Perfect for families, groups, and corporate rentals with accommodations for up to 9 people. Downstairs has 2 queen beds, one king, one futon, one full bath, large living area, and W/D. Upstairs has one queen bed, one full bath, full eat-in kitchen, large living room, and deck access to front and back of house. The lake has a 10hp motor restriction (no speed boats) and features a fire pit and canoe for paddling or fishing, although fish can be caught from the shore (fishing license required). Fishing rods and tackle as well as some snow shoes and jackets and boots available for use during your stay. One flat screen tv in each living area, dvd player, and wifi. There is a variety of reading material, games, and outdoor activities for guests of all interests. If there's something in particular you're looking for and don't see it listed here, please ask. If it's available, we'll let you know. We want you to get the most out of your stay in our beautiful state, and we want you to be comfortable in our home.

***We have one security camera in the downstairs living area window facing the driveway. We only activate it when the house is unoccupied for security. Please feel free to unplug the module from the outlet under the window if it makes you feel more comfortable. Please plug it back in before check out.***

Wish we could have stayed longer!

We only booked your home for one night, July 12, as we were travelling through the area. We arrived pretty late, but were able to relax and enjoy a very peaceful, comfortable sleep. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us (3 couples). Your deck is AMAZING and the view is so beautiful looking out over the water. Side note - Being from MN, we love the Loon picture in the bathroom. The title is "Boundary Waters", which 4 out of the 5 of us have been to up in Northern MN. If and when we are in the area again, we will definitely check to see if your place is available. Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing Views and Great Property

Colleen was easy to contact and our stay was wonderful. Great base to explore nearby areas or just stay on property and enjoy the lake. Spent a lot of time on the huge deck overlooking the lake. Plenty of space for our family of 5 adults to spread out and relax.

Four-bedroom Meadow Lakes

First off the place matched the pictures exactly. Plenty of seating for large gatherings, both upstairs, downstairs, inside and out. If there’s an appliance or utensil you need it’s there. The place is well, well stocked they even had multiple heavy jackets, gloves, and hats, including some boots for the guest to use. There was even a cabinet full of games and puzzles for large groups. If I was going to stay in Alaska again with a large group, I wouldn’t hesitate to use this place.

Amazing Vacation

This property is beautiful, right on the lake with a canoe and fishing equipment. perfect location to catch the train. The house is very private and comfortable, it's everything you could possibly need. We will be back!

Beautiful lake house setting

We had a wonderful week at this lovely home with our family. Enjoyed great weather, cooked on the grill, enjoyed the big sunny decks, canoed, met the local swan family and loon family and had a wonderful visit with family. We would definitely go back to this place given the opportunity. Many thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Wonderful Home

This was an awesome experience staying at this comfy home. The location, layout and appointments of the home was great. All our needs were met. Geographically close to grocery, liquor and gas station. I fell in love with this home. If I were to buy a vacation home in this area this would be it. Will definitely book this property on my next trip to the area.

Wish we could stay longer

This place is spotless, great decor and craftsmanship in the house and on the deck. Great waterfront views of the lake. It is well outfitted with every appliance you can think of. Canoe, fishing poles and baby/toddler items available. It does have stairs so not great if there are disabilities but my sister who uses a cane and has severe limp could navigate them slowly as there are two hand railings and she could hold both at the same time while going up and down. I wish I could live here full-time., that’s how good it is.

Beautiful property!

The home and property was amazing, and the owner was so easy to communicate with. The property manager is so sweet and she made our stay so comfortable. To wake up in the mornings with the loons "singing" to us was so awesome. Thank you for a fabulous stay in Alaska!!

The Beauty of Meadow Lakes area

We had seven of us who traveled to Wasilla from Eastern Oregon. The property was one of the best stocked properties we have ever rented. It was as stated on the site. We spent most of our time upstairs and on the lake side deck. We cooked all of our meals except one in the kitchen and never lacked for anything. Fishing on the natural lake wasn't the best but being a natural lake (not stocked) you never know. The kids took the canoe out a couple of times, some swam across to the other shore. We also did Mahays Jet Boat day to Devils Canyon which is highly recommended. The long summer days were amazing. Loved this property.

Perfect Home

Coming from CA w/ my daughter & her 3 kids (13, 8 & 5). I chose this home for a few reasons. The location (10 minutes from my daughters home but also close to food/gas). The view. A lake runs right up to the property. Although I was there during the snow, it was an amazing view on both sides of the property. The space. This was exactly what I needed. I had my daughter & 3 kids downstairs, which they had their own living space (tv, bathroom, couches, 3 bedrooms) and upstairs I had my own space (Livingroom, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom). This was absolutely perfect! I came to visit my youngest daughter, be there for her daughter's 1st birthday, meet the new in-laws and all get together for Thanksgiving. A lot of action in just under a week of a visit. This home made it perfect for this visit. I 100% would come back, even if it was just me alone. A huge thank you for the owners (who I would also like to say are very fast at responding and very accommodating and very nice). Thanks again!

Tranquility Plus

As frequent visitors to AK, we came at this time to relieve the stress of working in health care. The home was in a very quiet setting with great views of Meadow Lake and the surrounding area. Never in our 25+ years of renting vacation properties have we encountered so thoughtfully presented: exceptionally clean and comfortable, every cooking utensil one could desire, and everything in good working order. Colleen maintains an outstanding holiday home which results in a worry-free stay. Just what a holiday should be.

Alaska wedding and vacation

Wedding Getaway

We enjoyed a short weekend here when in Wasilla to attend a wedding. The home was very spacious and very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped - wish we could have stayed a week and taken advantage of everything there, including the canoe! The loons on the lake were amazing. We highly recommend this property for a quiet Alaska getaway.

Awesome Alaska Home

What a welcoming and comfortable home! Beautiful view from almost every window as well as a magnificent deck. Upgraded finishes throughout! A dream kitchen for a cook! Every appliance I needed and more. Only suggestion, a hot pot for tea. But, I enjoy tea throughout the day. Being a VRBO owner in Hawaii, it was fun to see and use the equipment for Alaska weather. The Cadillac Cafe was excellent. Don’t be put off that it is attached to a gas station ! Everest was excellent and we celebrated our granddaughter’s 10th birthday there. They did a great job at making her feel special. The salmon was excellent! Enjoyed that food stores were so close. Loved the swan family that lives on the lake! Could hear the elk or moose calling from the forest. A terrific family vacation! Lots of room downstairs for kids with lots of energy to play! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We will be back!

Absolutely perfect!

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view. We wish we could have stayed longer! Great for multiple couples or families. Spacious home with everything you need. I felt as though I was staying at a friend's home that made sure we had everything we needed. There was a canoe with vests which was a bonus. The deck was unbelievably huge and overlooks a gorgeous lake. The house is an hour from anchorage airport. While there we did the MICA Glacier ice climbing - about an hour the other way. I would highly recommend this VRBO. It exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

Our family retired from the military at Ft. Bragg, NC in 2006 and moved to Alaska to finish raising our children. Randy started his second career working for the state on the Alaska Marine Highway (ferry system), and Colleen started a very rewarding job working for the Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MatSu) as a firefighter. That job excelled over the next six years to becoming an engineer with West Lakes Fire Department and an EMT. Our children are grown and live nearby with grandchildren arriving yearly:)

We recently secured jobs out of state that may become permanent. However, we're not ready to sell our house yet. We've put years into upgrading it, and we just love our home. We receive a lot compliments, and people wonder why we would ever want to leave. We're trying something new in our new found empty nest status, and are hoping to share some of the beauty and comfort of our home with others to enjoy.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We believe we have the best location on the lake for views and access. The lake is a peaceful wildlife breeding area with no loud speedboats or jet skis, although it becomes a roadway for snowmachiners in the winter. The lake freezes to about 2 feet thick making it a perfect place to ice fish, cross-country ski, or snow shoe. There is also a snow machine, ATV, and camper rental dealer in Wasilla for the very adventurous vacationers.
