SPECIAL - 20% Off advertised rate for Last Minute Getaway - JULY 5th to 19th - Villa Cortina is an impressive rural hideaway with stunning panoramic views set in beautiful countryside, well stocked with flowers and shrubs in very large landscaped gardens, including a good-sized pool, putting green and table tennis. It is situated only minutes from the bustling market town of Loule, with tourist attractions, shops/pharmacies etc., and the world famous resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vilamoura with their fabulous sandy beaches. The villa is WiFi enabled and has three double bedrooms, all with superb views, three bathrooms, a large living room, a newly fitted kitchen and a large new flat-screen Panasonic TV. Air-conditioning is included to the bedrooms for comfort. The villa benefits from an alarm system for your peace of mind for when you go exploring the local restaurants and nightlife! The gardens and grounds are maintained to a high standard by our team of gardeners. The ever popular putting green, and table tennis area, amidst hard and soft landscaping, offer entertainment for our active and not so active guests. There is an outside bar adjacent to the putting green which we call 'hole 19' where a cool drink awaits the players. The slight breeze is so nice on a very hot day and the terrace with umbrella provides respite from the midday sun. Time to top up your tan safely! The swallows swoop in low over the pool taking insects in flight and are wonderful to watch during the day. The sparkling lights on the horizon as dusk falls are mesmerising as they flicker and bob in the night air. Cortina is truly a magical escape from the daily routine back home and one we shall continue to enjoy for many more years to come.

Great countryside villa that has a large pool (compared to other villas we have stayed in). Distant views of sea but gorgeous countryside and sunrise views. On large plot with multiple outdoor areas to sit, eat, relax etc. Great to have darts, putting and table tennis available. Fly screens on the patio doors work really well. Good powerful showers. Have stayed previously 10 years ago and the kitchen and bathrooms been updated over that time. Drive to vilamoura about 20 minutes but closer restaurants and facilities inland too. Would recommend if you want a quiet relaxed stay away from the busy resorts. Flexible, friendly owner and only things that could be improved are the bed mattresses - very hard, and the cleaning was a bit hit and miss. Overall a wonderful week away.

Nous avons été émerveillé par cette villa dans tout les domaines. Tout a été pensé pour nous faire vivre des moments inoubliable. L'endroit au calme et paysage verdoyant avec un jardin magnifiquement entretenu avec plusieurs thèmes. L'hote nous a mis a dispositions un document avec des différents activités a faire en famille et en couple en plus de la lecture pour aprendre le portugais. Une belle piscine a la hauteur de l'élégance du lieu. “Fantastic stay in a dream villa in Portugal!”Our stay in this villa was absolutely amazing. The property was spotless upon arrival, very spacious, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. Everything felt well cared for and maintained. The interior radiates comfort and instantly gives you that holiday feeling.Communication with the owner/host was excellent: quick, friendly, and clear. Whenever we had a question, we received an immediate response, making everything run smoothly.The location is perfect for enjoying peace and quiet, yet still close to all amenities and beautiful spots in the area. We instantly felt at home here and enjoyed every moment.In short: an absolute must for anyone looking for a carefree and luxurious holiday in Portugal. We will definitely be back!

Villa Cortina

As a family of 6 we had a fabulous week in Villa Cortina which sits on an enormous plot inland from the coast. The Villa is a great size with a really large comfortable lounge/dining area and a very well equipped kitchen & utility. There are 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom on the first floor with a master bedroom & en suite on the ground floor. There is a third bathroom with shower also on the ground floor. Everything worked so well - the all important Wi-Fi was excellent and the showers were powerful and hot. We enjoyed watching a bit of the Olympics on the tv which has every channel you can think of. The real beauty of the place is the outside space - ping pong, darts (in the outside bar area) and the putting green were great fun. The pool is deep and large. The BBQ was used every night as we ate under the stars. There are loads of supermarkets nearby and Loulé is a lovely little town to visit. The coastline is a little over-developed in places but there are some beautiful little beaches to be found. A Car is absolutely essential. The villa is away from everything and the perfect place to chill out in the sun.

Magnifique séjour en Algarve

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à la villa Cortina . Tout était parfait. La maison , la piscine , le jardin . Endroit très calme et très bien situé pour visiter l’Algarve. Les petits plus de cette maison la climatisation dans les chambres , les moustiquaires, notre hôte a plein de petites attentions ( serviette de plage, conseil resto,…) très bonne communication et la maison a tout le confort. Nous recommandons à 100%

Relax

The house is nestled along a hill and offers incredible views and beautiful silence. The pool was perfect and the extras (table tennis & putting green) kept our child busy. The kitchen was well equipped. In addition the home was close to the beach and other activities. The communication with David and Bill were impeccable. Thank you for providing the ultimate relaxation experience!

Vacances de rêve à Picota

Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique dans cette magnifique villa de Picota dans un décor enchanteur: le jardin d’arbres fruitiers, la vue sur les montagnes, les multiples terrasses nous ont ravis. Les lits sont très confortables, la cuisine est très bien équipée et nous a permis de cuisiner de .bons petits plats dégustés sur la terrasse de la piscine en admirant la vue champêtre. Les lieux sont d’une propreté impeccable. Le seul hic, c’est la route en colimaçon pour se rendre à la villa située en haut des montagnes mais ce petit désagrément est vite oublié tant la vue est magnifique.😁Carole

Wunderschönes Haus

Das Haus war wunderschön und auch die Außenanlagen schön, sehr groß und gepflegt. Die Anlage bietet Tischtennis, Darts und Minigolf. Es ist alles da was man braucht. Bill und seine Frau sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereite Menschen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind schnell mit dem Auto erreichbar- ein Mietwagen für die Aufenthaltsdauer ist allerdings zu empfehlen. Falls das Wetter am Haus mal nicht so gut sein sollte, lohnt sich eine Fahrt zu den nächstgelegenen Stränden. Wir konnten es nie glauben, aber dort war strahlend blauer Himmel und keine Wolke.

Hillside heaven

Loved our stay here, beautiful views and breeze in the hills above the algarve coast. Very peaceful spot and vast plot of land with plentiful seating and dining areas. Close to Loule which has a fab market and some excellent local restaurants. Bathrooms and kitchen were particularly new and modern. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent Villa for family holiday

We had a fabulous week at Villa Cortina. The pool was just perfect for the 6 of us and the surrounding grounds of the Villa are huge. Plenty of room for sporting activities including the putting green and table tennis already there. The Villa is really comfortable and provides everything you need for a perfect family holiday. We would definitely recommend Villa Cortina!

Sehr schöne Villa mit tollem Aussenbereich und Pool

Insgesamt eine tolle Location, welche viel Platz bietet. Drei schöne Badezimmer, große Küche, Schlafzimmer alle mit Klimaanlage. Der Pool / Aussenbereich ist riesig und wirklich schön angelegt. Einzige Schwierigkeit war das Finden des Objekts - kein Navigationssystem kann dies mittels der Adresse finden. Mit der vorab gelieferten Wegbeschreibung gehts, ich würde aber dem Vermieter raten, die genauen GPS-Daten der Location mitzuteilen, um die Suche zu vereinfachen. Ohne Mietauto ist man auf verlorenem Posten, da die Villa relativ abgelegen ist. Insgesamt aber sehr empfehlenswert, wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen.

Relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings.

We had a lovely 2 weeks at Villa Cortina. The property was very clean and well equipped. It was lovely having the maid come and change the bedding during our stay. The gardens have many different places to sit and enjoy the view. Communication with the owner was excellent. We would definitely return.

Villa is beautiful, everything that you would ever need. Perfect in every way.

Excellent communication with the owner. We took two small dogs and a teenage. Beautiful location, no neighbours near by. Nothing to complain about at all. Will definitely return. 😊

Summer 2020 Getaway

We stayed at the villa for five weeks during summer 2020 and it was a great stay. David was very helpful with the coronavirus travel uncertainty. The villa was spacious with a beautiful garden in a tranquil countryside location - and the kids loved the pool!

We are Rosemary and David who fell in love with Villa Cortina 20 years ago. We live in Surrey and work full time in the hospitality industry, in two private members' clubs, which we enjoy immensely. We grew up in the south of England and have always enjoyed spending time near the coast. Rosemary's parents operated a hotel in Charmouth in Dorset, in the heart of the Jurassic coastline, whilst I spent every holiday with my parents in a caravan on Hayling Island. We also let out a holiday home in Charmouth which sleeps 9 and is only 7 minutes walk from the beach. It is great fun for children to explore as it is a Regency property laid out over 7 floors. Our two cocker spaniels love running on the beach and frolicking in the water.

The picture shows the two of us celebrating Rosemary's 60th birthday in 2016. We invited friends from our village in England and we held two parties over a weekend, the first at a restaurant on the beach on the Saturday and the second at the villa on the Sunday. This is such a special place for us as it holds so many memories of the good times we have had at Cortina. Rosemary knew that this was where she wanted to have her special birthday party. We had a band and fireworks and we even performed a play which I wrote especially, charting the story of Rosemary's career in hospitality. Family and friends shared in this memorable occasion. So much fun!

We come to Portugal regularly and combine holiday with thoughtful enhancements to the facilities. In 2016, we installed a brand new kitchen and refurbished a shower room. The gardens and grounds are maintained to a high standard by our team of gardeners. The ever popular putting green, and table tennis area, amidst hard and soft landscaping, offer entertainment for our active and not so active guests. There is an outside bar adjacent to the putting green which we call 'hole 19' where a cool drink awaits the players. The setting is fabulous and the views spectacular. We meander through our well-stocked and flourishing gardens that our comprehensive irrigation system keeps looking good all summer long. The slight breeze is so nice on a very hot day and the terrace with umbrella provides respite from the midday sun. Time to top up your tan safely! The swallows swoop in low over the pool taking insects in flight and are wonderful to watch during the day. The sparkling lights on the horizon as dusk falls are mesmerising as they flicker and bob in the night air.
