Marsh Cottage - Centrally Located to Amenities in Habersham

Marsh Cottage is centrally located in the Southern Living Inspired community of Habersham. The newly built home celebrates the best in low country living with tasteful coastal décor, beautiful finishes and an enormous screened in back porch. This 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath home provides an open floor plan to encourage family gatherings and entertaining but also has spacious bedrooms for quiet private time as well. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking all types of meals. If you prefer to cook outside, a charcoal grill with propane starter is available. As beautiful as the home is on the inside, the best part of the cottage is outside. You can enjoy sitting on the front porch swing with a glass of sweet tea, happy hour around the fire pit, dinner al fresco on the screen porch or take the bikes for a ride around the neighborhood and enjoy the gorgeous natural habitat of Habersham.

Marsh Cottage is across the street from the Habersham Park which has an exercise trail, 3 clay tennis courts, basketball court, playground, bocce ball court, and a community garden. Enjoy the short walk to the Habersham Marketplace which offers 4 restaurants, 2 bars that host musical entertainment and a variety of quaint shops. The neighborhood amenities include a community pool, boat ramp and picnic pavilion and dock. Also, there are several catch and release ponds for fisherman to catch both saltwater and fresh fish. The numerous porch swings situated around the neighborhood allow you to relax and enjoy the beautiful marsh and river views.

Habersham hosts several popular events such as Southern Living's Bottles and Barrels event in May, its own fire work display on 4th of July, and the popular Harvest Festival in the autumn.

The cottage is located 10 minutes from historic downtown Beaufort and just 8 miles from Parris Island.
A 40 minute drive from Habersham takes you to the beautiful beaches of Huntington Island State Park and Hilton Head Island.

Very nice stay; this was our 3rd time renting this cottage. Kitchen well-stocked, comfy beds, and nice screened in porch. Property is within walking distance to the Marketplace, with restaurants. Will return soon!

Great Stay

We brought all the Granddaughters together for some quality (no parents) time. The house was spacious, clean, and perfect for us. The amenities (pool, Tennis, playground) kept all of us busy. We will definitely be back!

Great house in a wonderful neighborhood

The house was perfect for 6 people. The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful and so charming. Our family all mentioned the area looked like a neighborhood from a Disney movie.

Fantastic visit and GREAT sleep

This house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our group. The two king bed mattresses were the BEST SLEEP we have ever had away from home! Thank you for making your home available to us!!

Harbasham Cottage

The grounds of this development is beautiful. One morning we watched a mother and 2 baby deer from our front porch. The cottage is perfect. The inside is decorated nicely and very clean. It has everything you need. Be sure to sit on the back porch and enjoy to beautiful back yard. Great location.

Well done home in great neighborhood

Other than the initial problem of not being able to get into the rental via code and having to use the spare key and having to do a little cleaning when we first got in the stay was great. The house has everything you need, is well appointed, and in a great neighborhood area. My family would love to stay here again next year as this house was perfect.

jets and construction noise potential

Renters need to be aware that there is potential for noisy construction (as of July 2019). There were several homes being built in this "cottage" area of Habersham. I am not sure if I did not read carefully enough before reserving this home, but I do not remember seeing anything about construction on the listing. Additionally, and probably worse than the construction, were the jets flying over. constantly. From 7am to 11pm there were extremely loud jets flying over (Habersham is directly in the flight path) at random times. It was so loud that if we were on the back porch, we could not continue conversation until they had passed. While I am a huge fan of the military and appreciate their sacrifice very much, it was not at all relaxing to listen to jets all week while we were trying to have a quiet, peaceful and relaxing vacation. Construction can happen anywhere I realize, but the fact that several homes were under construction at the same time we were there, PLUS the jets flying over, made for a noisy week unfortunately. Lastly, there is a large pad of land with barbed wire fence surrounding it, that is very close by the cottage homes (across from the Dog Park, behind some trees) that looks to to be where a power station or a cell phone tower will be placed, so BE SURE to find out what is going in there BEFORE you book this house, especially if you have children. You do not want to live/visit that close to either of those possibilities because of radiation coming from them, so check first! It seems to be on property beside Habersham, but you can see it through the few trees that separate it. Hopefully I'm wrong, but SOMEthing unusual is going in there with that much barbed wire fencing around it. BUT Habersham is gorgeous with trees and spanish moss greenery everywhere, and except for those 3 things above, it is an ideal place to visit, and this house is absolutely adorable!! For us, we will probably only stay for weekends instead of week long visits from now on, since we could not adjust to the jets flying over. They do not fly at all one day each week (can't remember if it's Sat or Sun) so a weekend trip is probably better for construction and jet noise issues, and will be much more relaxing. Otherwise, this place and home are absolute heaven!

Perfect Low Country Experience

Our niece graduated from Beaufort High School and our family of four stayed at this lovely home. The neighborhood was perfect with a dog park, basketball court, a great downtown area with great restaurants, walking trails, and a gorgeous pool overlooking the marsh. Short Holiday Stay

Our stay was very pleasant in beaufort. The house had so many amenities! The kitchen was stocked with everything to make a holiday meal. Stock pans, frying pans, oven mitts, dishes, etc. Check in was very easy. Although I could say that the cleaning crew could’ve done a little better job in the bathrooms, other than that the place was spotless! Floors were so clean, which is nice when you want to kick off your shoes and walk to the porch. Our stay was laid back at the house. The property had many great amenities as well. So close to the dog park, and bocce court which we took full advantage of. Nice home for five people.

The property was just like described. Very clean and beautiful. Everything we needed!

We came to South Carolina for my nephews graduation. The house was only about 15 min from Parris Island. There is a Walmart Super Center real close too. We had plenty of room for 7 people. Make sure to take a drive or bike ride down to the dock and pool, it is definitely an added benefit of staying at this property. It was nice to have the outside fire pit and grill. Great place to stay!

We stayed here during a Marine Corps graduation. The house is in a great location close to Parris Island and Beaufort. Cute house, nicely decorated, and with everything we needed - all within a beautiful neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

WONDERFUL!!!

Should have booked it last year! Stayed in a Habersham condo last year. Visited again this year and needed the extra space. Well-maintained and perfect location near Beaufort family. Maybe consider swapping out cushions on deck furniture -- smelled of mildew and couldn't really enjoy time on back porch. Pool access was fabulous --- especially during hot afternoons --- Sunset Slush is a favored spot too! Thank you for a WONDERFUL week with family!!!

Beautiful getaway!

Overall a beautiful house, everyone in the family loved it! Be aware that there are home owners on either side of the house, and they are close. Both are very nice. The owner should consider running curtains on the sides of screened-in porch for a little privacy from those owners who like to hang out on their porches as well.

Beautiful and comfortable home

From the honey-suckle draped back gate to the comfy front porch swing, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marsh Cottage. The house is tastefully and comfortably furnished. Our master bedroom had a comfortable mattress, spacious bathroom and a multi-head shower large enough for two. Their are two TVs in the house. One in the downstairs living room, and one in the upstairs bedroom with twin beds. The neighborhood is so beautiful, you won't spend much time indoors when the weather is nice. You should know that the house is in a town with a military installation, so you might hear the military planes flying overhead. We heard them during the weekday, but not on the weekend. Being a military family, this did not bother us in the least. The neighborhood is the nicest I've ever experienced situated on picturesque marsh lands among ancient oak trees. It has a range of beautifully designed traditional homes from small cottages to mansions, as well as a quaint marketplace with shops, offices and restaurants. There are walking paths with fitness equipment along the route, a community garden and a children's playground. We didn't use the tennis courts or the community swimming pool, but they looked very well maintained. I will definitely book this house for future stays.
