Welcome to Villa Tropical Orchid, a serene escape perfect for a couple or single traveler. This exquisite, top floor villa, vaulted ceilings is a one bedroom/one bathroom with shower.

Therapeutic Spa / Hot Tub magical moments for your mind and body. Sink into the hot tub after a fun day at the ocean, hiking and make a toast to the sunset. Spectacular ocean views from the Hot Tub.

The bedroom is appointed with a hand-carved mahogany, queen, four poster bed, with a vanity sink, seating area and direct access to the veranda. The living area offers a comfortable seating area, and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. If desired there is air conditioning. However, the trade winds offer an airy, cool breeze if you prefer not to use the air conditioning.

I live on site and I will arrange a MASSAGE on your veranda overlooking the Ocean.
A BOAT TRIP, FISHING TRIP, SNORKEL TRIP, PRIVATE SNORKEL LESSONS,
A DAY OF GOLF, JET SKIES, BEST DINNING ON THE ISLAND.
HORSEBACK RIDING ON THE OCEAN and UP INTO THE MOUNTAINS OF ST JOHN.

Villa Tropical Orchid has a veranda that overlooks the hills with spectacular ocean views facing South towards Great Cruz Bay,Saint Croix, the islands of Frenchman's Cap. In addition, there is a private patio with a BBQ Grill located off the kitchen.

I have provided for you: Beach towels, Beach Chairs, cooler, float noodles, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

After a day at the beach and exploring the island, sit back, enjoy your favorite beverage and breathe in the sights of the ocean from your private patio.

This Villa is for two adults only, not appropriate for children. This is a non-smoking facility.

We are located only 1.2 miles from the town of Cruz Bay and minutes away to the breathtaking North Shore beaches.

St. John is known for the 4-wheel drive Jeeps. We drive on the LEFT and fun driving up and down roads, around curves at slow speeds of 20 to 30 miles per hour. Getting to your villa is easy with paved roads and the private off-street parking access is flat terrain.

If you prefer to not rent a car, taxi's are ready at the ferry dock to take you up the hill to your Villa. Travel by taxi is easy once on the island, no need to rent a car. Telephone numbers of taxi drivers are posted in your studio. Beautiful beaches are easy to access and within minutes from your Villa.

The closest beaches and ocean front dining is a short drive down the hill to Cruz Bay.

Jacqueline was a wonderful host! The views from her property were spectacular! Beautiful sunsets, moon risings and ocean views. We stayed 2 weeks. Well worth it. We toasted birthday, anniversary and new year with her, Carl and Jean, her assistants.

Our trip to Tropical Orchid St. John was fabulous. Exactly what we needed. Jacqueline, our host was terrific. She met us at the car rental and showed us to the house. Explained everything about the home to us and was always available if we needed anything. The views were amazing, the sugar birds came to the porch feeder every morning, the Hot tub was awesome. Fabulous trip, cannot wait to go back !!

Cute Villa with a direct view of Great Cruz Bay

Host was very nice and helpful. Patio has a nice view of the bay and valley. We had breakfast on the patio several days. Beach towels, chairs, and small cooler made beach trips easy.

Gorgeous views, comfortable stay

The cozy villa sits high above Great Cruz Bay with stunning views. We prepared breakfasts and lunches in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed sitting on the porch overlooking the bay, welcoming occasional visits from hummingbirds and bananaquits. Host communicated well and was available for inside information about the island.

A little piece of paradise

Perfect place for 2 on the beautification tiful island of St John! Great view from balcony! Everything went seamless from the booking to the check out! The owner was great to work with! Would definitely book again!

Last minute getaway

My wife and I booked a last minute trip to St. John. Jacqueline and her daughter were extremely helpful and welcoming hosts that were always available to answer questions about the property or the island itself. Property has a great view and location about a half mile up Centerline Road from the town of Cruz Bay. Great property and location for any couple looking for a quiet getaway to paradise.

Guests left our villa clean and set all linens aside for me to wash. For many years I have had guests tell me this villa created a space in their healing time. When looking out over the ocean and down to the bays thoughts lifted. It is time to put toes in the sand. Enjoy

Monetta was a great resource for the property details, island outings, dinning suggestions and more. She met us at the car ferry so we could follow her to the villa. Balcony views from the rental were oustanding, proximity to Cruz Bay was really nice, but far enough away to be very peaceful. 100% recommended!

Wonderful hostess and gorgeous views

This is a beautiful and well located property if you want to be near Cruz Bay but away from the bustle. The views and cross breezes are stunning. Jackie is a superb host who is super knowledgeable. The property has several apartments in the complex and we stayed in her original home. Each is well maintained and private. Everything is easy access. Perfect for a couple on holiday. Thanks so much Jackie for sharing your home with us.

Best Value on St John

My wife and I just stayed here for eight days. 'Just for 2' has all anyone could ask for when staying on St John: awesome view of Great Cruz Bay, comfortable Caribbean furnishings, complete kitchen, incredible & beautiful landscaping, attentive landlord, convenient location to Centerline and Southside Road and more. Ideal for honeymooners and couples of all ages. We will definitely be back. Thanks JP! PS; We recommend Skinny Legs, Woody's Seafood, Lime Inn, Spyglass for very good and affordable drinks & meals. For snorkeling check out Hansen, Francis, Jumbie and Leinster Bays. Be on the lookout for deer, donkeys, land & sea turtles, goats, chickens and more.

Perfect Anniversary Getaway

For us it was the perfect spot to stay why we explored St. John everyday. We didn't spend much time in the room so we werent looking for much as far as room accomodations. The view is amazing (only drawback is it faces due south so you dont catch any sunrises or sunsets) and the bed was comfortable. If we were spending any real time in the room I would have wanted a little more for the comfort factor but thats not what we were there for. Host is a very sweet woman who will be more than helpful for anything you need. Also since no one told us... dont book a ferry in advance! That just locks you into a certain company which may not be the next to depart when you arrive. Even if you do book in advance, its still first come first served regardless of your reservation time. Also.... buy your groceries in St. Thomas BEFORE you come over to St. John. The prices and selection will far outweigh what you can get in St. John. Despite being right jext to the hosts house, it still felt very private. Host provided many basic things like towels, toiletries, beach gear....etc. which was really nice. She even got us gift certificates to a local spot for our anniversary which was really sweet and thoughtful.

Beautiful views in ideal location

We loved our stay at Villa Tropical Orchid. The Villa is located in the hills above Cruz Bay so we enjoyed spectacular views in a peaceful private setting, yet just a few minutes drive to downtown Cruz Bay for restaurants , bars, shops, etc. A great location and easy to see the love that Jacqueline, the owner puts into her home and how she prides herself in making the experience a great one for her guests - including fresh flowers to welcome us. Nice touch. We especially loved relaxing on the deck while being entertained by the many pretty birds, and absorbing the views of Great Cruise Bay and beyond. Just lovely.The Villa has ample dressers and storage space to really settle in and feel at home, and importantly for me, good lighting for bedside reading. My husband had a little trouble with the TV, but we weren't there to watch TV! We would stay there again.

This is the perfect villa for St John. We loved everything about it. The views from the deck and hot tub are incredible We loved having our morning coffee on the deck and a glass of wine at night in the jacuzzi. The villa is cozy, clean and has everything you need. Jackie, the owner was wonderful. She provided us with information in advance of our stay and was available if we needed anything while we were there. We are definitely coming back!

I fell in love with St John, the gem of the islands. For many years, our summer home was on Madeline Island in Wisconsin on Lake Superior. St. John became the perfect island winter home for us. We filled our days with beach-combing, snorkeling, hiking the National Park trails and learning the island history. Building our home here was a big adventure. I have completed the dream and I want to share it with you.

This island is now my permanent home. For 28 years and I have had the honor to host guests for many of these years. I love to hear their stories and share mine.

Close to the town of Cruz Bay and a short drive to the most beautiful beaches in the world. Grocery stores, restaurants and take-out food are available only a few minutes away. We look forward to hosting you on St. John, the Gem of the Caribbean!
