Sant' Egidio apartment is located of the ground floor of a 19th C. building and easily accomodates 3 adults (1 is sofa bed). Is a very quiet apartment since orientated to an internal court.
There are 3 stairs to enter the apartment.
The apartment is in typical Tuscan style with beams and joists. Holds 1 large master bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 kitchenette with oven, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, smoother and small little lounge with flat LED TV and sofa bed. In both bedroom and lounge air conditioning is available. Internet WI-FI connection is free and available together with washing machine.

The apartment is wonderful! The location is perfect. And there were great supplies to make our stay more comfortable and efficient. Paper products were there, spices, plenty of kitchen supplies. The towels in the bathroom were plentiful, large and soft. Use the oven, stove, top washer and dryer and dishwasher, everything worked well! The bed was comfortable and the rooms were plenty large.

The apartment was very well provided with amenities. It was clean, comfortable and very cosy. The kitchen was small but well stocked with cutlery, plates, cups etc. My only small issue was the lack of a couple of small saucepans and maybe a slightly larger frypan. We cooked at home every day so noticed this maybe more than people who go out to eat. Mirta and Franceso were excellent hosts, as was Enrico who met us when we arrived. We will be coming back.

We could have used more TP, I had to buy some. Also the 2 locks on the front door and apartment door are tricky to open.Other than that we had a wonderful time! thanks so much! Great location, fun pizza place and bar right across the street.

All the comforts of home and proximity to all the sights of Florence…and there are many! The bed was so comfortable and cozy…we slept great after many hours of exploring the city! Highly recommend!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect and we were able to go back to the apartment early afternoon to regenerate before heading out again. The property is quite and feels very safe. It is quite dark, however we did not spend a lot of time there, so it wasn't am issue. It is close to buses, bars, restaurants, gelato shops (very important!) and a supermarket is close by. We ate in one night and it had everything we needed to prepare a simple mealWe would recommend the apartment to anyone staying in Florence.

Excellent Accommodation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this amazing apartment. It has loads of character, is quiet and pleasantly cool during the hot weather. The apartment is very well equipped and is in an excellent, central location. Communication from the owners was great and they responded promptly to any questions we had. Quiet sanctuary in the heart of Florence

I stayed at this first-floor apartment with my husband and 8 year old daughter and it was the perfect size for 2 adults and 1 child. The owner met us on arrival and helped by setting up the fold-out couch as a bed for our daughter. There were many extras we appreciated, like the travel shampoos and complimentary snacks and bottle of wine. Location is around the corner from the Duomo and a convenient walk to all major sites, but you would never know it, it was so calm and quiet. The unit also has air conditioning units in both main room and bedroom which was a huge plus since we were there during a heat wave. If you stay here we recommend keeping the air on and windows shut in summer since we noticed a few mosquitoes getting into the unit. Otherwise we found this a great home base for our Florence visit!

Adequate but with hassles

Good location, just needs some routine maintenance. The washer/dryer takes 5 hours and either leaves clothes still wet or blisteringly hot. The iron requires a plug in attachment that you must switch between appliances to make them work. We don’t have this in the US and weren’t told about in at check-in. Also, mosquitoes were a huge issue. There were dozens in the house, and all three of us were left with a ridiculous amount of bites while we slept. We contacted the host about this in the morning and they responded in the afternoon that there bug spray in the cupboard, but there was only a little bit left in the can, barely enough for one room. Later, they sent someone with a plug-in repellent, but we wish the issue had been taken care of beforehand, especially since their fix was so simple (though it didn’t seem effective). Additionally, we tried to use the oven while our clothes were still drying, and the entire apartment lost power. We played with the fuse box and nothing worked until we found another fuse box outside the apartment. The host did not reply until hours later when we had already figured it out.

Great location but MOSQUITOES

The property is in a fabulous location. Very close to the Duomo, grocery store, bus stops, restaurants, etc. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning was nice. We let the host know we would be doing laundry and she left us some complimentary laundry pods. As others have mentioned the bathroom especially the shower is quite small but we were expecting that. What we were not expecting was the copius amount of mosquitoes. During our 3 nights in Florence I think we saw one mosquito outside. However this apartment is full of them. The host is aware of this because when I suggested some fly strips or other pest control solutions she mentioned that there is Raid for mosquitoes by the washing machine. We did spray this a few times in the apartment but the smell is not great and it didn't really seem to help. Both my daughter and I have multiple bites all over.

Near the Duomo

This was our second stay at this apartment and again it was wonderful. We really enjoy the area, as it is so near major landmarks but also an area frequented by locals as well as tourists. The apartment was clean and the washer/dryer was a plus! Also, they were very helpful getting us into the apartment early and helping us get a taxi to the train station when we left. Would love to come back!

Genuine hospitality, perfect location

Fabulous, extremely hospitable hosts, wonderful stay. The perfect spot for a 6-week vacation. The location is perfect, about 5-7 mins walk from the Piazza Del Duomo but far enough away to not be inundated by crowds. Close to the Mercato Sant’Ambrogio, where the locals shop, best place for fresh fruits and veggies, meats and seafood. Thank you so much to Francesco and Mirta for a fantastic 30th anniversary vacation stay. We hope to see you again!

Lovely place in downtown Florence

It is a very nice home in a wonderful location. The home was large, with a well furnished kitchen, nice bathroom, very comfortable bed and pleasant living/sitting area.

Our stay in Florence Italy was wonderful. The apartment was very cozy. The location is perfect. Exactly as described.

We enjoyed staying at this 15th century property for our two-week stay. Comfy bed, updated kitchen, very quiet and insulated from any street noise. It was perfect for a couple on vacay in Florence. We were softly greeted in the mornings by the bells of the Duomo. All went 5-stars until the last two mornings with no hot water in the shower - just like in the 15th century... Advised the owner through VRBO text but never got any response to fix the issue before we departed. Otherwise a 5-star experience.

My husband and I were looking as an investment a flat which was in the heart of Florence, in an ancient building and we fell in love with the beams and joists of this flat which are thypical of the Florentine style. This is also the reason why we tried to give Sant' Egidio a warm touch mantaining a very relaxing atmosphere.
