This is a lovely vacation property on a beautiful and peaceful lake. The view from the screened porch is so relaxing and the sky show changes all the time. you can actually see stars here. The host are fabulous. They are very professional and experienced and are gracious and friendly. The check-in and out procedures are very clear and well communicated. The listing description is accurate. . The house is well stocked with towels and rafts and kitchen items, including soap and cleaning supplies and paper products. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. If you want a quiet retreat or a great place for family fun, this house works well for either. We thoroughly enjoy coming here and are repeat visitors.

We were not able to spend our planned weekend as our 5th Grandchild is due any moment. So we stayed home with bags packed and ready to go at a moments notice.Joan and Lewis were very kind and accommodating, returning a partial refund and inviting us back in the future. We look forward to renting this location again as we have family on the lake and always look forward to going to Lake Francis.

Hi Robert, we are saddened and surprised at your four star rating of our place and our response to your needs, especially since you did not actually stay at the house! We had confirmed your arrival 2 days prior and the house was ready for you and your family. When you did not arrive as expected on the first night, we reached out the next day to check on you. At that time you told us you would not be staying after all. Even though a refund was not required since your reservation had already begun, we returned not only your cleaning fee but an additional amount that in your words was very generous. "Oh my. That is very generous of you both." We work hard to maintain a five star rating and we look forward to having you join us in the future for an actual stay! :) We hope that the arrival of your fifth Grandchild goes well. Blessings, Joan and Lewis

This was our second time staying at this beautiful lake house, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered! The home is spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly accommodating. Our kids especially loved the adorable rock garden—such a thoughtful and charming touch that made them smile every time we passed it. From the peaceful lake views to the cozy, well-appointed interior, everything made us feel right at home. We’re so grateful for another memorable stay and already look forward to coming back!

This marks our family’s fourth year returning to this beautiful home, and it remains our favorite vacation spot! Each visit feels like coming back to a cherished tradition. From strolling downtown to slow evening game nights and peaceful sunset rides on the John boat, every moment is pure joy. We have everything we could ever need — and more. Thank you, Gilbert Family, for opening your home to us year after year. The memories we’ve made here are treasures we’ll hold onto forever.
