This is a premier ocean facing studio apartment in the wonderful Blue on Blue resort on Magnetic Island. A 2nd level floor, corner apartment with uninterrupted water views. The unit is perfectly positioned to access the two swimming pools including the magnificent 100 metre resort lagoon pool and just a short walk to supermarkets, cafes, other restaurants, public transport, the ferry terminal and Nelly Bays many other conveniences.



This studio apartment features an ensuite, queen bed with open plan lounge, full size fridge & nespresso machine. There is a large screen TV and comfortable lounge.



This property is professionally managed by Magnetic Island's leading accommodation business Best of Magnetic.



The Boardwalk restaurant and day Spa are located onsite at the resort and are available for bookings during your stay.



Please note - You are required to walk up stairs to get to this room.

Magnetic Island is located 8km from Townsville and accessible by passenger or vehicle ferries.

67% of Magnetic Island is National Park Land, allowing for 36km of walking tracks with Australian wildlife like Koalas, Echidnas, Wallabys and many different birds. These tracks lead to magnificent views of the Island, its bays and surrounding blue Coral Sea.



Getting Around:

Magnetic Island can be easily accessed by the public bus service and taxis.

If you prefer to travel at your own pace there are hire cars available once on the Island. Parking is available.

Public Transport options are a close walking distance from Blue on Blue Studio Room 1272.

never been to magnetic island before

very convenient to the ferry terminal, IGA, SOS restaurant; good parking facility, very clean swimming pool; great view of the harbour and ferries coming in --- never a dull moment ! All in all, a great stay

We checked into our studio room which had a pungent and vile smell, we traced it to the hot water cylinder which is in the wardrobe. We bled the HWS and ran the water for 15 minutes. The host brought over some nil odour and it became acceptable. The crockery, cutlery and glassware were dirty. The bifold windows were filthy, caked in sea-spray and dust. The property may have been empty for a while but it needed to be checked and a freshen up clean prior to our check in. There was zero sound privacy with the neighbouring unit next door. A dead microwave sitting on the floor and a dead coffee machine on top of the fridge. The location is perfect, ferry, bus, IGA all on the doorstep, beautiful pools, bar and restaurant onsite. The view whilst the bifold windows were open and if sitting at the window bar was spectacular. We stayed 1 week for the Magnetic Island sailing regatta. A thank you to the staff that helped with the nil odour, coat hangers and the removal of the dead appliances.

Great central location

Enjoyed our stay. Good size space for 2 people. Thought we might be able to hear the barges as they were so close but we couldn't. Can hear guests next door unfortunately but not a huge issue.

At first when we arrived we were happy with our room. Then on being there a while longer we found the lack of a wall and instead there was a roller door between us and our neighbours to be both a surprise and very intrusive to our privacy. Therefore I cannot recommend this room to anyone. We did however manage to love the island and all it had to offer and would definitely return and stay somewhere else. What a shame.

It was a great position and v comfortable

Easy to rent. Booking and checked in Done in 6 mins. Concerned about a previous comment re privacy which proved to be no problem at all. Couldn’t be happier - central to everything

Waterfront is delightful

Great. ocean veiws

We have stayed at this unit before and will again. The unit is very clean and modern , and has nice veiws of ocean. We like it because it is adjoined to the marina and we put our boat in there. The transport whether it be bus or taxi is right next door as is the ferry terminal,
