Live Oak Creek Cabins- Zac's Cabin | Hot Tub | Water Access

One of five charming cabins set just 4 miles from the center of downtown Fredericksburg, you and a guest will love the ability to relax in the scenic Texas Hill Country and then take a short drive to town. Enjoy a king bed, large bathroom, kitchenette with full sized refrigerator, and pleasant private deck featuring a hot tub and electric grill all to yourself. In addition, Live Oak Creek is just off of your doorstep, so a day could easily be spent fishing, paddle boating, or swimming. There is also a bar at the entrance to the property.

Please keep in mind that, since there are four other cabins on the property, they may be occupied by other guests during your stay. Furthermore, there are RV hookups, so other guests might be utilizing those as well.

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

Great place

Zac’s cabin

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin was in a good location, close to town, but feels like you’re far away. The cabin was very nice and clean. We enjoyed evenings in the hot tub, looking at the stars.

We had 3 total families and a great time!

We also had 3 total cabins and a chance to view them all while we stayed 4 nights. Cabins and property were very nice. Our view of the pond and wildlife from the rear porch was a plus. Will definitely recommend this property to our friends.

Relaxing cabin

From the back patio we could see the deer coming for breakfast and dinner. The hot tub added to the experience. My wife loved the rustic farmhouse decor. Great stay

Zac's Cabin was amazing

My wife and I were celebrating our 39th anniversary. It was a wonderful cabin and a great place to stay. We enjoyed our stay so much. The hot tub was like the cherry on top. It was a very relaxing place. We will definitely come back again.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Zac’s place. It is in the country by a creek which was peaceful even though we could hear the highway traffic. (This cabin was the first one in line of several others.) We enjoyed watching the sheep graze.

Birthday Getaway

Stayed here for my wife’s birthday weekend. Property was exactly as described other than the bar/restaurant at the front of the property appeared to be closed during our stay. Everything was clean and prepared for our stay. The hot tub was even already warm upon our arrival. Would definitely recommend this place.

Country Get Away

Convenient to Fredericksburg and surrounding area. Comfortable little acreage with a small flock of sheep. Loved sitting out on the porches enjoying the natural surroundings. Cabin was like new. Would definitely return for another visit.

Great Cabin!

My wife and I were finally able to get a real vacation in 10 years and we wanted to come to Fredericksburg and we sure are glad we found Zac's Cabin!! We LOVED it and we had a great time! We slept the best we ever do thanks to the very comfortable mattress! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for making our stay so good and unforgettable!!

Exactly as expected!

I think it's rare for the photos of a place to actually match perfectly with a place but it was exactly as shown! Quiet, peaceful, cozy, clean!

Clean, but not private

The cabin was very small. It was clean, but from the pictures it appeared to be pretty private. In reality it is located right next to highway 290 and very close to the other three cabins. So if you’re looking for a secluded getaway keep looking.

Dear April, I appreciate you taking the time to write a review of your stay but am sorry that the cabin proved to be smaller and not as private as you expected. Concerning the size of the cabin, we do our best to convey this by clearly displaying its square footage (775) on the listing as well as including photos of the cabin itself. As for the misunderstanding about the cabin's level of privacy, we've updated the listing to include photos of the cabin and its proximity to the other accommodations on the property. We are hopeful that this will assist future guests in being better informed when booking but do once again apologize to you. Concerning the cabin's proximity to Highway 290 West, the cabin is relatively close to the highway at 408 feet away if traveling due north. That said, we clearly list the cabin's location on the map in an effort to insure that guests are fully informed. FANTASTIC TIME IN FREDERICKSGURG

This was our first time away from the kids in 8 years and Zac's Cabin was beyond the perfect pick for our quiet weekend. It is the perfect distance into town, and was so beautiful, clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. I will definitely be recommending this cabin to friends and family; AND WE WILL BE BACK! I also enjoyed the sunsets, creek view, and how respectable our neighbors were at night. THANK YOU GASTEHAUS SCHMIDT! & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Perfect Little Spot

Staying here exceeded my expectations. It’s cozy, and has everything you need in a little cabin. Super clean, bed was comfy, and is so close to town. I’m not sure if this was in the descriptions, but there’s a bar on the property that has live music and an area for games (horseshoe, corn hole). Very family friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing stay

We came down for a wedding and most the time even in the beautiful city of Fredericksburg we just wanted to be on our back porch in the hot tub looking at the scenery. The cabin was exactly how explained, it was very clean and we loved how warm (temperature wise) it was when we walked in and made it so homey.

Charming cabin

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was perfect! Just a short drive to Main Street and all the shops. The cabin was adorable and had everything we needed. Great back patio overlooking a creek and a wonderful hot tub to relax in after a day of wine tasting🤗 We would definitely stay here again!!

Will definitely be back!

We celebrated our honeymoon in Fredericksburg and stayed here. It was exactly what we wanted!! Super cute and cozy! The only thing we didn’t like was all the spider webs and gnats stuck on the front door. (Bugs scare me LOL)
