Very clean and spacious, plenty of storage. Brilliant everyone had there own on-suite, lovely large garden for family fun

Excellent location in a lovely small village next to a friendly pub. The house is well equipped. Two of the double rooms and the dining area are quite a squeeze but it didn't stop us having a super holiday.

a great house for a few days in the hills

we stayed at y gorlan for 3 nights with a few family members there were 10 of us and the house was ample in size and in accesories. There were ensuites to every room which was a big plus and the location is perfect just 10 mins to conwy and great for walks of all levels around the house. The 2 bikes that were provided by the host was also great and had some lovely bbq is the huge rear garden . Would definitely come back again!!

Great stay

10 of us go away pre christmas for a weekend of fun and walks, eating and drinking. We checked in without issue and info received from host was clear and simple. House is beautiful, well appointed and nice and warm when we arrived. Bedrooms are lovely but are different sizes so its useful to take this into account when allocating rooms. Kitchen is great and dining area plenty big enough for 10. Two lounges , one huge for everyone to be together Unfortunately we stayed when a storm hit and we had no power for a full day, however the host kept in touch throughout. Great place to stay, would definitely recommend

Great little village and located right next door to the pub. Lots of walks straight from the accommodation.The house has pretty much everything you will need, including BBQ, ample seating, Sky TV, room to get some quiet time from the rest of your group, and ample parking.We even got lucky with the weather and could make great use of the large rear garden

Beautiful House in great Location

Being my daughters 16th Birthday and extended family joining us we needed a home big enough with room for all to share. This house with its beautiful garden fitted the bill perfectly.

Maternal Cousins Weekend & German Visit June 2022

The owners/managers were great, fast to respond to queries and provided, at no extra cost, clean linen/towels for the change of two beds when our two cousins left to be replaced by four friends from Germany mid way through the stay. The cottage was pretty much as described and well equipped but some of the first floor bedrooms are a rather tight for space for luggage and or clothes for a week's stay. If we had had the maximum of 10 in the property it would not really have been big enough. The location was great in a pretty village with a part time pub next door. It is on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and close to Conwy & Anglesey with lots to see and do in the area.

Just perfect

We were a party of six adults and two young children celebrating a 70th birthday at Y Gorlan. It was just perfect. The house was very clean, extremely well equipped with a wide range of good quality pots, pans and crockery as well as toiletries and larder items. It is situated in a lovely village close to Conwy and the railway station at Llandudno Junction. The extras like tea bags and dishwasher tablets were much appreciated and we certainly enjoyed the prosecco! We got the impression that the owners really wanted us to be comfortable and enjoy ourselves. Communication was faultless and the Handbook has to be one of the most comprehensive I have ever seen. Thank you very much Annette and Peter.

Superb property in a very attractive location.

Excellent in all respects. We were a family of 7 adults, 2 children 2 teenagers and a dog, enjoyed by all. Very well equipped, lovely large garden.

Snowdon trip

Y Gorlan is a beautiful property in a small and friendly town of Rowen in the Snowdon National Park area. The house is self contained and we got a magnificent host in Annette. If we get a chance we will definitely come back again and highly recommend this for friends or families looking for a nice quiet trip to Northern Wales with beautiful views and walking paths all around you and a cute Pub right next door!

Snowden weekend.

All 4 couple enjoyed our stay here greatly and will return. Beautiful location and great to have lovely gardens too. Pub at the end was a great addition. Perfect for us to have 4 double bedrooms although the triple bedroom is a little on the snug side! Everything you need for a perfect weekend away.

Home away from home

The advice and guidance given to us by Annette before hand was incredibly useful. We explored places we would never have found without this. Aber Falls, the local walks through fields, Conwy Castle, and climbed Snowdon on the miners' track. Such an incredible week - we have truly started the year in the very best way.

Perfect for a family get together

The house was set in a lovely rural village with wrap around gardens that both dogs absolutely loved! It was tastefully furnished and very clean with a generous yummy welcome pack. Annette and Peter were extremely helpful and clearly love being hosts.

Beautiful well equipped house.

Absolutely wonderful for family gatherings with 4 ensuite doubles and a double sofa bed. Everything you could want is there including a kennel for dogs - which we didn’t have but if we had then it was there. A lovely welcome from Annette with flowers, wine and a few basic food essentials.

This is a double fronted house with a through kitchen and dining room to the right and a lounge and separate room at the rear, to the left. The four bedrooms upstairs are doubles with small en-suite. The rear garden is lovely and over the dry stone wall there are sheep in the field, which the kids loved. The house sits in a lovely position and is very accessible. There's no traffic because the road stops about 1.5 miles further on. The pub across the lane is quite, but provides good food and there are several other very good eating establishments within 10-15 minutes. There is also an excellent wine shop in the town down the road, where the local eateries buy their wines from. This is a very safe area and from here there are many interesting places to visit; we didn't see more than 10% of what is available this time. If you like to walk or just take a stroll then, this is about the best there is. I think the whole package is a bit of gem and certainly one of the nicest environments we have holidayed in for some time.

Lovely property for our short family holiday. Everything we needed and more!

The house is set in a nice location, with great views all around. The owners have supplied everything you will ever need. I was very impressed with thier attention to detail. The garden games for the kids, plus family board games, dvds and books. Great information given in the pack about the area and attractions. The fact each room has its own ensuite bathroom is also a big postive as you dont have to fight for a shower in the morning. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit north wales.

wonderful family holiday

Annette and Peter are wonderful hosts, they exceeded expectations at every turn, the house is spotless and in a beautiful location, the hosts were always available when we had any questions, we look forward to returning next year, I would highly recommend anyone (especially suitable for Families) to come here and enjoy the many circular walks and exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside from a perfect Base.
