Adorable Cabin with great views, swimming, bathing and fishing

We have a small, but accommodating cabin on Lake Hartwell. Lake Hartwell forms the border between Georgia and South Carolina and although the lake is attracting more people every year, it stays very peaceful and uncrowded. What's more; the lake is extremely clean and very warm May through September! There are 2 bedroom AREAS. Twin beds comprise the sole bedroom. The other bedroom area has a queen-size bed intentionally located next to a cozy fireplace. Privacy for this bedroom area is provided by a folding screen that can be easily folded back to view the fireplace which can be used in the wintertime. We have a full kitchen and one full bathroom. The house has a big wooden deck with rocking chairs, a grill, and a picnic table to enjoy. Furthermore, we have great lake access with a dock. There are chairs and umbrellas for the deck and dock and kayaks which can also be used. Sorry, we don't let anyone use our boats but Harbor Light Marina is a 20 minute drive away where boats can be rented if so desired.
Guests should expect a quiet, relaxing getaway while staying here. The lake is not too busy as most people who have houses on the lake only use them on holidays or weekends. Our lake house is situated in a cove, and almost everyone on our cove lives elsewhere the majority of the time (including us). Toccoa is the nearest town, which is a short, 15 mile drive away. There is Calico Country Store, which is only a 5 minute drive away where basic food & drink needs can be met. The closest gas station is also about 5 minutes away, but any restaurant/shops/attraction needs can be met in Toccoa. Clemson is approximately 45 minutes away and UGA is one hour from the cabin. The cabin is an hour and a half drive from downtown Atlanta.
There is no public transit to this lake house. The Amtrak train runs to Toccoa. Interstate 85 is approx. 15 miles away from our lake house.

This lake house would be perfect for a romantic getaway, or any type of vacation where one is looking to escape the "hustle and bustle." It is a perfect spot to spend family time. This property is NOT conducive for parties of more than 5 people maximum without owner consent. The cabin has wifi and a smart TV where personal channels can be accessed easily. Also due to our son's allergies, we are firm on no smoking nor animals of any kind allowed in the cabin. We utilize a five step rigorous cleaning and sanitizing process between guests.

Check-in is after 3:00 pm and Check-out is before 11:00 AM unless special arrangements have been made with the owner. As a courtesy, please let us know your ETA an ETD if possible, prior to the reservation. This aids us greatly in our planning process. A week out, if we have not sent you additional cabin info including directions and access codes, please contact us and we will send it right away.

Cabin Guidelines: There is no smoking NOR Pets/service animals allowed inside the cabin due to our son's allergies. The cabin sleeps four comfortably Additional charges:
1. There is a charge of $50.00 per night per guest over 4 people, not to exceed 5 people maximum. This includes day and night usage. This charge may need to be worked out after the transaction is complete, if it does not show up in the final charges.
2. There is a charge of $20.00 if excessive towels and linens are used. (One bath and one beach towel per person for two night stays.)
3. There is a charge of $1.00 per log, not to exceed the 6-8 pieces of firewood. Leave this money on the kitchen table.
4. Directions and lock box info is given to our guests one week before the rental date. If guests have not received additional info one week out, they should contact the host for further details.
5.. If the cabin is used for more guests on an overnight or daily basis other than what is contracted for, we will ask you to vacate the premises immediately and lose your reservation fee. This is NOT a party place. Sorry but we are firm on this. It is what keeps our little place nice for future guests.
