Beautiful Spanish style home with terra-cotta roof, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, on 5 acres of land.

Our Vacation Hobby Farm Home is available with animals on property or without animals on property, animals can include llama, alpaca,rooster, sheep, horse, goat, pony, donkey.
Your family can enjoy feeding the animals with our easy instructions, or just enjoy watching the animals and we will care for them.

Perks of our rental included:

with a 4 Night minimum rental you receive a Complementary daytime carriage tour of historic Jekyll Island for your family.

With a 7 night minimum rental, you received a complementary daytime carriage tour of historic Jekyll Island for your family, a week’s toll pass for Jekyll Island, and a two person horseback ride on the beach.( you can purchase additional horseback rides from our company!)

Our home has a large dining room and living room area and beautifully manicured lawns. It is secluded, yet only a 15 minute drive from Saint Simons Island, Jekyll island or Blythe island and a 50 min drive to Jacksonville, Florida or Savannah, Georgia.

Our home is located on a private road that is very beautiful! It is an enjoyable and relaxing walk down to the horse farm that is owned by our family.
The farm has a full petting zoo, horseback riding on the beach and narriated carriage tours of the historic district on Jekyll Island.

The master bedroom has a fireplace, a California king size bed and large double doors that open to the beautiful forest in front of the house. It also has a large master bath with a Jacuzzi tub and a two person shower, Flat screen TV and a large closet. It also has a balcony that is wonderful to sit out on and relax.

Guestroom number 1 has a large closet, a flatscreen TV, a queen size bed and double doors that open into the beautiful forest on the backside of our home, and also has a balcony that connects to guest room number 2.

Guest room number 2 has 1 king bed and a large closet and a balcony that connect to guest room number 1.

Guest room number 1 and number 2 share a full bath with double vanities, toilet and shower/tub.

Our home has a beautiful front porch that is very large with three sections of couches, a table and a fire table, which is perfect for eating meals and being out in the fresh air.

Our home is the perfect location with all of the action, but yet is a perfect place to relax and vacation!

Beautiful and quiet!

It was very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to do! I would definitely stay here again. Recommend for families with children. The yard was large and the children had plenty of room to play outside and it is far enough off the road that it’s safe for them to do so.

Peaceful and quite

The house was nice and clean.. the yard needed a mowing but wasnt horrible.. its located in a quite area which is a plus... the house is very roomy.. only spoke to owner threw msg and they seem like nice people. Thanks for letting us stay with you guys

Thanks for staying at our home, with such a big yard the grass occasionally grows very quickly especially when we have lots of rain, sometimes it happens to have a bit of a growth spurt a few days before the lawn care people are scheduled. we’re glad that you had a great time And hope to see you again

Beautiful home....but extremely dirty

The bathrooms were beyond filthy. The kitchen had bowls of rancid grease/gravy left under the counters. Upon arrival we tried to contact the owner. She was out of the country. We met her Father who was delightful and understanding. Apparently a substitute cleaning service had been used, unfortunately they were not remotely up to par. We could not find another place to stay at that point. We were assured that we would be refunded half of our reservation cost. So, we cleaned and stayed. Trusting this was just an honest mistake of genuinely nice people getting bad service from cleaners. The house is beautiful, spacious and had everything we needed. I truly believe our situation was not typical . We have used vrbo for years and never had an experience like this .

You are correct. We had used a substitute cleaning service because the cleaning service we normally use were closed for the week for vacation. However I do feel like you unjustly scored and reported your visit. The pots and bowls that you found under the cabinet where at the back of the countertop grill where a part of the grill had come loose and dripped grease, it was not from lack of cleaning but from a broken screw that no one was aware of at the VERY back of our cabinets, We clearly showed you that so I’m not sure why you would be saying it was anything else. You also went through our entire house and pulled all of the linens out Of the bathrooms and had them all on the floor; we had to wash seven loads of linens when you left. you were also very disrespectful of our request not to wear shoes on the carpet’s and we had to have all of the carpets cleaned after you left. We have requested that Your security deposit be paid in light of these issues. You’re one point that is correct is that one of the downstairs toilets was not cleaned properly, I do not think that that meets the criteria for a bathroom being described as beyond filthy.

Quiet. We liked that because of the isolation factor. The walls were filled with bible scriptures. The kitchen appeared very updated and easy access to prepare the meals.

Great house for a family

We had our two grown children, their spouses and our two grandchildren staying with us. The house was great for that size group. We enjoyed the outdoor living space on the porch. It was great for coffee and conversation in the mornings. It is only about 15-20 minutes from the beaches at Jekyll Island. We look forward to coming back again!

Peaceful setting and lovely home

Plenty of space & great 1st experience with vrbo! Almost everything as described online, and what wasn’t quite perfect was not a big deal. Kids absolutely loved it! We were 3 days into vacation , having atarted in Atlanta the 2 days in Savannah. So after car ride & spending those nights in 3 hotels this was a wonderful change. We spread out and settled in, and had no issues. Minor issues; yard hadn’t been tended to or mowed in a while and fenced area for animals wasn’t actually ready for any animals. We didn’t mind the walk to petting zoo. Kids loved it... worked it in for about an hour 1st day & last day. Otherwise we did Jecklyl and St Simons. Also....the back door issue mentioned in review in March still not fixed. Property was also a little further than everything then mentioned in overview. Good 25 min to St Simons and an hour to Savannah. Reminder for those not from area you have to pay for entrance to Jeckyl. Regardless of these minor things, it was the perfect place to unwind and our family would go back!!

All of the doors have very nice, expensive German locks on them they all operate the same, had the house manager known that you needed instructions on operating that they were handles I’m sure she would’ve been happy to help. As far as a battery and Nerf bullet left around the house, I have three children and when we are not in our home in the Caribbean or in our home in Atlanta we live in this house and We always keep our two children’s ponies and a couple of baby goats in the pasture at the house, so my only guess is that the house manager did not understand that you wanted animals on property. For other renters who have requested the animals to be on property she has always brought them over with no problem. you again for visiting our home

Great rental property!

Great house for 4+. House and property was very pretty and had great amenities including separate ice machine, jacuzzi bathtub and awesome shower in master bathroom, fire pit on back porch, and outside play sets for kids. Never met owner in person (out of town while we stayed) but she answered my phone calls every time and was very helpful with questions. There was a property keeper/manager who showed us through the house and was helpful with questions we had as well. Property was close (5 min drive) to interstate and 25 min drive away from St Simons island beach access. Would recommend to others. Didn’t get a chance to visit petting zoo but seemed like a great idea. Only down side would be house had few dirty corners, found a single AAA battery and nerf bullet under master room bed; but overall beds, sitting spaces and bathroom was clean. Also back door from kitchen to back porch locking mechanism didn’t seem to work. Didn’t bother us too bad as surrounding area didn’t seem too “rough” but was brought up by people who stayed with me. Again great rental property and would stay there again if I ever visit the area again.
