Romantic getaway overlooking breathtaking views of the aquamarine Caribbean Sea and spectacular sunsets, Alamanda Sea View Apt. is a beautiful one-bedroom retreat with AC, Wi-Fi, Cable TV, laundry and fully equipped kitchen.

Within 8 to 10 minutes driving distance from most amenities Alamanda Sea View Apartment is conveniently located on the West Coast of Barbados; near beautiful beaches, world renowned restaurants of the Cliff and Cin Cin among others, bars and liming spots, as well as supermarkets, Sandy Lane Golf courses, banks and the duty-free shopping districts of Warrens and Holetown.

Good for couples, lovers, singles, business travelers, friends and families with children.

The space

The Apartment is clean and completely self-contained with its own access from the side of the family home. It is situated facing the sea which lends to the beautiful ambiance and the most amazing views of the ocean with cruise liners and other pleasure craft sailing along the coast.

The bedroom is very spacious, breezy with lots of closets and a lovely
en-suite. It houses a queen bed as well as a queen air bed which quickly inflates if required.

The ground floor houses a cozy dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.
A selection of magazines, novels, games and CD's are available for guests’ entertainment.

The space comfortably accommodates the airbed when required. This arrangement is suitable for families with children or friends travelling in groups in addition to couples.

Guest access

At your disposal is a beautiful flower garden with lounge chairs for sunbathing and relaxing in privacy and serenity. While enjoying a coffee or a glass of wine you may see a family of monkeys strolling by. You can also enjoy the various species of birds frolicking around the feeding pan on the lawn and children will love the space the yard affords them to play.

Excellent apartment

This was our first stay at this apartment. It is part of the owners home but with its own separate entrance and it’s in a very quiet residential area. Denise the owner is extremely hospitable without being intrusive and we shared a lovely breakfast with her one day which was much appreciated. The apartment is on 2 floors with fabulous sea views. The top floor is a very large room for sleeping with a good sized bed ,with chairs and a TV along with a good sized bathroom and downstairs is a very well equipped kitchen and eating area. There is air conditioning on both floors and a small laundry room upstairs. Denise left us some bread butter eggs milk coffee and wine which was a kind gesture and much appreciated after a long flight. You can also use the garden and sun chairs are provided. We had a car which I would recommend . There is public transport nearby but being in a residential area there aren’t amenities right on your doorstep. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would recommend this apartment.

My fascination for different cultures I am sure germinated from my wonderful childhood in Trinidad and Tobago. There I was exposed to and experienced a very cultural and cosmopolitan society growing up around people who had Chinese, Indian, Portuguese, African, and Caucasian cultures, not to mention the different nationalities. My family were from the French, Dutch and English West Indies and those who migrated added a Danish, English and American flair to the mix.
Having traveled extensively I feel that I continue on my journey of cultural enrichment of people and places.
I look forward to sharing this with you.

Alamanda Sea View Apartment while self contained with its own entrance is part of a family home. The property overlooks the most spectacular view of the ocean which was our motivation for purchasing the home.

It is in a quiet neighbourhood which takes one away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas and affords guests interaction with the locals and insight into how we live.

It is very private, very relaxing and offers the tranquility one needs when on vacation but close enough to enjoy the best of what the island has to offer.

Conveniently located to launch off to most everything on the island. A few minutes walk to public transportation to Bridgetown, but with a car rental 8 - 10 minutes to most restaurants, beautiful beaches, commercial districts and duty free shopping in the Warrens and West Coast environs.

On the West Coast, liming spots, bars and tourist attractions are all a stone's throw away.

If you are up to playing dominoes with the locals at Lawrence's hang out, swimming in the glistening aquamarine sea, sipping wine while watching the sunset at dusk, cooking in the fab kitchen at Alamanda, sipping rum on a rum tour at Mount Gay, watching the chattering family of monkeys frolicking in the garden, having a romantic dinner at the Cliff or Cin Cin or partaking in some local Bajan fare at Wendy's or some golf at Sandy Lane, Alamanda Sea View Apartment is the place to stay.

As a foodie myself you may even like to cook a local meal together and swap cultural experiences.
