Winter sunrises or summer water fun, Waldins is a beautiful retreat any time of year. With the million dollar view just out back there is no need to go anywhere else. Recently renovated, the house is immaculate. State of the art entertainment system and modern kitchen provide all the accoutrements necessary for a comfortable stay. On the water without the typical "beach house" decor, this place is one of a kind with it's southwest styling and charm. Bring your water toys, dock at our 160ft pier and maximize all the area has to offer. Winter time sunrises and coffee are a perfect pairing. Enjoy the areas waterfront dining, bars, nightlife or sit on the veranda and watch the areas bald eagles, other wildlife and passing vessels. Light a campfire in the backyard and tantalize your senses - fire & water for a true private beach experience like none other. Life is good here. Waldins vacation home has easy access from I95 and is the best kept secret on the tip of the Chesapeake Bay.

Best sunrise ever! This property is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee at sunrise, or bourbon at sunset! Located on the water, you are only a few short feet from a dip in the bay or dropping a fishing line in off the dock! A must for the relaxed traveler or a place to let the kids play outside all day!!

Our group was blown away by this amazing spot! Your home is lovely and it was an honor to stay here for the weekend. The house was so clean and your outdoor deck area is perfection. Amazing communication leading up to our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and so many linens available for our guests. Thank you, Waldins!

Matt was the perfect host. Great, friendly communication. He responded promptly prior, during, and after our stay to all questions and requests we had. Pros - The kitchen is well stocked, the views are terrific (one of our main reasons for staying here), and the master bedroom is huge with a spectacular view to wake up to.Cons - there are no closets or hooks to hang clothes in the 2 guest rooms. We found the LR furniture difficult to be comfortable in. All in all we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. TY Matt.

The river house has an absolutely amazing view! My kids were thrilled with the chance to fish off a very long dock and even get their feet in the water on a small beach below the house (when the tide was out). Overall, the house was perfect and just big enough for our large family of seven. Matt was very responsive to a few questions I had and was a wonderful host!

Beautiful views and great host

Everything about this rental was easy, from check in to departure. We had one challenge with the TV and the host answered my text immediately and solved the issue for us. House was clean and as described in the listing. Highly recommend.

Peaceful stay

The water views, sunrises, and many local birds, including a nearby osprey nest, were all spectacular. The whole back of the house is a bank of windows (living room and master bedroom). It feels private as your view is just your outdoor lounge area, dock, and the water. No big downsides (minorly need space for tooth brushes as the sinks are mostly the sink bowls). Everything was clean,and comfortable. In similar off the beaten path vrbo's we've had lower cleanliness or ants, but not here! The location was good for day trips within a 30-90 minute drive.

Family Mini Vacation

From booking to check out Matt was great! Property was clean and felt like home. The water view was beautiful and just sitting out and enjoying the water from the deck, the kids were in the water our entire stay or fishing off the pier. We definitely will be booking again!

Beautiful view

This is an adorable, clean, and well appointed cottage with an amazing view and location on the water. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The host was great to deal with. We would absolutely stay again, and hope to.

A relaxing getaway

We were in town dealing with a very stressful family matter, so returning to this peaceful, quiet property every evening was just what we needed to decompress. Gorgeous water views, TVs in every room, a nice kitchen, and washer/dryer - what more could you ask for? Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Peaceful setting

Great Stay, Even in terrible weather

Our Family decided to take a last minute Spring Break trip and had a fantastic time. Matt was a great host and easy to communicate with. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the local dining options. Despite terrible weather that we experienced, we made the best of our trip and had a great time.

Enjoyable Chesapeake Stay

Cute, up-to-date house, peaceful location, beautiful views. Well supplied kitchen, including sharp knives! Excellent communication with owner – prompt and helpful. Fast internet. Could use more bathroom surface areas; a few more hooks to hang clothes and towels; and an additional umbrella or two outside for shade. My mom, sister, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful Getaway

We stayed at the Waldin's Chesapeake while our son attended camp. This home was so clean, and well equipped with everything! Matt was very quick to answer our questions. We ate at some of the places that Matt recommended, and we were so impressed! We will definitely be back in the future.

Slice of Heaven

Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing. The views were spectacular and the beauty of nature surrounds you. The area is rich in history and has so much to offer. The neighbors were super friendly and the owners are just a text or phone call away if you need them. The house was everything we hoped for and more. Our family needed this vacation to recharge our batteries and this was the perfect spot.

Family Wedding Weekend

Rented this home for a wedding we were attending. Nice location on the water. Only downside is one shower so for a group of 8 it was a bit inconvenient. I knew this going in, just should have thought this through with 4 ladies in the group! Owner was great! Very responsive.

Great Getaway

We loved our stay at Matt’s home. Very comfortable with everything you could ask for! Quiet, relaxing and close enough to towns if you want to go explore. We went to a few of the restaurants that Matt suggested and they did not disappoint. We are already talking about the next time we can get back there. Pictures don't do this place justice

This was a sisters week. We went to spend a little time together. The three bedrooms allowed each of us privacy when needed. Comfortable beds. The main bedroom has incredible views.I'm not a bird watcher, but with the binoculars in the drawer (4-5 pair) I enjoyed watching the birds: teal ducks, cranes, and many other birds that I don't know.The kitchen has beautiful dishes, pots and pans, and knives so no need to eat out unless you want.The three things are insufficient light, the hot water takes a whole to come on, and it's barely wheelchair/walker accessible. The wooden walk into the house is barely wide enough and slippery in rain. It also has two right angles to navigate. In the main section, my sister in the walker could get around but the doorways are not wide enough for a walker.

So good!

Just finishing up a Christmas time rental, the property is in great shape, a smooth and easy rental transaction, everything is as described. Really can't ask for more than that. We have basked in the beautiful views and serenity of the Bay, and enjoyed exploring North East coffee shop and restaurants and nearby Elk Neck State Park. The house itself is in excellent condition and was a haven for our family time

Great rental!

This rental was perfect for 3 couples, plenty of room for everyone. House was clean, check in was a breeze, and the entertainment system was awesome. Great location on the water, outdoor space was really setup nice. Enjoyed the fire pit and dock. Although the homes are close together, still feels private. It’s a shared dock, but the neighbors were great! Would highly recommend this rental.

A relaxing New Years Eve getaway

We absolutely loved Matt’s place - the location is perfect (scenic and relaxing, but close to restaurants and shopping in Havre de Grace) and the house had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time cooking and watching Netflix, and since the weather was unusually mild, we were able to spend lots of time on the back porch with our dogs, enjoying the amazing view. We hope we can return in the future - it was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of DC! Thank you for being a great host, Matt!
