Our A-Frame cabin is in a beautiful tranquil setting on 23 acres of meadows and woodland, with trails. You can watch deer, wild turkeys, birds (an eagle nests close by), or just sit and read and unwind. We are just two miles from Fairview, and not far from Mio, where you can purchase food and supplies, or eat out when you don't feel like cooking. We provide TV, DVD player, Roku with Netflix, Wifi, wood burning fireplace, fire pit outdoors, Ramp to the back door if needed, swing, grill on large deck, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee pot. Firewood can be purchased on the property for a very reasonable price (On Lori Lane before you get to the A-frame). ******You supply sheets and towels.******

Second time having the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property. Clean, cozy cabin with all the essentials. Gorgeous deck overlooking large pond. Love that they provide kayaks and a fishing boat. Wi-Fi for watching Netflix, games etc. Will be back again. Thanks so much!!

One of the best properties we have stayed in! Property is secluded,quiet, great fishing, and so beautiful. Trails were fun to walk daily. The outdoor space is perfect! The deck is great for sitting and watching over the water for all the birds, and wildlife. The firepit area was shadded and perfectly nessled under a canopy of trees that served as a rain shield for the 2 days it rained a little. The little beach was so nice too, we swam, fished, and just had such a great time. The A-frame was so beautiful and awsome craftsmanship, built in 69 i believe i read, and it looks like new. Clean, had everything we needed, and so charming. Beds were comfortable and the furniture was nice too. Good size rooms all around. Just a beautiful house and Property. Hope to stay again next year. We had an amazing week. Thank you for having us.

We totally enjoyed our stay at this property. The surroundings so peaceful. We still kept busy. We kayaked the AuSable River, went to Perry Lake with our pontoon and had excellent fishing. We were able to have a fish fry and still take some home for the freezer. Visited Hubbard Lake and drove over to Alpena one of the days. Last day was gorgeous, so we checked out McCollum Lake, not very far from cabin. We really enjoyed that lake. Walked the trails at cabin, kayaked at the pond and had a fire every night. GOOD TIMES, GOOD MEMORIES!!

Peace and tranquility

This is our 4th visit to the Aframe. The setting is idyllic, nature is everywhere. It is more peaceful than anywhere Ive ever been. We will be returning next year.

Relaxing, peaceful and clean

The A Frame cabin was exactly what my friends and I needed for a weekend away from everyday life!The cabin was very clean and fully stocked. The outdoor area is just wonderful and peaceful! The stargazing at night was great as well! Had it not been windy and cold, we would have been on the provided kayaks or canoe. The maple syrup left for us was a nice surprise and was delicious! While it was a great place to relax with a few friends, it's a place I'd very much enjoy with my family as well!The host has great communication and makes sure you have everything you need, and aware what's availability locally.We loved the A Frame!

Perfect Weekend Stay

Lovely property and clean cabin. We had a blast last weekend playing hockey at the local park and watching rally cars. This was the perfect place to come back to.

Perfect Weekend Escape

My friend and I had the best weekend at this property! The information regarding location, local amenities, and the cabin itself were spot on and it was SO clean! We loved waking up to seeing the blue jays and cardinals enjoying their breakfast from the back deck and it was exactly the relaxing experience we were hoping for!

Magical Family Get-away

This place is really beautiful and spacious, our family of six had plenty of space and privacy. Just remote enough to enjoy a quiet weekend full of fishing, exploration and s’mores around the fire! We will definitely come back again in the summer!

Absolutely Wonderful!

Weekend getaway

The A frame was nice and cozy. Check in was easy. A nice place to unwind and relax. Had to communicate with owner about a leak that we found when we checked in and they were quick to respond. The firewood that was supposed to be there for the inside wasn’t there but that was ok. Overall we had a nice relaxing weekend.

Peaceful

Stayed for my husbands birthday. Fished and enjoyed the quiet time away from Lansing. Would love to stay again. It was a very cozy cabin and beautiful scenery.

The Detweiler's built the AFrame in 1969 and have been renting to vacationers ever since that time. There are many second generation families still vacationing at these cabins that they stayed at during their childhood. Our family has recently started to manage the property with our main goal being to keep everything like Ruel and Sara managed it. Our family has been coming to the Detweiler's cabins since 1982; hunting, fishing and enjoying nature. We have so many fond memories of our times spent here and we know that many other families have similar cherished memories here. That's what makes this place so special to so many.

This is a beautiful place to enjoy all four seasons. In the spring, maple syrup is made from trees on the property, wild flowers, and mushrooms abound in the area. Spring is a good time to view deer, turkey, and migrating birds. Summer is family time for hiking, fishing, swimming, or basking in the Michigan sun. There is time for day trips to Mackinaw Island, or Light Houses along the shore. In the fall, the autumn colors are some of the best in the state. Winter snow and frozen lakes bring joy to skiers, snowmobilers, and ice fisherman. This is also time to enjoy a good book by the crackling fireplace.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The A-Frame cottage is unique with its open stairway leading to the third bedroom in the open loft with upper deck off the bedroom. WiFi is available and allows you to bring your work with you if you choose. The dishwasher and wood burning fireplace are also newer to the AFrame. The best thing that many enjoy, is the privacy and away- from- it- all feeling that you have when you stay here.
