Harbour's Edge Homestay in Clarks Beach

Relax and unwind at this lovely 1 bedroom apartment on the southern shores of the Manukau harbour.

• Waterfront property perfect walks on the beach
• Magnificent sunrises and sunsets
• 50 minute drive from CBD

Step outside the front door and have the gentle waves of the harbour lapping just metres away from you. Perhaps enjoy the use of kayaks which can be launched at the private boat ramp or relax with a book under a sun umbrella. As the sun goes down, the deck is the perfect place to be for happy hour and spending some quality time with friends or family.

The apartment is situated on the bottom floor or a two-story home and contains a spacious double bedroom, bathroom and a private living area with indoor and outdoor seating. It also has a bunk room with 2 bunks. Each bunk has a double bed on the bottom, and single on top. In total, Harbour's Edge can sleep 8 people. The extra 6 people will be at a cost of $40 each.

Local amenities within a 10-minute walk include: Clarks beach golf course, Chin wags restaurant, Cafe Sol, a legendary fish and chip shop with ‘the best fish burger around’, local bottle shop and dairy.

Great location, loved the ocean front, clean, no stove or cook top but did offer a BBQ. Little issue with ants but after we took out garbage immediately, the dispersed. Wendy was a wonderful hostess. Absolutely would recommend this home.

Awesome location

Booked this property for my sister and her husband who came over from the UK and they where sorry they couldn’t stay longer.they loved the views and the peace and quiet, having breakfast on the deck right by the waters edge and watching the sun go down at night. Would definitely recommend this property to other friends and family.

Relaxing weekend away

We had a fabulous time at this property. The location is stunning and very calming watching the tide come in and out while sitting on the sunny deck. Wendy was a wonderful host and the property was well appointed and clean. We also enjoyed befriending her dog Tilly :)

Right on sea

We loved Wendy’s home by the sea. This is such a lovely relaxing place with the sea at our doorstep - actually. The house is spotless and very comfortable, just what we needed. Perfect location for evening wine, bird watching and seeing the fish jump in front of the desk. Thanks heaps Wendy!

Beautiful stay

Fabulous location right on the seashore. Magnificent outside decked area and spotlessly clean. Would suggest a book with instructions for guests as I didn’t get to meet anyone at check-in, during my stay or check out so I wasn’t sure about recycling, where to leave keys, etc. Could have used a hairdryer, kitchen towel, salt and pepper, etc. However, a fabulous stay and great for beach combing, paddling, sunbathing, etc. The fish and chip shop is great and there’s a small grocery shop and liquor store right next to it.

The place really needed air conditioning... it's was really muggy the first night we were there.

Very clean and well presented, amazing location... driveway not for the feint hearted. Our WiFi never worked and the owner didn't reply to any messages. No air con made life a bit sweaty. Was a good place to stay, but some improvements could make it amazing.

We booked for 2 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Wendy was a wonderful host. The place was nicely appointed with everything you need for a home away from home. Note driveway was a bit of a struggle for our Suzuki swift but with a run up we made it

A true piece of paradise

If you are wanting a stop and chill place this is a property for you. The pictures just don't do it Justice and our 1st impression was WOW... Don't let the driveway scare you as it is steep. Wendy was the perfect host and was a lovely surprise having a few Easter treats waiting for us along with her fur babies saying a quick hello , we felt relaxed and at home. The only cooking facilities is a microwave but that didn't bother us as we were prepared. There is a small shopping/eatery complex close by if you want to eat out . With the ever moving natural scenery of nature and bird life we didn't even pick up the books we took to read.. it is a place to be totally in the moment . The Kayaks were a great asset to get out on the water and beach walks were perfect. Thanks for sharing you home Wendy - it was Fabulous .

Little slice of paradise!

Such a beautiful property and a stunning view! Had everything we needed and more. Wendy was great with communication and instructions on how to find the property, she didn't mind that we arrived late at night due to traveling. She came and Introduced herself and made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we may need.

A beautiful location

Delightful place & a very comfortable property, right on the seashore. Only challenge was a very steep access driveway that actually looked worse than it was & wasn’t a problem.

Best kept secret

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Clarks Beach. It surpassed all of our expectations. Wendy has done a great job of creating a beautiful haven on the edge of the Manukau. We'll definitely be back!

Haven on the Waters Edge

Clean and tidy accommodation with a large deck to the waters edge. Separate bedroom kitchen and lounge. Nice restaurant and takeaways around the corner.
