Beautiful unit - clean and comfortable. There is garage parking which was nice and the car was kept cool in there. The beach is gorgeous and the sand is like powdered sugar - super white and fluffy. Water was crystal clear. The view from the balcony was amazing especially when we could see pods of dolphins swimming by. We loved waking up and seeing the ocean right outside our bedroom window. One thing we didn't realize was that if you want an umbrella on the beach, you need to rent from the resort (you cannot use your own umbrella on their private beach)- this is 80/day for an umbrella and 2 chairs - it was fine but not an expense we were planning on. The unit has some beach chairs but no cart so taking all the chairs down with bags, towels etc wasn't feasible so we opted to just rent - it was nice and convenient. We'd stay here again for sure and I'd recommend to family and friends.

The perfection of this condo and the resort for our family of 4…well I will try to put into words! The pictures of this condo and resort sold us, but they don’t even do it justice! It’s way better in real life than in the pictures if you can believe it! The condo was perfectly clean, all beds incredibly comfortable, showers are big and clean and the condo has every thing you would need that you may have forgotten! The resort itself, top notch. We took advantage of all the amenities from the gym to pickle ball, tennis and basketball. The beach was never crowded, the pool was busy but never felt crowded. The groundskeepers worked hard every morning and the pool was always so clean. We walked to the Back Porch for dinner and was so nice, got amazing ice cream at Candymaker next door on our walk home. We were grateful for the extra beach chairs and all the cool toys the unit offered for the beach! We were grateful for everything this unit offered and this is the only place we would want to stay again when we return! The semi private elevators were so nice and never an issue with waiting! LOVED this unit and the Emerald Coast.

Family Beach Vacation

We had a wonderful time at this condo! It is a great location and they keep the pool area nice and clean. The view was absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed walking the resort grounds and lounging by the pool. Overall was a great stay!

Awesome condo and resort

We had a great time in Destin! The condo was well equipped especially the kitchen. We enjoyed the balcony and the pool the most. The gym and pickleball courts were amazing. The amenities were top notch! It was nice having a parking spot too in the garage. It was a little bit of a tight fit for our minivan but thankfully no one was in the parking spot next to us. It was nice to launder our beach towels also! All the grocery stores and big-box stores are close. The beach chairs were a nice bonus and plenty of beach toys for kiddos. We did rent an umbrella which was 35 a day on the beach. No outside umbrellas allowed.

Just perfect

We stayed before the summer season got busy so it was a lovely and quiet overall. Just a wonderful property - both condo and resort. Perfect for our family of 5. The closet in the master has room for the pack n play, the master bed was so comfortable, the closeness to restaurants and the candy store - all made for a wonderful trip!

Resort experience

Beautiful and well kept pool area. Monitors at pool kept things safe and family friendly (settled down rowdy teens and 20s). Great beach area. The Sand Bar was a great surprise with libations and live misic on some nights. Close to good food, shopping and and grocery.

Our first family trip to Florida

The condo was nice and welcoming. Offered all the essentials we needed to make our stay comfortable. The view of the resort and ocean were amazing. The resort offered everything we needed and we didn’t need to go far to keep ourselves entertained. It was a great first trip to Florida for our family!

Wonderful Accommodations!

We loved staying here! It was the perfect location for our young family, as we had easy access to the beach and heated pool. The property is beautiful and has all the amenities needed for a perfect beach vacation!

Vaca in Destin

This was our first vacation in Destin. The condo at Silver Shells was just beautiful. It was immaculate and well kept. The listing and pictures are spot on. Lovely pool area and direct beachfront. Would definitely book again.

The property is gorgeous and an easy place to stay. Please know you must call the owner ahead of your visit, as he doesn’t communicate through the VRBO site. He is super friendly and helpful and will answer all of your questions. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

The condo was beautiful very good location only couple of things, no ice don’t know if ice maker is non functional or just not hooked up and jacuzzi tub was not functional other than that everything’s good

Gorgeous views from every room!

This was our 2nd stay at this condo and we love it! The views from both bedrooms and the living room are breathtaking. Location of condo is great. Pool is top notch. Condo is clean and comfortable and has everything you need including beach chairs. You may need to call Frank on his cell, as I dont' think he always sees the messages on the VRBO app. But once in touch with him via phone, he is very helpful. We have booked Labor Day weekend the past 2 years and were hoping to keep up our tradition for next year, but were disappointed to see we can only book by the week now. Otherwise we would have already booked for next year!

PERFECT VACATION

My husband and I spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed it! Beautiful beach, pool, and home. You could cook a meal and not need anything as far as dishes and cookware. We are Geneva and Frank Barnhill. We have been married 55 years, and live in Dunwoody, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. We have been in the Jewelry Business for 56 years.

We have owned condos in Destin for more than 36 years, and at Silver Shells since 2002. We call it our HOME AWAY FROM HOME.

We visited Destin about 36 years ago and discovered it's beautiful beach, friendly people and many wonderful restaurants. In 2002 we stopped at Silver Shells for lunch, took one look at the view from our 8th floor condo, and bought it immediately. Silver Shells is an Upscale, Gated, Family oriented Beach Resort. It was the best family decision we have ever made.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

For us it is the Relaxation, walking on the beautiful beach, Spa, and the many wonderful restaurants we have discovered in Destin. We also enjoy breakfast, lunch and cocktails with a spectacular view from our balcony. Our children and grandchildren love the Beach, huge Pool, Playground and the many things to do at Silver Shells and in Destin.
