Beautiful setting, lovely location. Nicely furnished well equipped converted barn. Bedroom 4 is open to the lounge though (privacy provided by curtains) so may not suit all large groups

Hi Angela I'm so glad you enjoyed the Launde Barn. the window has a great view of the outside and was a place that the hay was kept . (the hayloft.) this is left to give integrity to the Barns former life. Although the curtain across is not a wall , they are thick and do give complete privacy, this is why we call it the mezzanine which is described in the details. Beautiful property.Wonderful host.Unfortunate that during the heatwave it was very uncomfortable as there were no fans.I would definitely visit again perhaps earlier or later in the year.Very child friendly with lots of games and things to entertain them.They loved the sheep and alpaca.

Hi Anne i am so sorry that you were hot during the uncomfortable and unusual heat wave, its not something that we have been used to. we always recommend keeping the blinds down and windows shut in the daytime. you obviously missed the small fan in the utility room, we would have definitely produced more if this had been bought to our attention as we were only next door could have purchased more fans for you. we do now have 3 standing fans

This is a fabulous property. Lovely location, fantastic and very helpful hostess, really comfortable and spacious. Our group of 5 loved the outdoor spaces and the sauna and cold plunge. Cyntra could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Cannot recommend Launde Barn enough - a super place to relax and recharge and close to great places to visit. Lisa & John

Fantastic home, everything you could wish for to make your holiday special. Host very welcoming and even put a balloon up for my granddaughter. Would definitely recommend. Hopefully we will return.

An amazing stay!

We had a short three nights stay, what a great break, super for us as a family, and really well set up for dogs too! Everything as advertised and a lovely secluded spot. We will be back!

Lovely stay!

Great visit with family! The property was beautiful, very clean with lots of little details, lots of games, kitchen full of equipment and a lovely setting. Really easy to check in and out and the hosts were really friendly and very responsive. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Kitchen was beautiful. We really appreciated the home baked lemon loaf cake that was waiting for us on arrival. The expresso machine was great but would’ve appreciated instructions and only enough expresso powder for one cup - had to go buy more immediately.

Excellent location

Perfect to get the bus into York or see the surrounding small towns and villages. Very well equipped property with fun for all ages Some parts could do with a more thorough cleaning eg kitchen drawers Excellent place for a family weekend

A beautiful reclaimed barn on a farm in Yorkshire 8 miles from York

What a great house! Everything we needed for 3 days in Yorkshire. Sheep and Alpaca at the farm, a sauna in the evenings with a cold plunge. We cooked, visited and relaxed in this lovely house.

Perfect!

The perfect place to celebrate a significant birthday! The barn had everything we needed. Access to the woodland and use of the sauna gave us added space to relax and enjoy. We loved it! Thanks to Cyntra who is the perfect host.

Beautifully maintained property in easy to-reach rural location, close enough to York to pop in and enjoy, and far enough from the hustle and bustle of day to day life to relax and enjoy time with friends. Everything we needed for an enjoyable stay provided.

Family Weejend

We felt that the property more than met our expectations. Lovely lounge area, well-equipped kitchen, extremely comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. We enjoyed the outside eating area and we hired a hot tub, which we loved. Would certainly book again.

Wonderful accommodation

We spent five days in the property which was extremely spacious for five adults. Everything was perfect in a lovely relaxing setting within easy reach of York and the beautiful countryside. Facilities were excellent with everything you could possibly need. The local pub was friendly with very good food and a lovely atmosphere. We would definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful in every way!

We loved our time at the barn and found it child friendly for our young children. The property grounds are truly beautiful. Cyntra and Marcus were so welcoming and very accommodating! Thank you!

North Yorkshire Bliss

The property was lovely. All of the rooms had beautiful furnishing and comfortable beds. We were also impressed by how clean and organized everything was. The owner was very helpful and responsive to any question we had. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy day trips to Castle Howard, Sutton Bank Preserve and York.

Marcus and Cyntra Hinde. We have lived here for 10 years and have worked hard to create a warm an inviting environment for family friends and guests. We have two children at university, cocker spaniels and an array of sheep and chickens and two Alpacas who are mother and son.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We love the privacy and feeling of space we get around here and, whilst being rural, we are right on the edge of the village which includes a great village pub and and a fabulous Italian restaurant. The pub is a short stroll away and we have easy access into York by bus or car.
We developed the barn in 2016/17 and it is located behind the main farm house. It is very private and is not overlooked in any way , it looks over two paddocks containing all our rescue animals. The 7 acre wood was planted 15 years ago and is a great place to stroll in the morning or evening. You may even see one of the three deer, or a badger or owls that seem to like staying at night. You may also see buzzards in action.
