They chose this home because of it's lovely, quiet and spacious ambiance. The whole house is on one level for your ultimate comfort and convenience,
Located only 3 miles from Tanglewood and midway between Lenox and Stockbridge, in a private setting on over three acres, this artist designed home has cathedral ceilings in all rooms. It features a private, luxurious and spacious, 1000 sq. ft. primary bedroom suite with interior jacuzzi tub plus an indoor and outdoor shower. There are two additional bedrooms in a separate wing, each with their own bathroom.
Skylights are everywhere and designed to let in the light. Mountain views are visible from many rooms.
Granite and marble countertops, white pickled hardwood floors, a fully equipped kitchen, down comforters, luxurious linens and all the amenities make this stunning house a special experience.
There are gardens and decks surround most of the house. A redwood screened porch surrounded by lovely flower gardens complete the picture.
Many well known International musicians have stayed here and continue to return to this very peaceful, art filled and elegant home.

My wife is a dancer/singer/ photographer & I am a visual artist/set designer. We are artists who do creative projects in many locations; from designing theatrical sets for Shakespeare & Co in Lenox to mounting exhibitions of our work.
Additionally, we redesign and construct houses, with this house being the crown jewel of our endeavors and as such is a sanctuary.

This house was originally built by a well known educator who started a school in Stockbridge in the 1960's. He had this beautiful, small Modern house designed and built.
My wife and I later designed an addition and redesigned the interior, completeing the work in '05.
Because the setting is so beautiful, we designed the house to bring the
outside in. We accomplished this by using windows & skylights copiously throughout and also, by designing cathedral ceilings in every room. The white pickled ash flooring throughout bounces the light. When one is here, there is a sense of quietude and peacefulness which resonates throughout. All the fixtures and materials used are top shelf and the workmanship is of the highest quality.
All of this, and you're only a short 3 mile drive north on Rt. 183 to Tanglewood & Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. In the other direction, head south on Rt 183 and you'll find Stockbridge center in about 6 minutes. On your way to town you'll pass the Berkshire Botanical gardens and the Norman Rockwell Museum.
We are confident you will find this a comfortable and lovely home in the perfect
location for your Berkshire retreat.

My wife and I instantly fell in love with this house 25 years ago because of it's style, beauty, solitude and tranquility. It is centrally located and minutes to many cultural venues, including Tanglewood, which is just up the road. Stockbridge Bowl is a stones throw away.
