Perfect waterfront rental

Great hostess and waterfront bay location for paddleboarding or kayaking . The cottage is decorated SO welcoming.With great views and decks, and a new gas fired stove to keep chilly nights warm. . Acces to laundry if needed is a huge bonus. A well stocked kitchen , a dishwasher ,and a nice gass grill mean meals are a breeze. Nature enthusiasts will love this area.

This cottage is a hidden gem, so well cared for, the decor touches are charming, the view is beautiful, and the neighborhood is quiet. Our host, Mary, was so welcoming and helpful and made us feel right at home. The kitchen had everything we needed, and a grill was right outside. The two decks have lots of nice seating. We especially enjoyed the sunporch for viewing the swans that live in the bay. The location was great, close to Fair Haven, and all that the south shore of Lake Ontario has to offer. If you are hesitating on this, don't, we guarantee you'll be happy there. It is small but super comfortable and we had a wonderful week, we are planning on going back next summer!

Always peaceful

Life on this little bay is peaceful and beautiful. Great for paddling and floating ! Many birds, turtles and beaver. The cottage has a great view and everything you will need.Wonderful host , and amenities.

Place you want to come back to again and again

It's our third year in a row for staying at Bayfront Red Creek cottage. We absolutely love it! It's cozy, clean, well-stocked, peaceful and quiet. Anything you might think of is supplied! Amazing hosts, friendly, thoughtful, make you feel like family! We enjoyed kayaking, playing various outdoor games, hiking. We would rate it 10 stars if we could. Highly recommend!

Best paddleboard destination, nature ,great accommodations

This is a very special place ❤️. The hosts have thought of everything you may need and more.We had a great stay and will be back. We got to see Bald Eagles , hummingbirds , beavers , deer, and turtles. The cottage is beautiful and right on the water .We always use the grill and eat outside.Nearby Fairhaven shops are fun and close to museums and restaurants. No lack of things to do near here, or just soak up the sound of birds and the water.Nice furnishings and TV for night time relaxing, great views from inside too.

A slice of heaven

Uncle Johns on Blind Sodus Bay is the perfect getaway! The cottage itself, is located right on the edge of the bay, so all you will hear are the relaxing sounds of waves and bird song. The cottage has full amenities! Plenty of room to sit and enjoy, inside and out! A full kitchen, from glassware, pots and pans, to frosted glasses in the freezer. All you’ll need to do is plan your own menu. If you prefer, there’s even a grill outside! The entire cottage is decorated by Mary (the hostess), who has the perfect eye! All bedrooms have their own theme, and she even decorates for certain times of the year. There’s a fireplace in the living room for those nights where you’d just like to be cozy and watch a movie. Outside, there’s plenty to do! If you just want to read a book in the sun, there’s a beautiful deck with the best chairs. If you’re more of a night owl, there’s a fire pit, and when the season allows, there’s even a personal pier! The area itself, is quiet, quaint and full of different sites to see! From the little restaurants in town, to the adorable shops! Also, I would like to say that Chuck and Mary are the best hosts that anyone could ever ask for and they were more than happy to help us with any questions that we had!I highly recommend this cottage to anyone who’s interested in a getaway to the most perfect place on Earth!

Simply the best!

Mary and Chuck were fabulous hosts! Every detail was thought of and we felt like VIP’s from the second we arrived to the second we left. We cannot wait to go back! The view, the hospitality, the amenities, the hosts all 5 stars!! Actually 5 stars is not enough!

Cottage by the water

Cute cottage with plenty of room for us (a couple). Loved the cozy fireplace (gas, so easy on and off). Bathroom was clean and well-stocked with towels. Note: If you have trouble going up and down stairs, you might not love it here. Steep stairs (with plenty of handholds, but still...) to go down and up to the kitchen. Nice deck outside to watch the water and the swans.

A little slice of heaven

Having been a cottage owner for 35 years on BSB, and 15 years ago, building our permanent home there on the end of the peninsula, we had the opportunity to stay at Uncle John’s cottage twice during 2022. It was such an honor to stay at one of the original cottage built in 1951 by the Wiltse family. One of the founding members of the bay association and stewards of the bay and surrounding properties, Chuck Wiltse and Mary Connery have kept the Wiltse traditions strong through the years. Mary has done a wonderful job of capturing the history of this 71 year old camp through her tasteful decoration and appointments throughout the cottage. The cottage was immaculately clean and free of any spiders, etc. Every corner of this cottage was sealed and meticulously cared for regarding safety and comfort. We stayed during the hottest week of the season in July and the coldest week in the last week of October and the A/C and gas fireplace and heaters kept us cozy and comfortable. It was such a pleasure to be the guests of this kind and knowledgeable couple and to share their family history with us.

Everything was excellent. Mary and Chuck went above and beyond to accommodate myself and 2 friends. We had an excellent time. They were so thoughtful and gracious, making sure had more than enough of what we needed for a little getaway. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to visit the area, do some fishing, or just hang by the lake!

Great calm bay for paddle boarding, kayaking,and fishing .Wonderful hosts are next door and very accommodating and knowledgeable. Beautiful cottage, all the amenities. It's very quiet and relaxing. Eagles, swans, turtles beavers. Sunsets, just wow.

A magical getaway!

Mary and Chuck are the ultimate hosts! This quaint quiet cottage has EVERYTHING you could ever need to enjoy a wonderful getaway! Mary was so kind to show us around “Uncle Johns Cottage”. The town has just what you need to make your stay memorable. I can’t thank Mary and Chuck enough for their hospitality and incredible view! You don’t want to miss out on renting this one!

So Clean, So relaxing , everything you need

Fully stocked kitchen , nice beds , coffee makers , right on the water. Nice furnishings and shower. Toiletries like soaps, conditioners shampoo and cotton swabs provided ! as well as kids games , extra life vests. These people thought of everything. Extra blankets and roll out bed , cable TV, decks , outside tables , grill. Just so wonderful. Had a great time !

Waterfront cottage

My husband I had the pleasure of staying at this cottage for our anniversary trip. Mary and Chuck were very hospitable. The cottage was clean and just as seen in the photos. It’s a very peaceful part of upstate New York. We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful Lake Front Cottage

Chuck and Mary have a beautiful very well appointed cottage. We had a great time relaxing with family. This cottage is very well kept and offers amazing sun sets! The kitchen is so inviting it was a pleasure to cook meals and bake goodies for the family. Chuck and Mary live right next door they were very helpful and respectfully of our privacy too! It was also awesome that we had a dock to tie our boat off to. Great place looking forward to our next visit!
