Villa Eva N 1, is located in the fishing village of Gournes, between Heraklion and Hersonissos, 15 kilometers from Heraklion airport, 50 meters from the sandy beach and next to the Crete Aquarium, in a very quite area, ideal for small families or couples who wants to spent their holidays by the sea, with 1 bedroom, 1bathroom, living/dining room, kitchen, BBQ, wooden oven, 2 verandas, 500 bio garden. Air-condition is available free of charge. A beautiful fire stove will keep you warm at winter nights. Can accomodate up to 3 persons. Both terraces and garden overlooking the sea. There is private parking space. Situated only 500m from the high way and yet, next to the beach. Ideal for families, or couples who want to enjoy their holidays by the sea. Easy access to high way, close to amenities.The location of the villa is ideal for exploring Crete, or visiting Greek islands like Santorini. Local cuisine, with different dishes every day at the taverns, walking distance from the villa. Super market nearby. Close to antiquities. Water park with many different slides is 5 Kms away, ideal days out with children. Crete Aquarium, one of the biggest building complexes in the Mediterranean, is 200 meters away for those who adore marine world and want to explore more than 2500 individuals of fish and invertebrates. Bike or car rental companies are also close by.

Nice quiet area extremely close to a very nice beach and near many restaurants and attractions. Short drive to Heraklion. The unit was clean and had everything required for a pleasant stay. The patios on the east and west side were a bonus. Owner was available to be reached at all times if necessary. Would recommend a stay here.

Hidden gem in Gournes

Great place for a couple wanting to relax and enjoy the near by beach❣️The one bedroom apartment is ideal. It has everything a couple will need. George is very kind and provided us upon our arrival some goodies in our fridge❣️We rented a car and enjoyed driving around near and far to beautiful beaches❣️Definitely will return to this hidden gem💞

We were warmly welcomed. Short walk to the beach. We had a rental car which was conveniently parked at the unit. There was a sea view and a mountain view from the two outdoor seating areas. Would recommend this villa

Very comfy

We stayed for 5 nights and had a very relaxing time. Close to Heraklion and Knossos. Good restaurants walking distance, especially Ambrosia where we had dinner 3 of the nights. A trip to Matala on the south shore was a highlight. No lift but stairs are doable.

Not easy to find on arrival, but near the beach, the sea and the aquarium. Walking distance to restaurants. The hosts were welcoming and gave us pointers for places to visit during our one-week stay. The beach itself is well-protected from the winds and beaches in Eastern Crete are also recommended on windy days. Our favorite restaurant was Ambrosia.

Schöne Wohnung, Umgebung geht so

Sehr netter und zuvorkommender Vermieter, die Wohnung ist auch gut ausgestattet. Die große Terrasse ist super. Der Ausblick aufs Meer ist schön, auf die Landschaft jedoch nicht so, das ein oder andere Grundstück hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen.

Beautiful penthouse apartment

We spent one week in Villa Eva and really enjoyed our time there. Out host Georgios had prepared a very cordial reception, the fridge contained some food for the first day, there was also fresh fruit, bread, some wine, Raki and Limoncello! The apartment was in excellent shape, clean and very comfortable. During our stay Georgios surprised us with homemade cake, with Cretean delis and exceptional hospitality . The nearby restaurants served great Greek food and the beaches were not too crowded - all in all a great vacation! When we will come back to Crete, Villa Eva will be our choice!

Amazing stay in Crete

Extremly clean, spotless! The owners were so charming and welcoming. They brought us a fruit basket and delicious homemade foods. My husband and myself were there for a week in the middle of July. It was near a little beach and beautiful town. Would definitely go back.

Amazing Greek Hospitality!

This place is just as advertised. Spotlessly clean with plenty of room to relax in. The front balcony has an ocean view. The back terrace is quite large and has a view of the mountains. There is a nice little beach just a short walk away. Also, there is a little beach town within walking distance. We had dinner overlooking the ocean from a small Greek Taverna. Our host and hostess were fabulous. They provided homebaked goods as well as fresh fruit, etc. We had so much that we never needed to go out for breakfast. That was a very nice touch. There is also a washing machine which came in handy as we were out of clean clothes when we arrived! We rented a car as we wanted the flexibility. Gournes is in between Rethymnon on the West side of the island and Agios Nikoloas. Both were within easy driving distance from Gournes. We wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to return soon!

Oase der Ruhe mit herzlichen Gastgebern

Das Objekt ist zauberhaft und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es ist mehr als alles vorhanden, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt. Wir fühlten uns "zu Hause". Sogar das Waschmittel, die Handtücher, etwas Kaffee für die erste Zeit wurden zur Verfügung gestellt. Am Ankunftsabend wurden wir mit selbstgebackenen Köstlichkeiten, Obst und Getränken überrascht. Auch zwischendurch gab es kleine Leckereien, die mit viel Liebe zubereitet wurden. Als I-Tüpfelchen wurden wir zum Flughafen gefahren. Eine Gastfreundschaft dieser Art ist uns bis jetzt bei noch keiner/m Ferienwohnung/-haus entgegen gebracht worden. Hervorragend und ein Dankeschön in die wunderbare Villa Eva nach Gournes! Vor Ort kann man mit Mietwagen, aber auch problemlos mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln die Region erkunden. Wir waren 10 Tage vor Ort und haben mit dem öffentlichen Bus täglich neue Sehenswürdigkeiten in Knossos, Heraklion, Piskopiano, Hersonissos, Malia, Napolis besucht. Eine Bäckerei und ein kleiner Supermarkt, der alles hat, sind fußläufig in 15 Minuten zu erreichen.

A lovely, clean, well presented apartment, enjoying views of the mountains and the sea.

After a short taxi ride we arrived at Villa Eva. The building is very well presented. We were taken to the room by the owner and shown the amenities. A very nice touch from the owners on arrival was the huge plate of fruit, wine and Greek food. Being on the top floor gives you a lovely balcony to the front with a table and chairs and views overlooking the sea. To the rear is a terrace with chairs and sun loungers and views looking to the mountains. We hired a scooter to enable us to get around more easily and to see more of the island. We would advise anyone coming here to hire transport as it is a little out of the way. The owners are friendly and very helpful. We were taken to the supermarket, treated to food and even dropped off at the airport when leaving. All in all we would highly recommend Villa Eva and we thank the owners for their hospitality.

Schöne Tage in Gournes

Wir haben drei Wochen in Gournes verbracht. Die Wohnung liegt im ersten Stock und ist perfekt ausgerüstet. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und überraschten und immer wieder mit kleinen, sehr guten Köstlichkeiten. Die Vermieter konnten uns viele wertvolle Hinweise zur Inselerkundung, Ausflügen, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten geben. Wir können die Wohnung empfehlen.

Great holiday location

We greatly enjoyed our stay in Villa Eva 1. It is well located, near a good and uncrowded beach and several restaurants. The apartment was very well appointed, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Eva and her husband could not have been more welcoming, with an initial tour of the area (very helpful), then providing generous hospitality with several excellent home-cooked snacks during our stay.

Sehr schöne Wohnung. Alles sauber. Die Vermieter sehr nett. Immer zu erreichen, da sie mit ihm Haus wohnen. Es gab zwischendurch kleine Aufmerksamkeiten in Form von selbsgebackenen Köstlichkeiten. Einziger Störfaktor: Fluglärm. Aber zu erwarten, da der Flughafen sehr nah ist . Alles in allem ein schöner und angenehmer Aufenthalt 😍

Schöne, moderne Ferienwohnung mit sehr netten Vermietern

Wirklich sehr schöne, hochwertige Wohnung in Strandnähe und außerordentlich freundlichen Vermietern. Wir wurden gleich zu Beginn mit Wein und regionalen Köstlichkeiten begrüßt und immer mal wieder mit weiteren "versorgt". Sehr ruhige Wohnlage.

Toller Familienurlaub

Wir haben einen tollen Urlaub hier verbracht. Die Ferienwohnung ist modern eingerichtet, sehr sauber, der Strand ist in Sichtweite. Besonders schön ist die große Dachterrasse. Mit dem regulären Linienbus haben wir schöne Ausflüge nach Heraklion, Agios Nikolaos, Knossos und Rethymno unternommen. Sehr gutes griechisches Essen gibt's in der Taverne Ambrosia. Für Kinder sehr empfehlenswert ist das von der Ferienwohnung fußläufig erreichbare Meeresaquarium. Besonders erwähnenswert ist die herzliche familiäre Atmosphäre. Eva hat uns leckere griechische Spezialitäten gebacken. Eva und Georgios haben uns dann am Abreisetag direkt zum Flughafen gefahren - vielen Dank für die super Betreuung.

Perfektes Domizil

Die Wohnung übertraf unseren Erwartungen. Sie ist sehr modern und zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Besonders ist der Komfort und die Sauberkeit hervorzuheben. Die Angaben und Bilder entsprechen der Realität. Ein ganz besonderer Dank gilt den Besitzern Eva und Georgios, beide sind extrem zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Auch haben und die Leckereien von Eva uns immer erfreut. 10 Days on the wonderful Island of Crete enhanced by our living experience.

There are not enough adjectives to describe the absolutely fabulous experience we have staying at Eya Villa 1. From the minute we were collected by Georgious and Natasha and meeting the most exquisite lady Eva, who we found out to be the epitome of a woman of Crete just wanting to ensure that all was well and provided almost everyday samples of traditional Cretan food and drink absolutely fabulous. The kindness and hospitality was exceptional and helped to make our first experience of Crete most enjoyable. As for the accommodation believe everything it says on the site five star rating all round. Will we be back? you better believe it wild horses couldn’t stop us. Efharista Eva, Georgious and Natasha.

Expectations exceeded - a perfect place to de-stress

To be embarrassingly honest, there is nothing critical to be mentioned in our review. From the helpful advise for local car rental, groceries, restaurant, beaches up to providing local specilities in the fridge upon arrival. My wife and I were very satisfied with the amenities. Top quality -we felt like this has been made especially for us to move in. The hosts were always available and answered every question. We will recommend to friends. Lastly the location is perfect to discover the huge island in every direction.

Better even than advertised with hosts you would like to join your family

If, like me, you are looking for comfort, convenience and location look no further. Ten minutes walk to public transit into Heraklion, two minutes walk to a quiet beach, one minute walk to a discount car rental agency to gain access to anywhere on Crete whenever you want to go and good food again within easy walking. There is of course parking if you have a car longer term. All this without having to actually stay in Heraklion. Eva and Giorgio are treasures. You should stay here. I will be back and will bring family. I need also to note that the apartment is brand new, thoughtfully designed and s pleasure to come home to.

Ruhiger Vorort von Heraklion

Neues Haus mit guter, moderner Ausstattung. Die Terrassen sind groß und bieten gemütliche Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Am wenig touristischen 50m entfernten flach abfallenden Sandstrand verbringen viele Griechen ihre Zeit. Das Vermieterpaar ist sehr nett und überrascht mit leckeren Desserts. Danke Sehr:)
