Welcome to "Best of Both Beaches!" ...
No need to choose which beach to go to in York... this bright, happy beach is between both Short Sands AND Long Sands Beaches! Just STEPS from Short Sands, a few blocks from Long Sands Beach, and walking distance to Nubble Lighthouse. You'll just love the house and the location! The large enclosed front porch welcomes you and you'll love to hang out there after a day at the beach. This is a WHOLE house with separate living room, dinning room and spacious kitchen (not all tucked into the same one room) and bedrooms on 2nd floor. And a NEW Outdoor Shower to enjoy after a wonderful day at the beach. Washer & Dryer on first floor

There is plenty of room for everyone to hang out on the first floor with hard wood floors in full size living room and dining room. Sunny living room with charming fireplace and sleeper couch (if a relative comes for a night) offers space for all to hang out after a day exploring York. No need to keep running upstairs with a half bathroom on the first floor!

Enjoy meals and board games on the large dinning room table in the separate bright dining room with built-in china hutch. You can cook out back with the GAS Grill. Get supper ready in the fully stocked sunny kitchen with ceramic floors. A wonderful bonus screened-in back porch where everyone can come for lunch with their bathing suits still on. Or come back at the end of the beach day and leave all their gear, or just sit and chat with folks in the kitchen. WiFi included.

Air Conditioning on the first & second floor for those rare super hot days.

Be ready to fight over who gets the 2 of the 3 bedrooms with an OCEAN VIEW! The 2nd floor has a full bath room with shower/tub, 3 bedrooms (2 rooms have 1 full bed, 1 has 2 single beds) and cozy carpet on the whole second floor! We have many guests who come back year after year to this special "Best of Both Beaches" house, so make your reservation before it is too late.

Just walk down the hill to enjoy all of downtown York Beach, with its bandstand, Ellis Park, playground, basketball courts, shops, and Goldenrod taffy!

We do NOT allow guests to bring pets regardless of size, fur/hair, training or age of pet. Thank you.

Winter Rentals (6 month minimum) available October-May, but does not include heat, Wifi, cable tv or snow removal. One month security required with 90+ day rental.

Sarah was a fantastic host. She was proactive and responsive whenever we reached out to her. The check in and check out expectations were well communicated. We loved the location to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Such a fantastic beach spot for the family.

Easy visit to short sands

This rental week be an easy rebook for me and my family. Everyone enjoyed their rooms, and the screened in front porch was an amazing easy to spend down time between trips to the beach. The beach was so close we were walking from the rental to short sands 3+ times a day. And let me say that Sarah is a fantastic host. Book this rental with confidence!

Amazing location!

This house is in the absolute best location! 2 minute easy walk to short sands and easy 6 minute walk to long sands. Sarah was very communicative and helpful. The front porch is great for sitting and visiting while the kids play. The house was spotless. Outdoor shower was a great treat. Walked everywhere from beach to shops to restaurants, playgrounds, park etc. house is relaxing and calm. Parking was easy. Would 100% rent this property again!

Vacation 2022

We had a wonderful week! Location was perfect, a short 2 minute walk to short sands beach. Sarah was very responsive- when we needed new lightbulbs for the bathroom she had them there the same day. Didn’t use back porch as it was much to hot during our stay..did sit on front porch when it wasn’t too humid-only thing I wish was that seats on front porch were a little higher to see out (not really a complaint, just a wish). Overall a nice place to stay,can’t wait for next year.

Great week!

We loved our stay on York— we’ve been coming annually for a long time, but with a toddler we decided it would be better to have a house to come home to. This really worked out for us! The house is very welcoming. The kitchen has everything you’d need to cook, and there is plenty of space to spread out. We used both porches, and the laundry was a lifesaver. The location is perfect- we walked comfortably to both beaches. Downtown is right around the corner for snacks and coffee. We love when things are walkable, so this location worked out great! Sarah was very communicative and helpful. We can’t wait to go back!

The perfect house for us!

My husband has been coming to York every summer since he was a kid and when we got together we decided to continue the tradition. This is the 4th house that we have rented over the years and we finally found a house that we will book again! The house is a great size, there is plenty of space in the rooms and the closets. It is so perfectly located between both beaches and town. The hosts were great, very responsive and even gave us a text reminder to take out the trash! Just a warning that there is no outdoor shower or spigot so things can get a little sandy. And the driveway is very tight on one side but manageable. Overall a really great visit and we can't wait to come back!

Little Yellow Cottage

This house is perfect for your beach vacation! It is a quick walk to the Short Sands Beach, the arcade and the shops. Sarah was very easy to deal with and got back to me right away with any questions. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen and baths were cleaned professionally in between renters but the other areas were done by the previous renter which keeps the cleaning fee down.

Great vacation

Perfect size and location!

5 minutes to Short Sands and 10 minutes to Long Sands. Open, clean and updated. Wonderfully functional! We had a blast and Sarah was the best!

Surpassed expectations!

Wonderful house...Clean, updated, inviting and comfortable with a location that can’t be beat! Very short walk to short sands beach and all the town has to offer and a manageable walk to long sands, even with younger kids. Sarah was accommodating and answered all our questions ahead of our trip and was there to greet us when we arrived to check in. Thank you for a wonderful home for a week and memories to last a lifetime!

Perfect Beach Vacation Spot!

This house is the perfect spot for our family of 6! The central location makes it an easy walk to Long Sands Beach in one direction or Short Sands Beach, the playground, basketball courts, and downtown shops in the other direction. After a quick stop at the grocery store, we can easily park our car for the week and walk to whatever we need! We love the screened front porch, the large living room, and fully stocked kitchen. We have stayed there two consecutive summers and look forward to making it three this year!

Great Location!

This is a cute updated and pleasant cottage at a great location. Every thing you need and more. Can walk to Short or Long Sands. Owners are very nice and responsive. Would recommend for couples and small families.

We love it!!

Our family of 4 has rented this adorable house for the past 2 summers and we love it! So close to downtown and the beaches. Many new updates/renovations provide a warm and comfortable 'home away from home' for our summer vacation! Sarah and Herb are wonderful home owners and take pride in their property to ensure all guest have a great stay! Highly recommended!

Perfect Location

Making memories! That's what my wife and I say when we stay here. We have 2 boys, 3 and 5 and have stayed at 7 Broadway two years in a row and will be making it three years next year. Its perfect for us and has room to spare. The best part is we are right around the corner from short sands and long sands so both beaches and are easily accessible. Cute enclosed front porch the kids can play on in the early AM before walking to the sand playground to kick off another day at the beach. Owners are wonderful and very accommodating. Can't wait for next summer....

Hello travelers! Our name is Sarah and Herb. We have owned this wonderful house, 7 Broadway, since 2013 as well as the two houses beside this house 5 Broadway (2 bedroom) and 3 Broadway (8 bedroom). Herb has been vacationing in York with his family since he was a child. We love York Beach and our proud to share our houses with our special guests so they can enjoy this magical town with their families every year. We are so pleased to have guests come back every year to our houses and now consider these houses an important part of their family tradition! The location of our houses were chosen to be convenient to both beaches AND the downtown food and fun. Welcome to a great vacation!
