Honokeana Cove is in Napili, West Maui, just a quarter mile south of Napili Bay's sandy public beach. The gated property surrounds a secluded cove with a breathtaking view of the nearby island of Molokai from every unit. Experience Old Hawaii in one of these 38 low-rise units surrounded by luxurious tropical landscaping.

The peaceful cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and green sea turtles. A sparkling heated swimming pool only steps from your condominium adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of this tropical paradise.

NEW TO VACATION CONDO RENTAL? If you're used to giant hotels with mile-long hallways, you'll find Honokeana Cove a refreshing change. You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together. We're not a "party" destination, because we keep quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. There are just 38 units in this gated oceanfront property, featuring basking sea turtles and never ending sunsets. We can't wait to welcome you!

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 45 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 45 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add one cleaning fee, damage waiver and Hawaii tax (17.962%) to all rates.

Free Parking for one vehicle. No Resort Fee. Hawaii taxes remitted by Honokeana Cove Rental Association LLC, Tax ID 067-626-5984-01. This unit has air conditioning in the bedroom; there are also ceiling fans.

Love being able to go into the cove to snorkel and see turtles and fish. Our only disappointment was how worn the furniture was, carpets were dirty. Shower door was not attached at he bottom. The best snorkeling

Being able to walk out of your condo with your snorkel gear to climb down the rocks and snorkel with all types of fish as well as many turtles is the advantage here. Unit 115 is well equipped and even has an a/c unit in the bedroom. We used the community grills several times. We liked being on the first floor to walk out onto the grass. All of the visitors were friendly. We walked to the Gazebo for an excellent brunch and saw the Napili Beach if we wanted to go to the closest beach.

Beautiful grounds and view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: sparkling clean, all mod cons, and of course the most amazing view in the world! The Cove is exquisitely landscaped and perfectly maintained. sue was wonderful about getting us in on short notice and we were so happy to be back on Maui. One minor thing- the only blanket in the unit smelled powerfully of vomit. And one other issue about the Cove in general: LOTS of the pool...with glasses and bottles. Very loud and raucous, although got quieter after 10, we still were treated to loud, slurred soliloquies from the neighbors. If you want to party in paradise, this is the place!

Review of Unit 115, During Easter Week 2015

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been to Honokeana Cove multiple times over the past 20 years. Location, views, snorkling are why we keep coming back. This was our first family trip, with our 8 and 12 yr old daughters. They loved it! It's like having a home away from home, and you're close enough to so many amenities and activities to never get bored! As with any rental property, there are rules to follow and most everyone abides by them. The street traffic seemed to be heavier than I remember which made it noisy at night (bedrooms face the street). Sadly, unit 115 is in desperate need of some TLC. Units we've stayed in in the past have been much nicer. The furniture was literally falling apart and had visibly been "fixed" many times. Fridge had duct tape on the door but worked fine. The pull out sofa bed was difficult to put away each morning, the support railing is slightly warped and needs to be pushed down at the same time as you push it back into the sofa. Just another item that needs replacement. All in all, we spent most of our time outside anyway and had a fabulous time. On a positive note, this unit had free Wifi and basic cable so we were able to unwind at night with a movie and even caught a few LA Kings hockey games!!!! I would definitely recommend HC for the location, price and ability to have your own kitchen, access to grills and awesome snorkling! We saw turtles every day, either while snorkling or when they would come up to sleep on the rocks. You are within walking distance to The Gazebo restaurant, and short drive to Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kahana for more fun, restaurants, beaches, etc.

Our bed mattress was over soft, air conditioning functional yet loud and precluded sleep, the bathroom was functional and clean yet outdated. While we have visited the Cove for over 30 years, this may be out last visit unless we can be assured the units are updated and as comfortable as the location is beautiful.

Honokeana vacation at Unit #115

We love the location, the natural beauty of the environment, other vacationers and Su and Betty at the management office.However, unit #115 property did not meet our expectations at all. Carpet was old and dirty. All furniture including the sofa bed is old and dirty. Window curtains are old and dirty. The bed in the bedroom is extremely uncomfortable. Both my wife and I had shoulder and back pain. We won't stay at unit #115 ever again.

Love Honokeana Cove But Unit Sorely Needs Updating

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to the cove since I was a kid. It is a location and property like no other and we will continue or stays here. But they will not be in this particular unit until it is updated. Disappointing that the online photos were also not up-to-date and an accurately portrayal of what we could expect. Sofa bed frame was broken and I suspect the King bed frame broken as well (since I was told the mattress was only 6 months old but it had a severe dip). We slept upside down on the bed and my husband slept on the floor. The carpets were cringe-worthy. Drapes to the lanai were hard to move and the drape pulls were coming out of the wall. I had no problem with "dated" but this unit is bordering on "dilapidated." Kind of a bummer to spend thousands on a dream Hawaii vacay but not fully relax and enjoy because you can't relax and rest in a functional room.

Units are clean and you can hear the sound of the waves from the living room. Most bedrooms are in the back of the units. This location does accept children so if you’re not open to having them run around outside then don’t consider this. Units vary in their decor as well, some are renovated and some are more basic. The office is great at helping answer any questions. Many nice restaurants in the area if you can get a reservation! . Mahalo!

Our unit was nicely located with a wonderful view of the lawn, pool and cove. Comfortable bed, nice kitchen and great lanai for viewing whales and turtles. The only negative is the early morning road noise as the main road runs directly behind the complex. That would probably be the only reason we would hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing Location

The location is perfect. Quiet, peaceful and great snorkeling. Love having meals on the lanai looking at the beautiful view. The condo itself was below par for the price. Dirty dishes, rusty shower cabbie, dusty headboard, dirty comforter and shams. Just felt like they clean the surface and that is it. Super easy to make it nice for people, they should take the time to update the place as well. Management asked for my check-out time two days before I landed in Hawaii. There are rules posted throughout the condo along w a paper of rules.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This ocean front location and unit would be hard to find at this price point. The lanai steps down to the grass area as pictured. It is steps from the pool and beach. Turtles beach themselves almost every day. I did snorkel and when the water is calm there is lots to see. I would not rent this unit in the summer as it does get a large amount of sun on the lanai. We were here in late November and the weather was perfect and we only had a few hours of sun daily. The unit itself was ok. The kitchen has been remodeled and is well stocked. The furnishings and the carpet need to be updated. The smart TV worked well. One of the bad things about the location was it wasn't very walking friendly. You could walk but there is quite a bit of street traffic. It was also somewhat noisy because of this but I didn't have any trouble sleeping. Overall I liked the location and did book a different unit for next November.

Everything works, it's kitchen is well-stocked, and things are tidy and decent. The property is second to none. The staff is responsive and professional. We miss the Wednesday potluck, but totally understand the need to suspend due to covid. We also appreciate the covid safety protocols, including guests providing proof of vaccination. The amenities on the property are all fantastic, the BBQs very clean, great laundry facilities, and gorgeous grounds. The pool is also very nice and clean, the lawn chairs are excellent, and overall, the Cove is just the best place we've found on Maui!
