Spacious lakefront house on deep, all sports lake near Ludington & PM river

More than a Lake House! Unwind in this home away from home rental located in the Manistee National Forest on the end of a quiet, all sport and fishing lake. Our "Peace of Pine" rental property has plenty of space for large families. Here you will enjoy the fun-filled days and peaceful evenings in this secluded location with more activities 20-30 minute away.

Large living room windows overlook the water, with a wrap around deck where you can dine outside, view the private swimming area, and watch the boats cruise in the evening. A fire pit, glider swing, and flat area at the waterfront makes for fun summer nights and star gazing. Lake depth is about 10-20 feet in front of pier for fishing or docking your boat. Lots of mature shade trees so bring your hammocks.
- More basic supplies are now included so our guests don't have to buy them!
Central Air. Modern kitchen with DW, MW, small appliances and cooking utensils. Weber Grill available. Exceptionally clean throughout the home with updated decor reminiscent of Western Michigan. Beds for 12. Master bedroom upstairs has a queen bed, Second bedroom upstairs has a twin/full bunk & trundle, 1 lower level (aka basement) guest room with queen includes a lake view. The office includes a Queen Temper-Pedic bed with zero gravity setting. Additional entertainment space has a Full sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress. There is no bedroom on the main level, however, there is a high quality Full size sleeper sofa.

There are 3 bathrooms with 3 showers (2 tubs). (There is no bathroom on the lower level aka basement) Enough room for everyone to find a quiet place to relax giving you peace of mind. WiFi is available for Guests. Password is available in the welcome book. We have new TV on the main level and a smart TV in the lower level. Cellular service is very good. There are 2 kayaks & 1 canoe for use on our lake. A few life vests are available, but we recommend you bring your own. Let us know if you are planning to bring your boat.

Plenty to do in the area! 30 min or less - Downtown Ludington, Downtown Manistee, Ludington State Beach, PM river, Dunes, Hiking and biking trails, river fishing or floating, kayaking. 45 min - Dunes, golf, ski hills, ATV trails, orchards, snowmobile trails. 60+min - Traverse City, Amusement parks, ranches, more.

Family Fun

Quiet, secluded lake home to relax

Great place to relax and hangout, we used as a home base for many West Michigan activities and state park visits. The stay quickly felt like being in our own home, the property owners pay great attention to detail, and their pride of ownership shines!

Wonderfully Relaxing Family Vacation

This location was perfect and the home was very clean. The lake was large enough that paddleboarding and kayaking were enjoyable and calm enough that swimming was easy for the young ones. Thank you for having us, we look forward to another visit soon!

Wonderful place for vacation!

We enjoyed our stay! The house was very well stocked with necessities! The grandkids loved the swimming and the floating mat! My husband had a lot of fishing success right of the dock! We would definitely stay there again. It was very peaceful and quiet!

Girlfriend Weekend Away

Pure Heaven

This was our third year to spend a week together at Peace of Pine. We had 4 generations, from 10 to 90 years old and everyone was comfortable and happy! The home is clean and beautiful and we love the location on the end of the lake for swimming and the dock for my son’s boat. We can hardly wait to return next year!

Another outstanding stay

This is a wonderful place to stay, it’s clean and well kept. Mike and Christine just replaced their old grill with a brand new Webber grill! We really enjoy cooking on the new grill amongst many other wonderful attributes this house has to offer. The 3 bathrooms and many sleeping arrangements are great for us 7 guys! Tom

It's a beautiful place!

We really enjoy the big family room, where we hung out to watch football and tell stories of the fun day of fishing on the PM. The best part is all the beds that were available to us. The house was very clean with a spectacular view of the lake from the beautiful deck. it's a beautiful home, definitely the best place we have stayed over the last 20 plus years. Thank you, Christine and Michael, for being a wonderful hosts!

Great stay at Peace of Pine

This was our second visit to this wonderful home on Long Lake. The house was so clean and there was plenty of room for all 12 (4 generations) of us to stay and enjoy time away from busy lives. Our son even brought his jet boat and we had so much fun in the water. Ludington and Lake Michigan were a fun outing. We also enjoyed a drive up M22. We made such great memories that we can't wait to return and have already booked a week in this beautiful home for next summer!

Wonderful home and property for a lakeside family vacation

This lakeside home was very comfortable for our extended family vacation. The hosts provided so well for our stay, from the well-stocked kitchen and coffee bar, to lovely outdoor furniture, plenty of firewood close to both fire pits, even s’more fixings to get us started. The cleanliness level was top-notch… even the grill was pristine. We appreciated the home’s open layout and comfortable seating. Our stay was over the 4th of July. If you’re bringing a boat or jet skis or both, as we did, you’ll appreciate the warmth and depth of the lake, as well as the property’s very nice dock. The lake itself is quite narrow, however, and the amount of boat traffic on the lake at times made pulling our kids on tubes or skis a little dangerous if they fell off. Boats were everywhere. Surely the holiday had a lot to do with that. Overall, we would highly recommend this location. There really wasn’t anything we could have wanted or needed that the owners hadn’t thought of and provided. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely Fabulous

Our family had an absolutely fabulous time at Peace of Pine! House was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Kitchen is well stocked with lots of cooking utensils and grill on deck was super clean and ready to use. Beyond creature comforts by far the best time was hanging out at the lake. Our grandkids, ages 5 & 3, spent hours fishing from the dock and swimming in the lake which is very clean and clear. Communication with the owners was prompt when we reached out to them. We are hoping to return next summer.

Sanctuary on the Lake!

This was a wonderful experience from the moment we reserved Peace of Pine, until the very end of our stay! The property owners are fantastic, communicating promptly and with great care. The property itself is like a piece of heaven. Soooo clean, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a warm decor that made us feel at home immediately. The view is STUNNING! Our first visit to Michigan and to Peace of Pine already has us wanting to go back! Thank you for sharing the gift of your home with us! We HIGHLY recommend this incredible home to anyone who is considering a stay in Michigan!

Beautiful Lake Home

We rented this home with my parents, their children and grandchildren. It was a wonderful peaceful place for our family vacation. The house was very clean and looked to be newly updated. There was lots of sleeping space for large families. The pull out couch in the basement was very comfortable and the basement was the perfect space for the all the kids to sleep. Plenty of seating in the living room, kitchen, and all the furniture was new and clean. The house is towards the north end of the lake, which works out very nice, because it kept the boat traffic down and the kids were able to safely swim and kayak in that area. The lake is small and peaceful which is nice, and you can travel to Ludington for the big lake. We rented the kayaks and canoes all week and the kids enjoyed using them daily. The owners were very responsive and were available if we needed anything from them. At the time the house did not have any cable TV. It would be nice if there was an antenna to try to get some local channels and the internet. But we were on vacation and didn't have that much time for TV watching as evenings were spent by the lake around the campfire. The kids would have loved a beach/ sandy area. We hope to come back in future years.

Peaceful getaway

We rented this house to celebrate my moms 70th birthday with all her children and grandchildren. The house was very clean and well equipped. The views were amazing from the living room and deck. The lake was clean and perfect for the kids to swim in. We enjoyed canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The lake was very quiet and surrounded by large pines. It truly lived up to its name and pictures. We had a wonderful time!

Great layout and great views! Sitting in the living room, on the deck, or on the dock by the water was so beautiful, quiet , and peaceful! Everyone had so much fun whether they stayed at the house , played in the water, or went into town - Ludington. – Just a short drive ! Our hosts were great and super attentive to all our needs that came up! Would recommend!

Remarkably relaxing, beautiful views, and a private place to get away, but close enough to so many activities and events at anytime of the year.
