Poolside villa with a view among ancient olive trees

Casa dei Venti is a countryside villa, built on an airy rise in Serranova - Carovigno, on the edge of the natural park of Torre Guaceto and minutes away from its beaches, awarded with the 2021 Blue Flag.

From here, most of Salento can be rapidly accessed, be it the white city of Ostuni or the baroc town of Lecce and so on.

The property is inside the area of monumental olive trees and alongside the bike track that crosses the most beautiful sites of the area.

The house is built with traditional local materials and respecting the nature of the area. All parts of the building offer a stunning view of the coast and of the saracen lighthouse of Torre Guaceto

Casa dei Venti sits prominently on a bluff looking out over the protected area of Torre Guaceto and its lighttower. Inspired by the Coromandel Bach House of Crosson Clarke Carnachan, the vacation home was conceived as a simple veranda with rooms.

Two large doors on either side can slide away to open the home and provide a direct connection to the outdoors.
Built from unadorned local stone, Casa dei Venti is also an exploration of traditional local construction techniques and use of renewable resources.

The wide living room with a kitchen island becomes a veranda and opens on the swimming pool (4x12m, h 1.30) through a retractable glass wall.

At the far end of the swimming pool an unshaded solarium area

Two bedroms with ensuite bathrooms with shower - one fitted with a king size bed and the other one can be fitted either with a king size or two single beds.
A third bathroom with shower is accessible from the garden and serves the swimming pool area

A car is needed to reach casa dei venti. The last 300 metres of the road must be driven very slowly not to disturb local nature and because of the somewhat bumpy road. The nearest small grocery shop is a couple of kilometers away, the next villages with all facilities ( San Vito dei Normanni o Carovigno) are respectively 7 and 10 Km away. The beaches of Torre Guaceto are 4 Km away, the small harbour of Specchiolla and some small facilities is some 7 Km away. A large shopping mall in Brindisi is less than 30 Km away.
The garden around the house and the whole property has steps and stones, toddler and small children ought to be looked after. The property is only partly fenced with the tipical local stone walls, hence we don’t recommend you take your pets with you
