Enjoy the best of Scottsdale, without the crowds! This party-free, single level home is a separate house, not a condo or townhouse. The spacious split floor plan maximizes privacy for two couples or four friends. A comfortable leather sleeper sofa in the living room is the perfect place you enjoy a quiet evening at home with a view of your own private pool. A modern entertainment center and bar with a 60" smart TV give you plenty of entertainment options. A desk and chair are also nearby if you need to take care of some business during your stay.
In the light filled kitchen you will find granite counters and stainless appliances and everything you need to enjoy your stay, including an ice maker, a warming drawer, a microwave, washer and dryer, Keurig and drip coffee makers, toaster, blender and plenty of dishes. Wish so many amazing restaurants and happy hours nearby, you might only use the kitchen for your leftovers!
In each of the two large bedrooms you will find plush mattresses with high end linens to ensure a great nights sleep after a day of playing in the sun. In the master suite, a King size bed, private ensuite and his and hers closets welcome you to your own retreat. Step outside the French doors to your covered poolside patio. In the guest bedroom, you will find a Queen size bed, desk and comfortable leather arm chair and a French door access to the covered poolside patio. A 3 piece washroom with bathtub are conveniently located just outside your door, down a private hall.
The back yard features a sparkling new pebble tec pool and a fully fenced yard. The covered patio with gas grill has plenty of poolside seating including a dining table and loungers by the pool. There are plenty of pool towels and noodles if you fancy a dip and some tan time. You also have a 2 car attached garage for your convenience.
This well appointed Scottsdale home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood within 10 minutes of West World, Spring Training baseball fields, Mayo Clinic, Keirland, Scottsdale Quarter and only 15 minutes from Old Town Scottsdale. Within 2 miles you will find hundreds of restaurants like Pei Wei, Twin Peaks, several great local breweries, Best Buy, Sam's Club, TPC golf, spas and the deliciously fun Senora Village Luxury Cinemas.
Double pane glass French doors and tinted windows fill this home with lots of light and quiet inside. A new roof, insulation and also add to the feeling of a tranquil oasis. A new HVAC unit with electrostatic air filter and air scrubber with UV light and ozone ensure fresh clean air inside too!
If you have looked at a map and noticed this home is close to the freeway you are probably wondering if it is noisy. While searching for your perfect, quiet serene Scottsdale vacation home, the map doesn't always tell the whole story. When this portion of the Loop 101 was built, it was part of a pilot program, which installed a 1 inch think rubber/asphalt layer over the concrete to help mitigate noise. Next they installed a thick textured acoustic wall which absorbs, blocks and bounces the sound over Villa Lamar. That means being within 100 feet of the wall is actually one of the quietest places to be! Walk the neighborhood and you will be surprised to see the noise a few blocks away is louder than it is by the pool at Villa Lamar! With the double pane French doors, you will be surprised at how quiet the home actually is inside, and you won't have to raise your voice to talk in the back yard either. Guests who return every year, say that freeway walls makes Villa Lamar one of the best kept secret deals in Scottsdale!

As the retired owner of Scottsdale's largest freestanding resort-style spa, customer service is my passion. One day, one of our seasonal spa guests said they were having trouble finding an affordable furnished home for their Scottsdale visits. They needed a home, without stairs, that would allow their beloved, well behaved family dog. They didn't want a noisy condo or a shared pool. In short, they wanted a private home at a condo price. I realized, they were describing my own house, and since I wanted to move to a larger home anyway, I decided to move and rent them mine. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. I have made some really great friends, including many guests who return each year!

In a word, value and location. Okay, that was two words! We looked at tons of places and, I thought the only way I could afford vaulted ceilings, granite counters, travertine floors, a mountain view, a two car garage and a pool was in a condo, but I had gotten used to the privacy of a single family home. I didn't want to listen to neighbors fighting and kids screaming in the pool! I was a little concerned with how close the house was to the 101 but as soon as I shut the doors, I forgot all about the freeway! The double pane windows keep it quiet and cool and the extra tall wall makes the yard and pool extra quiet. Arizona was the first place to use a 1 inch layer of rubber on the freeways to make them quieter and it really works! http://asa.scitation.org/doi/10.1121/1.4780322
I got everything on my wish list and I didn't have to pay thousands a year in HOA dues! Over the years, I completed upgrades like replacing the carpets, with stone floors, resurfacing the pool with pebble tec, putting in a new turf lawn, new roof, new double pane windows and AC with air scrubbers until the home was just right. Now renters love the same things I did about the home: It has all the benefits of a freestanding home for the price of a condo. And without condo fees, I can pass the savings along to the guests. Judging by the number of return guests each year, Loop 101 is actually a pretty good neighbor!
