Custom designed - The English basement 2 bedroom apartment was rebuilt from the studs out to be comfortable, private, fun and zero hassle.

Experienced hosts - We have been hosts for many years, hosting over 500 guests across 4 listings with excellent reviews.

3 beds - Each bedroom has a queen size bed and the living room has a queen size sofa bed. The apartment comfortably sleeps 6 guests.

Convenience - We stock the kitchen with all the kitchen ware you'll need if you decide to do some cooking and have a great drip coffee maker with coffee provided.

Great location - The neighborhood is centrally located in the city and great public transit makes accessing the many nearby attractions easy! The U.S. Capitol and the White House are both 3 miles away. Several fun restaurants and bars are walkable. The Rhode Island metro station is half a mile and a quick 10 minute walk away.

Free Parking - our street has abundant unrestricted parking so guests have free guest parking access for multiple cars. While we cannot guarantee there will be a space directly in front of the house there will definitely be one very close by.

Guest Access:
Coded entry - Our passcode access allows for easy entry at your convenience. You can check in on your own using the code we send any time after 3pm so you don't need to stress about check in logistics. The full apartment is yours to enjoy!

The Neighborhood:
The apartment is located in Washington, District of Columbia, United States.

Our neighborhood is very diverse in every way, as is all of D.C., and most urban centers in the United States.

The neighborhood is called Brookland. It is a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors located within a few minutes of all the fun DC attractions. Guests need to be conscious and respectful of the neighbors (no loud noise outside at night).

Getting Around:

Other Things to Note:
Kitchen: The kitchen is great for general cooking needs and has a stove/oven, coffee machine, microwave, hot water kettle, pots and pans, cookware, and a refrigerator with freezer.

Heating and Air Conditioning - The unit is heated and cooled using a HVAC forced air system. Temperature is adjusted by messaging the host who controls the temperature for the whole house. Fans and space heaters are also provided. The HVAC unit is located in a closet in the apartment and the fan can be heard when operating.

Laundry: The unit has a deluxe washer and dryer available for your use.

Cleaning: The apartment is professionally cleaned in between every stay.

Access/Mobility Concerns: There are 12 steps up from the street and 5 steps down to the front entrance of the apartment.

Height: This is an English basement apartment so there are a two bulkheads which will need to be avoided.

Noise: We live in this beautiful house (above the apartment) with our two elementary-age kids so while the apartment ceiling is well-insulated, sound may travel. We'll be sure not to host a dance party while you are staying with us, and ask that you show us the same courtesy.

Timing: Check-in anytime after 3:00pm, check-out by 11:00am.
