Cozy Bear Hollow is just 2 minutes from Mariposa, the "Gateway to Yosemite National Park, Two Bedrooms, a cozy living room, full kitchen, two bathrooms, and a hot tub under the trees. Grace Oak's Cozy Hollow is a lovely little home for your retreat or getaway. Nestled in mountains, just two minutes from Mariposa, 'The Gateway to Yosemite,' and decorated with the theme of the wildlife that roam nearby, you'll enjoy coming home to this retreat after a day in Yosemite, or Historic Mariposa. The home features a hot tub, deck, fire circle, TV, Books, Wifi, a fully functional kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. Nearby Mariposa and other historic towns like Coulterville, Hornitos, Bear Valley, the Mariposa Museum, and the State Mineral Exhibit are fun to explore. In the summer the town is alive with tourists, weekend 'Music on the Green' featuring local artists in a lovely park setting, occasional open air movies on the park lawn. A fun time to visit is in the spring, when the falls in Yosemite are running. Mariposa has it's butterfly festival, and parade (usually the first weekend in May.) The poppies in the Briceburg canyon are breath-taking. Fall is also wonderful; Starting with the Labor Day Parade and old fashioned Mariposa County Fair. I love the colors that come with the changing of the leaves, and the crisp air. Winter is great, especially if we have a few snows! The Mariposa Christmas parade is usually the first weekend in December, as is the annual Christmas Craft fair. Yosemite offers some fun activities at the Ahwanee, as well as ice skating, and skiing in the village, or it's always fun to drive there to see the Lord's majestic Creation. It's also fun to just relax at Grace Oak's Cozy Hollow... away from the hustle and on the porch and watch for deer, (which I see here everyday) wild turkeys, quail,& rabbits, while you enjoy a good book...
( and I just saw a coyote there today.) Roast marshmellows around our gas fire pit, or hang out under the stars in our Hot tub. Nothing beats a family Christmas away from the city. Get away and remember what a simple quiet Christmas is really all about. You can't beat the price... two bedrooms, a gathering room and a kitchen for the same price of one little stuffy hotel room. What do you have to lose?. ;)

Comfy spot for our Yosemite getaway

We had a great time watching movies and walking around the neighboring area. The property was very comfortable and just as described, and it was easy to find as well. The town where the property is located has a nice downtown area with great restaurants, pharmacies, and other amenities. We’d recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet place for their vacation.

Great stay at Cozy Bear Hollow in early October

We stayed at the Cozy Bear Hollow for several days in early October while visiting Yosemite. We loved the cabin -- it was very clean and nicely decorated with high quality furnishings and Western decor (with many nods to bears), had very comfortable beds, and had a beautiful, fully stocked kitchen. We loved the peace and quiet in the evening, punctuated late at night by the occasional yipping of coyotes, and the view of the stars from the back porch was lovely. This part of California was experiencing a heat wave during our stay (highs near 100) -- fortunately the air conditioning worked very well. The cabin was convenient to Yosemite (well, as convenient as it can be when you are not actually staying in the park), and the little town of Mariposa was very quaint. We enjoyed several of the restaurants in Mariposa -- the 1850 Restaurant, Hideout Saloon, and Happy Burger Diner. Owner Victoria was an absolute pleasure to work with, and check in was very easy. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Yosemite, and would highly recommend to friends and family.

Cozy stay

We sincerely enjoyed your home!! The beds were super comfy. The owner quickly responded to our messages. The hot tub is cozy for 4 adults but doable, the clubhouse is smaller than expected as well as the pool table was not full size, but the guys had fun. The kitchen was fairly well stocked, could use some updated frying pans for sure., but we again managed. We would stay again for sure. This house made a great home for our long weekend!!

Comfortable Staging Area for Yosemite

Very nice house for our visit to Yosemite. Beds were extremely comfortable. Enjoyed the deck area for winding down in the evening after a long day at the park. Owner (Victoria) was very sweet & helpful. Mariposa is just down the road. Lots of restaurants to choose from. The pictures of the house are what you will get. No surprises. Thanks for a wonderful 3 nights.

Perfect

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. It was an amazing stay. It is in a very quiet area with a good cozy feel to the place. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in after a day of hiking.

Def cozy and welcoming!

Name and listing is accurate! Everything you need as far as amenities. Loved the hot tub after all day at Yosemite, which is very close (about 45 min). Showers/tub bit dated but okay. Could use a bit of tlc on the outside.

Perfect little place for a family

Cozy bear hollow is just like the name describes; cozy. It was perfect for our family of four who were visiting Yosemite. The house was clean, plenty of linens and towels provided. The only drawback is the driveway, its not paved so you have to go slow especially in the dark. We were able to spot some wild hares near the house and the kids really enjoyed that. We'll definitely come back again!

Amazing stay

Place is just perfect for a weekend getaway. Very cozy and intimate. Has everything we needed, bbq, hot tub, kitchen, 2 bedroomS, 2 Bathrooms... Hosts very easy to connect with too. Would definitely recommend to everyone staying around Yosemite

Great Yosemite Getaway

Really fits the description as a perfect "Cozy" getaway after a long day in the park. We treated ourselves to this retreat after conquering Half Dome and truly appreciated the Jacuzzi! Plenty of space for everyone and appreciated the full kitchen and dining room to enjoy a great meal together. The heater worked wonderfully. Will definitely recommend to all our friends coming to Mariposa!

Charming and Inviting.

Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. Living room was large and comfortable. The kitchen was not only big, but had every utensil, bowl and cooking implement that we could imagine. We loved sitting on the deck and the hot tub was relaxing. We were delighted with our stay and plan to return. We have already referred other family members and friends.

Exceptional Accommodations!

Victoria responded quickly with directions and tips to get to the place. She was also super helpful to assist with extending our stay when I entered the dates wrong. We were so pleased with our stay and the accommodations at Cozy Bear Hollow. It was private and had everything we needed to relax after day hikes in Yosemite (which was pretty close!). Everyone slept comfortably. Such a pleasant experience with cozy touches everywhere. I would recommend Cozy Bear Hollow to anyone looking to come out this way!

Loved this beautiful home

We had a wonderful experience at the Cozy Bear Hollow! Beautiful house and wonderful service by Victoria! We definitely recommend to anyone that would want an easy place to stay near Yosemite or for a cozy, fun getaway for the weekend! The house has everything you need and allows dogs. Cute cozy cabin

Our stay at cozy bear was delightful. We loved the place and will probably be back in the summer. It has everything we needed outside of some olive oil, we picked up coffee and some food to cook. The book she has there explained a lot. That was nice. The restaurants in town were great and there’s a grocery store and rite aid. It was about an hour to Yosemite. Yosemite was beautiful. We saw deer and loved the cooler weather and having coffee ☕️ in the morning. A lot of beauty to take in. Nice quiet time reflecting and reading. Thank you Victoria. Hope to stay again. Relaxing, comfortable, cozy stay

As our trip to the Yosemite park was the highlight of family gathering, I only wanted to get the perfect place for us. And this place couldn't be more right. It had everything we wanted -- a kitchen that even had a rice cooker (since my parents always needed rice for their meal), nice dining table, clean bathrooms and a hot tub outside. We were just so happy that we stayed here. Would recommend to friends and family when they are planning to visit Yosemite area.

We love the location; Close to town; surrounded by mountains; Private, nestled in the trees. If you're looking for a five star hotel, Cozy Bear Hollow is probably not for you. But if you're looking or a cozy, private, woodsy 2 bedroom place, out of town, yet just minutes from town, for less than the cost of a local hotel room... If you enjoy sitting in a hot tub, surrounded by trees, or BBQ ing on a private deck. ....You may really enjoy Cozy Bear Hollow.
