Shepherds Lodge was great!!! Well appointed kitchen, nice bathroom amenities, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. The house was clean, beds were comfortable; we will definitely re book house!!

Excellent Family experience

We enjoyed our stay! The property had all the cooking tools, nice space for family of 12. Love the land and peaceful environment. The kids enjoyed the pool and adults loved the patio and porch space. Clean linens and towels. Host were prompt with communication. Close to town 6 min commute. We def will recommend and be back ! Thank you!

It was a wonderful place for a girlfriend get away! Plenty of places to sit and visit, play cards, and swim! We couldn’t get hot tub quite hot enough but it was still enjoyable! Would definitely come back

We’re so glad you and your group had a wonderful getaway and enjoyed all the spaces to relax, visit, and spend time together! We’re happy to hear the hot tub was still enjoyable. With the cooler temperatures combined with heavy rain earlier in the week, it can sometimes take a bit longer to fully heat. We have since inspected the hot tub, and everything is performing as it should.

Everything was great! We could have used another roll of paper towels and some extra hand and dish towels in the kitchen. We will definitely tell our friends about our experience and recommend it to them.

All very good. Only issue was hot tub didn't heat up. Followed all the directions, including making sure all other heat draws were not being used. Tried all three nights. A standard hot tub controller with temp reading, display of on/off, etc could help.

The kids loved the place, they didn’t want to leave, huge space with swings, hammock, treehouse, and best of all peace and the hot tub pool. The outside patio areas were so nice. We will definitely be back. The staff was super timely. We have been staying in different homes around the area of Wimberely since 2020 and this is at the top for our family of 5.

Five of us gathered for our annual reading retreat, and this property was the perfect backdrop for relaxation and girl time. The host was incredibly responsive to all of my planning questions, and the house was warm and accommodating. We cooked, read, napped, laughed, and explored. We thoroughly enjoyed the wraparound porch, the hot tub, the cozy sitting area downstairs, and the close access to Wimberley's cutest restaurants and shops. Would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful and comfortable, we loved this home. The pool, the hot tub, the wild life we saw on the property ( deer, armadillo, lizards, and gorgeous butterflies) made our stay especially memorable.

Wonderful stay

We stayed at Shepards Lodge for a family wedding at Montesino Ranch. It was the perfect location and close enough to go back and forth over the weekend. The house was clean, spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the pool, hut tub and spacious decks over the course of our stay. We had plenty of room for our family. Highly recommend this house and was taken care of by the Vacay staff.

In December, so it takes a while for the hot tub to heat up, but it works, and was enjoyed. The pool pump ran 24 hours which as a annoying in such a quiet setting. The fireplace worked, it was fun. The rooms are not as big as they seem on line, but the house was very nice. We ate outside once, very nice under the lights, especially if you BBQ. We saw deer, fox, cats, goats, turkeys, chickens, and more. Ice maker and fridge water were not working, ice trays were provided! Would stay again!

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace, wildlife, and outdoor dining setup! We did want to clarify a couple of points for future guests. The kitchen includes a full refrigerator/freezer. Ice trays are always provided as a backup. Also, during the colder winter months, the hot tub can take additional time to fully heat due to outdoor temperatures, but we’re happy to hear it reached temp and was enjoyed.

We had a wonderful time staying at this house! The house is spacious and has huge dining areas inside and outside for big meals. The kitchen was very well equipped with cooking tools and pots and pans. Pool was beautiful and everything was clean and ready for us when we got there! Definitely recommend.

We came in for a wedding with two families. Great outdoor space for groups to hang out. The pool was perfect for a hot day in Whimberly. Close drive or walk into the Whimberly square. A few items that were addressed were fixed right away from the management company.
