Aloha Wendy, thank you for your review. We were not aware of the fan or the dishwasher issues prior to your arrival. We ask our guests to perform basic operations such as turning off and on of switches to see if an issue can be resolved. The bathroom fan didn’t turn on so we ordered a new one. You stated that the dishwasher wasn’t operating and we asked you to shut the switch off and on to see if it resets it. You then stated that it was working but not to your satisfaction. The housekeepers checked the dishwasher after your departure and found that the dishwasher was working properly. Furthermore, we had no prior complaints about the dishwasher or the fan prior to your arrival. We address the issues as they arise. Wish we had a foresight to know when a machine would break but we don’t. We replace small appliances every 12-18 months and large appliances every 3-5 years. Some people have unreasonable expectations when unforeseen things arise. We have posted pictures of every room including the bathroom and the square footage of the condo. If having a window in the bathroom was a priority then you should have inquired about it before booking. We make every effort to provide a comfortable stay for our guests and we have over 120 5 star reviews that reflect this. What we do offer is a beautiful condo in an unbeatable location with awesome views and that’s why people come to Maui and stay with us. Mahalo

Aloha Vicki and thank you for your review. Here’s our response to some of your comments. With regard to the ants, we explained to you prior to your arrival that you can’t leave any food out including crumbs. Its a tropical environment and you have to clean up after yourself. Had you kept the place clean, you would not have had any problems. In regard to your comments about our furniture, you have to be more open minded when you travel. Our home decorations are not like yours but it works for us and the environment. The reason you travel is to open yourself to new experiences. Otherwise don’t leave your house. With regard to your comment about the walkway there has to be a way for people to access our home. I’m not sure how you would expect people to get to our home if there’s no walkway. Maybe next time you should consider renting a private Villa and you can avoid everyone. Mahalo

Washing machine broke and we ordered the part which had to be shipped from mainland. Appliance repairs take much longer on Maui as parts are not always available and repairman has to travel from the other side of the island. And ordering new appliances take 4-6 weeks before they’re delivered. In regards to the furniture comment, we can’t please everyone’s taste. Our decor is Hawaiian style and we update our furniture and appliances as needed. Our furniture was updated about 18 months ago. We wonder if this guests comments about our furniture is due to the fact that we told him he couldn’t stay with us when he inquired about 4-8 weeks stay in 2021.
