Barbara and Art were excellent hosts. They thought of many little things to make your stay more enjoyable, going above and beyond. The house was in an excellent location with short distances to many vacation sites. The house was pristine as well as the pool. TV in the living room and every bedroom was a real treat since usually only the master has a TV. Kitchen was extremely well stocked. While it is in the city, it is very private with secuded seating spots in both the front and back yard. Highly recommend this vacation home

Phenomenal stay yet again!

We had a terrific stay on Walnut in Lancaster for the third time! Barbara is the most considerate host, the place has everything you need and is immaculate, and the pool is tons of fun! Highly recommend this house and host for a great trip!

This is a return visit to this beautiful property. Our host thought of every detail and was easy to reach for questions and communication. The location is perfect. Right in the middle of the city, but somehow also private. Walkable to everything we wanted to do. The home is laid out perfectly and expertly designed. A great location for family reuniting.

Above and beyond

We had a great time in Lancaster. Barbara went above and beyond to make our stay extra special over Easter with our children. We would definitely stay again if we come back to town!

Another fantastic stay!

We’ve been visiting this home for four years now and it doesn’t disappoint! Barbara and Art are incredibly generous and responsive hosts, the property is thoughtful, immaculate, and exactly as great as advertised and Lancaster is charming to walk, shop, and dine in. We can’t wait to return next year!

Good Place to Stay

The hosts were very gracious and hospitable. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The pool was great. We were able to walk to dinner and sone activities because the house was located downtown. It's a good place to stay.

Spacious, quirky, fun, family-friendly, ideally located. Our extended family enjoyed our short fall trip to Lancaster. Thanks to Barbara’s tips on where to eat, shop, and play, we had a blast. The house was the most organized and well-stocked of any rental I’ve booked. We didn’t do much cooking, but the kitchen had everything we would have needed.

Beautiful property, stunning hospitality, and premiere location.

Barb and Art gave attentions to every detail of decor and hospitality. This was a beautiful and comfortable homebase for our family vacation during the holidays. Communication was excellent, and we were overwhelmed by the kind and generous touches, including coffee and pastries. Every one of their five stars is well deserved. We will definitely be reserving this property again.

Amazing time in Lancaster

Barbara's home is in an exceptional location. We enjoyed walking to downtown which was a short walk away. The kids enjoyed the pool too! Barbara was so wonderful with great tips of places to explore. An added bonus was the yummy baked goods she provided and a lawn blanket we could use at Long Park. Thank you for such a memorable vacation!

This location is decorated with impeccable style and flair, and the host’s attention to detail sets it apart. The beds are all super comfy, it is air-conditioned, the pool is refreshing, and the sweet local treats the host provides are delectable. Our kids are young adults and they loved the artsy and sophisticated nature of this home. Parking is beside the house and adequate for our family

Not just a place to stay but an experience.

I have stayed at this property a few times. I have stayed in the summer, early spring, early fall and over the Christmas and New Year holiday. I have enjoyed the property, location, unique character and most importantly the hosts Barbara and Art. Quite honestly I dont like to leave raving reviews of my favorite places because then the properties become less available and this property is booked frequently. Oh well… its a great stay and I highly recommend choosing this property.

Coming Home!

Art on Walnut is such a gem! I grew up in Lancaster and came back to visit family. The house was the perfect home base for gathering. Great amenities; comfy beds; the pool!!! Barb was so accommodating and generous, and the communication was excellent, letting us know when she would be over to clean the pool and water the plants. The property is in the city, so there is the normal amount of urban noise, but the house is set back from the street and has a very secluded feel. Thanks Barb and Art!

Christmas at Art on Walnut

There's five-star and then there is beyond five-star. This unit far exceeded expectations. This is now our third stay and each experience has been better than one before. Our hostess, as with our previous bookings, was engaging, hospitable and accommodating. The bakery goodies and coffee were greatly appreciated. The Christmas decorations added significant charm and beauty to the interior surroundings. I highly recommend Art on Walnut to all vacationers planning a trip to Lancaster County at any time of the year.

This was the perfect place for our late summer family vacation. Location is great — walking distance to restaurants/breweries and Lancaster attractions like the science factory and the central market, easy driving to other family fun in the area. Plus the pool is beautifully maintained and very large for a backyard pool (particularly in an urban neighborhood) .. my kids loved it. The house itself is spacious, well appointed, and very clean and there is care and character in the decor. Barbara was very friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with, and she puts a lot of time and energy into maintaining the house and helping guests enjoy their stay. For example, it was very nice that we didn’t need to supply our own charcoal for the grill or firewood for the fire pit. Barbara even supplied fresh pastries at checkin and stocked the pantry with snacks. I would absolutely book this house for any future stays in Lancaster!

We had an amazing time and did not do hardly any of the things we wanted to. That was only due to the heat, which no one could have predicted. The pool was definitely used that week! Barb was amazing! Felt more like a friend than a host! We did visit the gravesite near the property which has some famous people there and one with a legend of Lancaster. We did visit lock 12 which was nice and there is a 25 foot waterfall I believe Mill Creek Trail. It's right by lock trail. You have to look up how to get to it, it's father down the rock road and the trail is on the left right past a little bridge marked with blue rectangle. Some people were there sifting for gold flakes. The only downfall was the heat..other than that this place was perfect!

It’s amazing to find a spot like this in the middle of Lancaster city. A beautiful neighborhood, walkable to anything you might want to do, and with a pool! Great communication with the host and the house is beautifully decorated and so accommodating. Highly recommend.

Family weekend

Our trip to Lancaster was for a family member's baptism. The accommodations were just what we needed. We had family from different states and enjoyed being able to cook breakfast and lunch together and sip our coffee each morning. We loved being right in Lancaster City, convenient to our local family members. We experienced a warm fall weekend and enjoyed sitting out back as well as taking a walk to downtown Lancaster. Barbara was a wonderful host and answered the few questions we had during our stay. 5 stars all around! We look forward to our next visit!

One of my favorites!

I travel frequently and when I visit the Lancaster area and whenever possible this rental is always top of my list. The location is great, the accommodations always surpasses my expectations and the hosts are awesome ! Thank you Barbara snd Art
