"Welcome to Romar House in stunning Orange Beach, Alabama! Nestled within an exclusive gated complex, this property offers a prime location close to all the wonderful attractions in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.

Inside, you'll discover a spacious floor plan with three generously sized bedrooms, a delightful balcony that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico, and ample seating and dining space for the whole family. Recently renovated in November 2021, the property boasts upgrades, including granite countertops, new living room and bar furniture, refreshed mattresses and bedding in both guest rooms, new lighting, and a 55" TV.

Please note: any reservations made prior to October 1st for the Winter Season (January and February) require a 60-day (two-month) minimum. Reservations not meeting this criteria may face cancellation by management. After October 1st, reservations can be made for the winter months, with a minimum stay of three or seven nights based on unit specifications.

PARKING: You may purchase 2 parking passes for this property

Additional Information:
Parking Passes are required; the first one is included in the reservation. An additional parking pass costs $60. Linens are provided, but please bring your own beach towels. The reservation includes a 'starter set' consisting of hand soap, 1 roll of toilet tissue per bathroom, 1 trash bag per trash can, and 1 roll of paper towels.

Policies:
​​​​​​​ Renters must be at least 25 years of age or older and provide a Photo ID at check-in. No Smoking is allowed. Dogs are welcome with a $225 non-refundable pet fee per pet, with a maximum of 2 dogs allowed.

The property is very nice. The unit 903a was also nice. I would recommend that the floor be power washed. Our feet were black just walking across it. Although functional, it can use some TLC- doors where the wood is split at the bottom - and updating especially the bathrooms.

The property itself was wonderful and I’d actually love to stay again in the same condo! My only comment would be that the condo itself is showing its age. Some things are broken and old looking. But it’s a great area with a beautiful view and a wonderful space for a large family!

Property was on terrible condition. Housekeeper was still working on cleaning when we arrived, despite it being in the check on window and being told it was ready. There were multiple areas of mold in showers. Drawer pulls missing. Could not operate ceiling fan without light in one room. air vents had visible caked dust. There were hairballs along the running tracks to sliding doors.. There were multiple areas of paint peeling, would stripped off doors. Kitchen was very poorly stocked with even basic cooking supplies such as pots and pans. There was what looked to be bat or mouse poop all over the patio. And this morning there was a leak on the kitchen ceiling. Very disappointing. This unit is not worth the money. Will have to consider staying at Romar Hoise again Im the future.

Needing TLC

Location superseded any complaints. The unit is overall very spacious and great for a family. Updated floors and kitchen surfaces are nice. However, the bathrooms are old, small and need updating. Mildew in master shower and what appears to be painted over mold or mildew in both bathrooms (ceilings). I’ll stay elsewhere next time simply for the bathrooms.

Great time had by all!

We had an amazing time at our stay at Romar House in OB! The unit was more spacious than others 8 have visited, well stocked with all essentials, beautiful view, and comfortable beds. We had so much fun and will definitely go back again and request this unit.

If you care at all about cleanliness, don’t stay here.

We had lots of issues. The WiFi wasnt working and we spent 30 minutes on the phone with the service company locating routers and troubleshooting. Then we realized that none of the televisions were working. We were on the phone again for thirty minutes and had to move furniture, plug and unplug cords and test out circuit breakers, resetting and waiting on the phone with the company for a long time for each tv. In this process we found old food, food wrappers, empty bottles and other trash behind almost every piece of furniture. The windows were so dirty it was hard to see out and the floors were sandy. There were wads of hair in the tub drains. We called the house keeping company. They sent out a person who used a translator app asking me to pinpoint exactly where she needed to reclean. She was terrified of our harmless 15 pound dog and was so rattled, we just told her to leave prior to finishing. The whole place is in need of a deep clean. There are dirty handprints on the walls, the master bedroom door was so dirty and sticky. The pillow cases had make up on them. There was one bottle of hand soap in the whole unit and it barely had any product in it. We tried to use the gym and had to call for an updated gym code because the information in our packet was wrong. The vents in the bathroom were clogged with dust. While the unit is spacious and convenient, to say our experience was disappointing is an understatement.

Kitchen and master bath

The Kitchen was not stocked well at all! Pots and pans old coated cookware was to scratched so I wouldn’t use them. Also master bath shower mold and mildew on tiles. Needs a good cleaning!!! Unit is not kept up well. As a past owner in this building at Romar House I was shocked to pay this amount for a unit needing this much work.

Internet problems

Had issues with the internet and cable. A technician came to the unit and did a temporary fix so we could have access to the internet. Needs to be fixed correctly!! Lots of rules!!

Great area..beautiful beach...beaches are not pet friendly :(

it was very spacious and the beach is beautiful. enjoyed being able to walk across to the Live Bait restaurant, that has kareoke. The Gulf restaurant just a short drive down the road was our favorite place to eat, and was pet friendly. The only reason i gave 4 stars overall, is because i was not aware that the beach isnt pet friendly, even though the condo was. that should be stated somewhere in the property/area info before booking. Would stay again, if we didnt have a pet with us, as the beach is beautiful.

4th of July vacay

We enjoyed the pet friendly condo and pet grounds. The pool is great,being shaded a lot and the covered island for sitting. The other pool/lap pool is never crowded. We will stay there again.

Our visit

It is pretty outdated and bathrooms need some repairs on ceilings and doors are all beat up on the bottom. Kitchen needs more supplies...blender etc

In Need of Repairs!

This was a pet friendly VRBO which we needed. Needless to say the floors needed mopping and several kitchen drawers were not working and needed knobs replaced. Our shower in the master bathroom had mildew and mold throughout, thankful I found cleaning supplies and sprayed the shower . This facility needs updating and a new cleaning company. Would not rent again!

First time at Romar House Condos, Orange Beach

Condo was just like the photos. on VRBO. Very convenient location for us (since we go to restaurants faithfully from Perdido Key to Gulf Shores). Beautiful beach, and just steps from the condo buildings. First time we have seen Romar House condos. Haven't had them pop up before on VRBO as pet friendly.

So disappointed

When we first arrived, we were locked out of the balcony. 😡 Turns out they were replacing all of the outside rails. Still not sure why we were locked out, because they came the next morning, blew off the balcony and removed the 2x4s that had us locked out. While I have no problem with ongoing maintenance, the fact that they started at 8:00 a.m. with the loudest noise was AWFUL and it was EVERY DAY we were there. Overall, the condo was fine but needs updating in master bathroom. The layout worked well for our group. Loved that it is pet friendly too. Didn’t stay much poolside due to the noise. Was not impressed with the lady I spoke with at the office on property either. She was extremely rude and abrupt and she definitely needs a lesson in Customer service!! Outside of the noise and maintenance, we enjoyed our time at the beach.

Awesome for Pets - great view & property - older/dated

We loved this property. Elevators were fast (not always the case in these big condos). Great pools (one was heated), beautiful beach, and a very large patio overlooking the beach. And it is HUGE. I almost gave it 5 stars, but I doubt I would stay at this particular condo again if I wasn't traveling with my dog because it is dated, somewhat in disrepair and lacking amenities. The bathrooms and showers are definitely dated - to the point that I doubt they can be totally cleaned. (I read a review that the bathrooms were dirty- but I think it's mostly age). I've stayed in many, many vrbos, and the essentials provided here are bottom of the barrel. One trash bag, one roll of toilet paper, NO hangers in the closet (that was a first), no salt and pepper, no board games in the cupboards, etc. It was just kind of odd. There were plenty of dishes for our needs. We had a small maintenance issue that was fixed quickly. The tv situation is also weird, and the smart tv is not connected to the Internet. The satellite stopped working with the remote in the living room and we had to manually change the channel. The technology is like 10 years ago. I also think it would be really nice to have a keypad lock so you don't have to keep track of two keys and pick them up and drop them off on your way out of town. Overall I would stay here again and really appreciate that there is a place like this that allows pets and it was definitely worth the price for the quality and the pet policy..

Beautiful condo and windows with an amazing view

My family stayed here during the week of Christmas. The condo was described correctly. Tall ceilings, huge windows with the view of ocean. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star, was because the master shower was dirty and the tv was to hard to figure out and there were no hangers in closet. And only 6 glasses. I would stay there again and would highly recommend. Thanks, McGee

Awesome condo

This property has incredible views of the beach. It is also pet friendly with a clean place to let our dog go potty. The condo was clean and renovated for the most part. We have already booked our vacation for this property next year. I highly recommend this condo for your vacation
