations (food, attractions, even a realtor). The guest home is excellent and we enjoyed several afternoons down by the waterfront with some wine. The weather was beautiful and Shannon and Lorne were terrific!

Of all the VRBO properties we have stayed in, this was a 100% perfect property. There was not one thing you would want. Plenty of closet space, beautiful furnishings, walkable to Gig Harbor, and ultra comfortable. Normally we stay at VRBO to reach a location. This is the location. A 5 minute walk to the back yard, and sound views, takes 20 minutes because the gardens are so beautiful. The view is the best in Gig Harbor. End your day with a glass of wine and sitting in the lawn chairs.

The property has magnificent flower gardens and views. Access to the gardens, lawn, and waterside sitting area were a plus. The property was easy to access, private, clean, and effectively stocked for our needs. Shannon was extremely responsive and accommodating. We had a tremendous time and loved this charming offering.

Perfect Getaway for 2

We stayed at Shannon and Lorne's property for the 4th of July weekend and were not disappointed! The view from the backyard was an excellent place to catch a glimpse of fireworks on the mainland.Shannon and Lorne were excellent hosts and offered some of the best communication that i have had on VRBO. While the guest house was just steps away from their main home, we barely noticed they were there. They were very accommodating and allowed us to enjoy their perfectly landscaped property without feeling like we were encroaching on their home.

Stunning Gig Harbor “Chateau”

The hosts were extremely generous and knowledge. They were to guide/point us at number of local attractions. The property, its gardens and architecture, are beautiful. It lives up to its namesake as a “chateau”. The garden is impressive, having been featured in the 2019 Masters Gardners Tour. The property also offers stunning views of the Pudget Sound and Mount Rainier. I would not hesitate to recommend these hosts and this property for your future travel plans to Gig Harbor.

Beautiful location - European ambience

We just completed a 3 day stay and were delighted about every aspect of the place. The warm message and bottle of wine to greet us, the charming decor, the beautifully appointed rooms and the exquisite gardens made it a perfect 10 VRBO experience. Shannon and Lorne have graciously opened part of their lovely home and gardens and we are thankful for that!

Amazing Stay!

My wife stayed here while we visited Seattle and the surrounding national parks. This was one of the prettiest VRBOs we have ever stayed in. The guest house, which is located by the main house, is clean, cute, and comfortable. The owners also have an area that you can access in the backyard that has a great view of Seattle, Mount Rainier, and the water. We ate breakfast out there every morning and saw a lot of marine life. Speaking of the owners, they are both incredibly nice and gave us a lot of great information about the surrounding area and cool spots to check out. Overall, we had an amazing time staying here and hope to come back in the future.

Gorgeous Views

This was my second stay in the past ten months. The guest house is beautiful and spacious and just an eight minute drive to Gig Harbor. But the views are the real star. If you're lucky enough to get clear weather you can spend your day gazing at Mt Rainier paired with big water views of Pudget Sound. My wife and I got lucky on this trip and had three straight days of good weather. We enjoyed most of our time outside.

Breathtaking views

My husband and I had a quick weekend getaway from our crazy life’s. The property was beautiful and meticulously maintained! Definitely set up as a “romantic cottage”. The hosts were amazing and easy to communicate with. And the views were breathtaking! Can’t wait to go back!

Hello! I am Shannon, your primary host, along with my husband Lorne. We were on vacation and in this very backyard on a garden tour when we decided that Gig Harbor was where we wanted to live. Little did we know, this would be the exact home we would move into 3 years later (by many twists of fate). It is our absolute pleasure to have this opportunity to share Gig Harbor with you by renting our guest home. Although we respect your privacy, please don’t hesitate to say hello or let us know if you’d like to meet up. We have enjoyed getting to know our many of our guests, it's why we do this!
