Superb apartment of 185 sqm overlooking the Garonne and the Stone Bridge

Located in the historic center of Bordeaux, the apartment was completely renovated in 2016 and offers comfort and space. It is on the first floor but the second level of a listed building. It includes beautiful reception rooms (entrance hall, lounge, lounge with TV), a kitchen, a bedroom with private bathroom, two bedrooms and a bathroom with tub and shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped with induction hob, oven, microwave, coffee makers with Nespresso, toaster, fridge-freezer.
All rooms have storage.
If necessary, a sofa bed can be made available in a separate room.
The apartment has a security door.
This apartment is ideal for a large family or group of friends.
The apartment is completely private and you have access to all benefits.

Accommodations were perfect for our group. Loved the old world charm. Very spacious and well equipped. Plus there was a nice washer and dryer!! Location was good and walkable to many sites. The tram was accessible right in front, too! We enjoyed our stay very much. Communication was excellent.

Elegant, classic apartment in old building. Conveniently located. Entry with long staircase up to secure unit was rough with trash bins. 1 bedroom with ensuite bathroom, other 2 share toilet and separate sink/shower room. All nice and functional just down long hall. We appreciated Kitchen and washer dryer. Overall good experience in a beautiful city.Enjoyed great food and wine!

Lovely old building nicely decorated well furnished good location. Would have been nice to have the television in the larger room as a group we had to squeeze into the smaller room with a less comfortable sofa…the main room was so much bigger. Kitchen well equipped. Only issue was the last night when one of our group was disturbed by a noisy group up stairs.

Convenient location to the city Centre, restaurants and shopping. Very quiet from street noise. The layout worked well for our group, with having 2 showers and the bedrooms were spaced out well. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. Could use some new towels, but beds and bedding were very comfortable. Therese offered great communication and was very responsive. All photos well represented the space. Very clean.

An extremely spacious, well equpped apartment in a superb location

Very large apartment with 3 very good double rooms. A large kitchen diner plus an elegant dining room sitting room and tv area. Everything we needed for our stay was there We would certainly book again

Spacious apartment

Very spacious & nicely decorated apartment with full kitchen. Provided great help with location to park our car and fantastic assistance at check-in. Approx 300m walk to access the lovely old city centre of Bordeaux which is filled with great restaurants, cafes & wine bars.

This is a beautiful, spacious apartment, comfortable, clean and very well equipped. The location is perfect. It was a pleasure to make the arrangements with the hosts. Sylvie and Marlene were prompt, thoughtful and gracious. Thanks so much for the wonderful bottle of wine, and for a splendid stay!

The apartment itself is a very large, long apartment. Bedrooms are a little on the small side but there is a large dining room, small TV room and good size lounge. Kitchen is a little dated but has all the necessary appliances. Minor problems were dealt with very quickly by the landlord.There are 2 points that let it down but would be difficult to resolve, so just to be aware: The main bedroom has an ensuite comprising a sink, a shower and a toilet. Then there is one other toilet (no sink). And one other shower room with sink. This was not very clear on the listing. To have 2 toilets (one without a sink) in an apartment with 3 bedrooms and a sofabed (so potentially 8 occupants) was a bit of a surpise.The other issue was that there was no air conditioning, which is opposite to what was stated in the English version of the VRBO site. (The host later showed me the French version which implied "fan only".) This was when the temp outside was 41 C. So trying to stay cool, even with thick walls, with just fans was pretty much impossible. Given the age of the building, however, (and a Unesco area) this would be difficult to resolve.The position of the flat, however, overlooking the Pont de Pierre and literally 50m from the tram stop Porte de Bourgogne which goes straight to Bordeaux Airport for just 1.90, and a 10 minute walk along the banks of the Garonne to the centre more than made up for these two points.We would definitely stay again (but only at a cooler time of year).

Comfortable Spacious Apartment

This apartment is as shown. It is beautifully decorated. It is near a tram stop, but there is almost no street noise. It is roomy and comfortable. It is about a 10 minute walk to squares and restaurants and an easy tram ride to anywhere in the city. We had a great stay, and are grateful to the host for the comfortable and convenient apartment.

Fantastic apartment for families

We had a very nice experience at this apartment. It is in the heart of Bordeaux. The train is across the street and an abundance of eateries and downtown fun is within 10 minute walk. The apartment is very large…three full bedrooms, living areas, and a full kitchen that was supplied with everything needed for our stay. The host was easy to communicate with and met with us on time. Very much appreciated the ease of staying here. Would recommend this apartment to others looking to enjoy Bordeaux.

Beautiful apartment!

We had a wonderful stay. Sylvie kindly provided a very nice travel cot and high chair for our baby (who also loved crawling around the apartment). The apartment itself was conveniently located, absolutely massive and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with everything you could think of. Despite 35 degree celsius weather, the apartment was cool inside. We all slept very well with comfortable bed and blackout blinds. There was a flight of stairs to get up so not ideal for those with limited mobility but otherwise, a perfect apartment! Thank you!

This is a beautiful apartment in a wonderful location. As a host, Silvie is responsive and helpful. However, this apartment is listed as having air conditioning and it does not. The host provides fans but there is no AC. This was hugely disappointing for us to learn upon our arrival on a 105 degree day in Bordeaux. We were open to paying the premium price for an AC apartment but would have likely opted for a hotel had we known AC meant fans.

Hot week and little AC

Great experience but we expected real AC per the listing.. it was an exceptional hot week (100+F) and the portable room AC units were not effective. VRBO should be more specific with regard to the type of AC in the unit. We all had trouble sleeping due to the heat. Property manager was great. She went out of her way to get us in early and communications with her were excellent. Enjoyed the stay despite the poor AC.

Lovely, LARGE apartment in Bordeaux

Host was fantastic. Excellent communication before, and during check in/check out. Very roomy with large, well stocked kitchen, laundry room, etc. We even had space to host a dinner party. Location right near the tram and a block from all provisions you may need.

Un excellent séjour Bordelais

L'appartement est conforme en tout point à la description. Ce très bel appartement a été le point de départ de toutes nos excursions. Au pied de la Garonne, du tram et du vieux Bordeaux sa situation est parfaite. Un parking à 100m du logement est aussi un atout majeur . Merci pour l'accueil très agréable.

Wonderful!

We had such a wonderful stay here with my family. It was the perfect location for exploring historic Bordeaux. And the apartment was even more beautiful than it appears in the photos! The huge front windows look out over the Pont de pierre, which let in a nice breeze from the Garonne when opened in the morning or evening. The apartment managed to stay fairly cool, even in the middle of a heatwave. When the windows were closed, we were surprised at the quiet calm oasis, even though we were located on a busy street. We walked almost everywhere in town, but the tram is just outside, and there is a parking lot nearby where my parents parked their car. Sylvie is a thoughtful and generous host, and she even provided toys for our one year old to enjoy. In summary, this apartment is a treasure, and you should definitely stay here when you visit Bordeaux.
